I did my yoga exercises today. Must be why I’m ready to sleep at a reasonable hour. Had skipped a couple days…bad. Well, yesterday spent all afternoon in the pool…that was good, too.
Yoga class is on hiatus while teacher traveled, visited family, etc. Starts again in a week or two. Can’t believe how much I’m looking forward to it!

sorry for the delay in replying — i’ve been cleaning up a flood in the kitchen. didn’t see the back sink faucet got turned on when i put the garbage canister sorta in that sink to finish draining. its too big for that tiny sink so part of the plastic inner can hung out over the lip to the storage bin below. water tricked down the face of the cabinet and there was about 4″ in an empty (thank goodness) storage bin below the sink and of course, that bin has no drain so it was drippiing onto the floor of the cabinet and then to the kitchen floor. oy

so if ya wanna know how my day was, well, a flooded kitchen is a pretty good metaphor…

I’ll make you feel better. Once, I left a faucet barely running (I was half asleep) in a sink that was kinda clogged. A few hours later I woke up and the water had overflowed the sink, went through floor to the ceiling below, then got caught up in the ceiling fan downstairs and was, well, dispersed but good.

Pretty sucky then, eh…? My condolences, Suz…!

Good, thanks CT. There’s a county fair going on nearby and while there are no music groups I want to hear this year, I enjoy hearing the crowd noises as they go on the rides…and I like going to see the 4-H projects.

It was one of those situations where all I could really do was laugh. What are the chances an overflowing upstairs sink will run into a running ceiling fan in the basement?

I’d imagine, as you are on the Islands, you run your ceiling fans 24/7 as I do. They are just there. I give them not a thought-unless they stop working.

I will be listenin to them durin’ some a those long, dark nights ahead here in Cheeseland when we get down and dirty and start feelin sorry for ourselves…lotsa work to do and need to listen to folks who understand that the blues and the struggle are all we got.

I signed a petition by Ron Paul to end these Wars, way back. Now I’m on every Repug mailing and robocall. Huckabee calls me more than Mr. Future Lobbyist, House Congressman Rick Larsen. She who must not be named is now sending us scary, wild eyed mailers. Also, John McCain, for some fucking pathetic reason.
My confusion: Do I seize the moment and answer every fucking bullshit poll, because we’re the demographic. Do I take the time to tell them all how awesome they are? Count me in on your approval rating, ya betcha?
I’ve been screening the robocalls, but , the human contact is coming next. I’m thinking it’s prison labor doing the personal calls. I always ask if they’re calling from a prison,…then try and have a few laughs, cuz their job sucks.

My husband got a robo-call from the NRA the other day. He wasn’t here, so I picked up. It was a recorded message from LePierre, NRA pres.

He repeated again and again that “the UN, on American soil, is going to take away your gun rights.”

Then they asked if [the recipient of the call] would “approve of the UN, on American soil, taking away our gun rights.” They must have repeated that phrase 4 or 5 times in the routine of asking the question.

I responded that “yes, it was okay with me for the UN . . . ”

Hope that shuts the fuckers up.

I’m jumping ahead to when somebody has to move far away! I’m a Bollywood drama all in myself. I can start with the emptiness of having your child leave and work my way back to actually raising said child!

I devote most of my efforts to writing nasty remarks on the pleas I get from Obama, the DNC, DSCC, DCCC and OFA.

But somehow I got on some crazy list for Bush. Had to write a few more responses to get off that one.

I’ll have to ask husband, who’s out of town for two weeks, how he thinks he got on NRA’s list.

Usually replying to all those Democratic calls & letters keeps me busy.

The Dems don’t send me too much these days. Probably because I ended our long term relationship and went Independent last year. I think they just don’t give a damn. Or, they’re the best ex-boyfriend I ever had. No is No.
