the theme is two kids in love going to a smoke filled jazz club and sitting in the audience, it seems the song is about them, there are a couple or three black singers in the backround dressed in black cotteny mini dress, the lead singer is playing guitar I think I remember and looks like ted danson

well I read Crash of the Titans about a month or so ago, and I remember an anecdote about a company meeting or some such, which I think was in NY. anyway, so many merrill people were PO’d that the higher ups really blew it with all the risky business. But I can’t remember which in particular. And because the scene I remember took place in a room within HQ I’m thinking “department”. but maybe subsidiary fits too.
