So, I was at Regions Bank at noon making a business deposit. The woman in front of me goes up to the counter and sez, “I want to close my account.” The head teller, Mark, a really nice guy with a gorgeous yellow lab puppy, asks her why. She sez that since they’ve raised their minimum balance on checking accounts to $1500 she’s taking her money elsewhere. Mark cashes her out and she’s on her way. No fuss, no muss. This was a woman in her early 60s. We had to go round and round with them when they raised the business account minimum to $2500. Told them we’d take our money elsewhere. Since the company has been doing business with them through who knows how many mergers they backed down.
