Gallup: 50 Percent Support Marijuana Legalization |

For the first time in decades the Gallup poll of American opinions regarding marijuana legalization finds that more American adults support marijuana legalization than oppose it. According Gallup a record 50 percent of Americans think marijuana should be legalized, while only 46 percent think it should remain illegal.

The NYPD had fortified the financial district with structures transforming the area into a kind of Green Zone so no protesters would be allowed to demonstrate in front of the New York Stock Exchange or any other buildings in the financial district.

Before he was the GOP’s 2012 frontrunner, Herman Cain wrote a weekly, syndicated opinion column. And he devoted a lot of his columns in 2008 to talking about how awesome the economy was — and basically saying that anyone who said otherwise was just trying to make Republicans look bad. Over the weekend, as Occupy Wall Street protests escalated, the video of a woman arrested at a Citibank branch for trying to close her account shot through the blogosphere. It wasn’t even the only example of people being denied the opportunity to close their bank accounts over the weekend. And a similar incident occurred two months ago.

The California Medical Association, the largest physician group in California, has recently declared it will now be their official policy that marijuana should be legalized, regulated and taxed.
