SUZ!!
Kris! how’s tx tonight dood?
Hi Suzanne – remember me?
http://freewayblogger.blogspot.com/2011/10/occupying-overpasses.html
Just passed through LA (putting up more signs, natch) and the first one (very beautiful… click on it) was still up! That’s eight days at 135,000 cars per day! Forgot how much I love this job…
-scarlet
scarlet! of course i remember you dood. how the hell ya been?
Big-ass widescreen ‘toon from 1956 – beauty, Suz!
Hey Scarlet!
Texas is kicking ass. We might even get some rain. I think it’s because Governor Perry is off campaigning somewhere.
How’s your neck of the Northwest?
lazy. But all this Occupation has inspired me to get back in the saddle… you?
Aloha, Suz and lln pups…! I just had an awesome Grandson visit…! He’s such a happy-go-lucky soul…! ;-)
scarlet attended the first bear creek meetup in the sf bay area and brought one of his signs
Aloha, scarlet…! It’s been like years…! ;-)
hey newton — how’s the bay area tonight? tis warmer tonight with the rain (which appears to be mainly falling all around me and not here) and still a toasty 46 outside
freeway! where have you been?
overcast and wet (laughing) not as cold as earlier in the week — i got down to 35 for an overnight low night before last
Great sign.
occupy has inspired a lotta folks! its really energized people with its message that it was able to blast through the media wall the tradmed had erected about the voice of the american people — tis good to finally be talking about real problems and exposing the banksters and the other looting fraudsters
aloha tut — how old is the little guy now? how’s paradise tonight?
I’ve been messing around with bicycles and sails and trying to combine the two. Just did a bunch of signs in LA – heading up for the bay area…
senator! how’s sac tonight?
Downpour, then nada.
Downpour, then nada.
Can’t make up it’s mind.
yeah… sorta like up here :) i’ve only had about 1/3rd inch so far. got on and off showers forecast through weds
Alrighty, I’m off to bed. I’m only up because I’ve been helping the wife contact Occupations around the country. Occupy Austin has a line on free Radio Stations for Occupations so we’ve been reaching out to media teams.
Remember folks – Capitalism Works! Let the free markets adjust your clocks for you.
He’s 2+ mos…! The little bugger’s growing like a weed…! ;-)
I swear he looks just like the original Gerber baby, complete with curly locks…!
g’nite kris
awwwww got a new pic of the little guy?
I heard – somewhere – that the original Gerber baby was Humphrey Bogart…
per snopes he’s not :(
Just checked it on snopes. Humphrey Bogart was not the original gerber baby BUT… His mother was a commercial artist and his image was used for a different brand of baby food way back when…
He always was cute.
Also supposedly a great chess player – like he could get any cooler…
you know how to whistle steve?
Atlanta Occupiers made to vacate park. Motorcycle cop accelerated and drove through crowd, then arrested the kid he hit.
Interesting guerilla peacefare approach of the occupiers: march up and down Peach Tree Street making noise so that the cops will have to stay all night, resulting in padding the overtime pay of officers whose pensions were cut and at the same time, busting the city’s police budget.
Genius, IMHO….
just like bogie and bacall
hey robert — how’s soPA tonight?
Got my green tea on my left & my lemon cake in my lap….
oaklahoma had another quake tonight.. a 5.6 – strongest in ok recorded history
The little momma has posted one or two…! ;-)
Holy shit fire.
and the sweetie is snoozing :) good to hear all is as it should be
Fucking fracking….
look at all that hair! ohmystars he’s so forking cute tut
Crap.
Good thing there’s no North-to-South running pipelines in those parts.
Nope. The Sweety is my lemon cake tonight.
Oh my, sweet.
exactly what i thought. uk banned fracking after they started having quakes. our fucking broken system ignores the quakes or calls them an natural process and blows them off. they are a forking result of the forking fracking
You should see him smile…! His eyelashes alone are to die for…! ;-)
boy babies seem to always have the bestest eyelashes. my mom still wishes her lashes were as lush and full as my brother’s are.
If you have pressurized gas keeping two layers separate, then removed the gas, guess what happens?
nature abhors a vacuum
nighty night firepups… gotta get up early and dismantle the military industrial complex… will keep you posted.
play it sam
g’nite scarlet
I will get some vid of him beaming away and fluttering those lethal eyelashes…! I promise…! ;-)
All I know is that the problems of three lonely beans don’t amount to a hill of people in this crazy world…
here’s lookin’ at kids, you.
i can’t wait to squeal with delight :)
still appropriate after all these years….
I will opine that the majority of the Atlanta cops were obviously favoring the occupiers. Yep, they made some token arrests, but then the horse & SWAT cops went into what looked to me as some kind of performance art, just holding in place, then after satisfied the act was over, marched away, leaving street cops behind…
i heard something was happening at tulsa occupy tonight – arrests maybe? i wonder if the quake resulted in the tulsa cops being pulled off occupy to do other public safety duties
One thing the Better Half and I noticed is how mellow he is…! He’s raring to talk and crawl, but, is truly happy go lucky and not much fazes him except being hungry…!
julianna is a really good baby too. she’ll let ya know if she’s unhappy but it quickly blows over. she’s real eager to please — just like her mom was. jen was such a good baby — i used to joke that jen was lucky she was the first because if stephanie had been the first, there may not have been a second. steph was a climber and her automatic reaction to being told no was to laugh and keep doing it.
