The graph really speaks for itself. This is very bad news for the Obama campaign. People’s increasingly negative perception about the economy have destroyed Obama’s economic job approval numbers, which has dragged down his overall job approval numbers. It is hard to imagine how any President can win re-election when the economy is ranked as the top issue by voters and 71 percent of Americans disapprove of the President’s handling of the economy.

I don’t think this is something that making sure bearded professors know their place will fix.
When you have even Fareed Zakaria, a guy who was telling the rabble to stand down just a week or so ago, saying that job creation must be the top priority, you know this is starting to be a hair-on-fire moment. The Obama proposals he’s going to unveil in September when Congress returns will be nice, but aren’t likely to change Republican minds. Zakaria recognizes this and then proceeds to tout policies, outside of making visas easier for tourists, that have to go through Congress.

Not really interested in getting into this firebagger/Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman is but a mere child thing (written by a worldly 28 year-old who has seen and done it all, man) but it is a sad fact of life that there are some many within the Obama White House who see the liberal base as someone you call up every four years for a quickie fuck and then don’t return their calls or respond to their texts for another four years. Some of these people are (or were) major players like Rahm or William Daley and others are like OFA’s New Mexico State Director Ray Sandoval who plays the role of Guy Fleegman in our current drama.

This is really happening. Elizabeth Warren has a website up paid for by her exploratory committee for the US Senate in Massachusetts. The Harvard Law professor and former Administration official, who set up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, is taking emails from people to sign up for updates, soliciting donations and asking people to spread the word.

Governor Rick Perry’s presidential campaign office did not respond to repeated requests regarding his ownership of stock in Movie Gallery, a video rental company that was boycotted by American Family Association for the pornographic and violent films it sold and rented.
Florida’s Private Prison Mess |
| By: WhyIHateCCA Thursday August 18, 2011 2:08 pm |
Florida is embarking upon the largest prison privatization plan in history. No state has ever undertaken such an ambitious expansion of their private prison system, and for good reason; private prisons consistently fail to live up to contractual obligations, don’t save money, and provide less efficient services than government-run prisons.

| By: Kevin Gosztola Thursday August 18, 2011 11:30 am |
The Obama Administration announced new sanctions on Syria today, in conjunction with a statement calling for President Asad to step down. Such sanctions may not be effective, and they tend to have adverse consequences for innocents. Pressure from neighboring states may be more effective.

It actually takes political skill to be a really good panderer, and as the Secessionist has demonstrated this week time and time again, he just doesn’t have it.
