8 mos. rain settling in, I guess. I will be in Corvallis tomorrow, but may not have time to check out the Occupy there. Their facebook mentions a protest on campus, but no time or place.

Lovely, warm and sunny late October days here……which we so deserve! We are used to glorious autumns, but we’ve had ongoing June Gloom since maybe April!~ But, hey, we didn’t get snow, so I have no complaints! How’s it rockin’ in your part of paradise?

In America…

I love Corvallis — daughter lived there for several years and I so enjoyed spending time there. I laugh, still, about the young man who put up a sign and made himself available at the Farmers Market to help diversify the place, “Meet a Black Man.” I love his enthusiasm for sharing and I’ll bet he got lots of callers. Wonderful town.

My dad is stronger each day….and doesn’t seem at all sorry to be over the hallucinations from the anesthesia…..tho he does laugh that I remind him that some-un’s would pay for magic mushrooms to see what he was seeing. I do love a 94 year old with a great sense of humor! We, sassy us, should all be so lucky to live so long and with such spunk.

Yep. A gift, really. I’m not religious, so I don’t feel all blessed and such. I just feel lucky that my dad wanted to move down here closer to my brother and me after his second wife died. I really, really enjoyed (since all went well, certainly) being with him through his surgery and recovery. This is a special time and I’m enjoying and appreciating every moment.