There are just too many cities & towns in this country. Smack around 2 or 3 every weekend, but the only means of obliterating them all is dropping bombs all in one night on the whole country….
I hope the two of them are laughing their keisters off while they read this.
Hola, latelatenighters! Tomorrow is our annual Marigold Parade, Day of the Dead. It is my favorite event pretty much every year. (Un)Occupy is going to have quite the presence.
Occupying for America. I moved my money, closed my TBTF bank account yesterday.
yup, its like a game of whack a mole… they hit in different cities each night
bg! how’s nm tonight? i love my credit union….
And the whacked moles just return to their dens after….
they would laugh and jen would say something about how she was the better baby and steph would respond with she was the cuter baby and they would go off into who was better at what…
It was colder than frack today, OMG, I winterized the last of the coolers today, been dragging my ass on this last one, I thought my hands were going to fall right off from the cold. But it is done, everyone is happy, and I moved on to our parade production, took the day off of protesting and skipped the BofA movement today.
yay for getting the last one done! sometimes ya need some down time in order to recharge your batteries. your parade sounds like a fun way to recharge bg
Yep, about the only creative outlet I am using these days, our group is going to be kick ass I am sure. I only know what I am doing, but another bunch of people are making a float. The theme this year is “unmasking the dream” so we are making two-sided masks, one with the dream (health care, graduation, jobs, retirement, homes, etc) and the other with the reality: no health care, student loan debt forever, no jobs, work til you die, foreclosure. I think they are going to be great, but will have to wait for the final product on Facebook of course.
Ta ta, gotta get some rest, take care Suz and all. See ya on Facebook!
take pictures please!
Preview of my short story Snow Globe, which will be included in the Circle 8 Writers Group’s upcoming Christmas anthology:
Ralph pounded the door with his bare knuckles. With every collision of thin skin to wood, hot pain shot through his fingers and bore into his bones. Come on! Come on! he thought. The wind-churned whirlpools of sharp snow attacked his sick wife, her fragile body shielding his from what he knew he deserved, not her. He mentally cursed God for punishing his innocent Julia when it was none of her fault that he had, in their best of times, viewed the homeless with contempt, before his financial collapse had shoved him and his wife and daughter into the world of those he had harbored such disdain for.
Be careful who you condemn today, else God make you walk in their shoes tomorrow, he remembered his mother’s most frequent warning.
“Forget it, Ralph,” Julia said. She brushed the snow off the placard that had been blown from the door. “It says ‘Shelter Full’. You know they won’t let us in.” She surveyed the landscape behind her for some hint of hope in a blizzard eerily reminiscent of the beautiful glass snow globe her grandfather had given her when she was a little girl. In her enchanting Disney-decorated warm bedroom, she often shook that globe, entranced by the snow showering down on the little village inside. She was trapped with Ralph inside the globe now, the calm and the comfort of their previous world turned upside down, shaken; her child-like fascination of the artificial twisted into adult despair of what had become all too real.
there may not have been a second. steph was a climber and her automatic reaction to being told no was to laugh and keep doing it.
Sounds like me…! ;-)
peeps, my brain has turned to mush. it was a long saturday and i had a lotta fun calling peeps today. however, getting up before the crack of noon has caught up with me
thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight. i’m looking forward to seeing what tut has up his sleeve for sun and mon nites. hope to see ya there!
g’nite all and thank you
nite suz.
me, too.
Good night, Suzanne….
Aloha, Suz…! Sweet dreams and all…! I might be a little late for Mon’s lln… Our local GA is scheduled for about 2 hrs prior to LLN…! *g*
I’m still game if any lln pups want to carry on…! *g*
I suppose not…! 8-(
I do hope to see ya’ll tomorrow nite…! ;-)
evening, firegods
I’m too late to the game. I have 1 1/2 hours of down time watching a pressure cooker and thinking too much about the willingness of People Who Don’t Know Shit to accept the images of “Black Bloc” they see on their screens and then feel confident to expound.
But I’m too late to the thread.
peace, laughter, strength
At my prelim meetup for the GA on Monday, I was pleasantly surprised at our local Anarchists views and their thoughts about occupying…! ;-)
Hey you,
I’m not an Anarchist, Socialist, Anythingist. I just try to get by.
I think we should move through this short life of ours and Do No Harm, leave no footprints, if possible.
Thinking deeper it morphs into feeding, providing health care, education and a safe, energetic, explorative oriented Childhood [one that allows the Inner Expert to come forward, we all were born with one]. Foundations are crucial right now.
Sweet dreams.
Dreams of peace,laughter,strength
