Security forces in Yemen have opened fire on protesters in the capital, Sanaa, killing at least 26 people and injuring hundreds
At least four people were killed across Syria on Sunday, the Local Coordination Committees reported, as violence between protesters and Syrian security forces continued unabated.
Having observed two foreign governments totally dedicated to killing people, Rick Perry is confident he can find common ground.
Yeah, and about that video.

Well, he does have good hair — presidential hair! That’s good enough for me! And if he drinks beer, that’s even better! I want my president to be a beer drinker or I’ll feel a wee bit GAY!
WaPoS Jennifer Rubin on Perry’s ghost-written WSJ op-ed:
“…until he personally could articulate his thoughts in detail, [advisers] should forgo the pretense of sophistication.”
The past 11 years have taught us the skill of articulating thoughts in detail might be somewhat overrated in a President. Bush never was able to talk, didn’t matter. Obama expresses himself well, but won’t follow through on his verbal commitments.
That’s true. Bush couldn’t think but acted anyway, and Obama, who, presumable can think, does nothing.
I’m more afraid of Goddhair Perry’s own ideas than those penned for him. Getting people to cheer for executions and death by lack of health insurance is a rhetorical talent we don’t need in a President.
When the Supremes stayed the execution of Duane Buck, Rick Perry said,
Now Republicans may have to wait for Rick Perry to win for meat to be back on the menu?
The CNN/Republican base asks the question: “What about their legs? They don’t need their legs!”
I never underestimate the cruelty and lack of empathy of the GOP and many other of my fellow citizens.
No lack of common ground, Perry likes the killing part well enough to fit in.
No matter who wins the GOP slot, I may have to hold my nose and vote for Zero. While they are all corporate shils and warmongers, perhaps a difference in degree IS a difference in kind.
Zero is killing more people abroad than the dimwit of Texas. You want to talk about “crazy”? Look no further than the mass killer currently in the White House.
My first vote was for McGovern, while my primary votes had always been aspirational, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. (I lived in a lily-white affluent suburb and was hoping to see that I was the only vote for Sharpton but, alas, three others voted for him too!)
You’re right, but so far we have not nuked Iran. So I guess Zero deserves the Peace prize.
…we have not nuked Iran Yet
I can’t imagine voting for anyone from the Crazy Party. It would hurt my self-esteem.
Good morning, pups. The Times, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to move The Pasty Little Putz to Sunday, and put Bill Keller, the former Executive Editor opposite Krugman every other Monday, instead of the Sunday slot he was originally scheduled to have. (Maybe to save the Times the embarrassment of having The Putz next to Krugman? He’ll be just as embarrassing on Sundays…) At any rate, in “Fill in the Blanks” Mr. Keller has a question: Why does Obama let his critics define him? Prof. Krugman, in “The Bleeding Cure,” says that austerity is inflicting vast pain now, and killing our future, too.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. I must admit not having to face The Putz on Monday is nice, but I’ll resent the hell out of the Times every Sunday now… Have a great day.
Marion, I’m alway appreciative of your reading Douchehat so that the rest of us don’t have to. Guess I’ll have to add Bill Keller, too.
Obama kept McSaim from the presidency. That is the sole reason he got the peace prize, and the sole reason he deserves it.
Good point. He also managed to warmonger in his acceptance speech, so double points for him
So no longer “Hope for change” now it is “Hope for fairness”. Still bullshit from the lying swine.
You mean, “Hope for a quick end to the debate so he’ll stop giving away the farm.”
Good morning ,
Simple republican logic
a Greed good
b greed kills
c killing good
If the criminal justice system was near perfect,I would have no problem with the death penalty. But when over 100 people have walked out of the death house in the last 35 years after being freed by mostly DNA evidence,I have a big problem with it. There is no doubt in my mind that innocent people have been put to death in this country including Willingham in Texas under Denny Dimwit.
I just want a kitten to love until the blizzard of the world overtakes the order of the soul…..is that so wrong?
I guess nobody bothered to read what’s happening in Yemen, although what that has to do with Rick Perry is quite beyond me.
I see these things and I think we’ll be seeing them in the USofA before very much longer, unless TEEVEE really IS SOMA and all we can think of is to watch the Emmy’s to see which “Reality Show” wins it.
Anybody else notice the top story front page coverage on Google of that plane crash in Nevada which ran for three days straight, like there wasn’t ANYTHING AT ALL going on of interest in the rest of the world?
Oh, and it was just announced on the local nooz that the police state will start checking sport fans for weapons at the gates… make sense to me in this senseless mess America has become.
I agree Republicans will look you in the eye when the stab you and Obama will stab you in the back when your not looking. Write in single payer or something else. The R vs. D. paradigm is dead IMHO. There is only one party.
