Good evening, CT….
Tut!
Belch and I are hanging out in Corn-land; Lincoln, NE. Waves of grain!
another fine day here in this little cove. saw the wind was kicking up little mini whitecaps on the bay but it was calm on my deck :) lotsa eagles flying over today — i think they were headed outta dodge until tourist season is over
Aloha, ‘the robert’…! ;-)
How’s soPA tonite…?
Do eagles bombard freshly washed & waxed parked vehicles like their smaller divebombers do?
Been following your reports of the flotillas. What are your views on this late-breaking development:
Israel accepts Greek offer to transport flotilla’s aid to Gaza; ships due to depart Monday
Israel has agreed to the Greek government’s offer Sunday to send the flotilla’s humanitarian aid to Gaza with Greek diplomats, under UN supervision. The offer is intended to serve as a compromise in order to end the flotilla affair.
According to a separate report, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also expressed support for the Greece government’s offer.
According to the Greek initiative, the humanitarian aid aboard flotilla ships will be loaded onto watercraft of the Greek government and transferred to Gaza via the organized channels, as was requested by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon two weeks ago. This means the aid would go through either the Ashdod port or Arish, and from there be taken to the Gaza Strip under the supervision of Greek and UN authorities.

Aloha, Kelly…! Any fireworks on tap…? ;-)
Do you know whom is convienantly left out of all those ‘negotiations’…? The actual crews of the flotilla…! 8-(
From what I’ve read, the Captain is being held in horrendous conditions….
Oh yeah. I smell like cordite right now!
I’d think the supplies getting delivered would be ‘mission accomplished’ in that that was the purpose, anyway….
No bed, toilet, food, and water…! Pretty shitty conditions if ya ask me…! 8-(
Hello, mod clean up on SPAMMER, username lsl79
We don’t really need to treat each other humanely ever, now do we? =P /s
Just down the street from me, on Coconut Island they set off the big boyz…! ;-)
Hey Sweetie…! It’s been far too long…! How’s New York state tonite…? *g*
It has been a while, and thank you. I moved east in the state about 5 hours away to watch a house my parents rent out over the summer, while working. The internet is complete junk down here for various reasons. So I tend not to post much.
Ukulele music is amazing, but consistently puts me to sleep =/
Some more Vedder… Longing To Belong…
Even Mozart Ukulele?
*heh* Apparently, ya never saw Jake play…! Bohemian Rhapsody…
Yes to both =P Unfortunately I cannot do videos with the bandwidth restrictions =/
*ouch* That totally bites…! 8-(
actually I did get that one to work, and yes, the tone is still relaxing. Even with the speed and complexity of that piece.
This has been my usual summer for a while now =P It’s basically being banished to internet hell, which for someone who likes to keep up with the news, and play games now and again, gets pretty tiresome.
Evening all. I love this song,CTuttle. Thank you!
Aloha, open…! How’s The Sound tonite…?
I just came in from the garden, a bright night. Planted the last bed of beans, big bed, the beans I’m supposed to learn how to can with a pressure cooker that could blow my head off. or not. :]
Ooh, I almost missed that comment, actually, that would be lovely, a great theory and all, but, do you realize that last year’s flotilla’s cargo is still sitting impounded in Ashdod…? 8-(
Interesting how compromisy everyone is. Thanks for the news, Robert.
How is everyone this evening? I’m in a very warm, foggy/muggy Palm Springs. Way different from conditions I’ve seen since November. (newbie here…)
dang it, missed it!
Stay safe, M’dear…! ;-)
Aloha, Loo Hoo…! Always a delite…! So the Desert is muggy and humid…?
Oh, and the fuckin’ Sound sounds like a fuckin’ war zone with all the fireworks going constantly…. 3 hours of BOOM. Seriously big booms. At least $25 -$75 Kabooms.!
Good thing our current dogs don’t react to fireworks. In the past it’s been a nightmare for the “other dogs we had”.Plus we lived on the beach were this Little Vietnam is happening right now.
Had to tranq them to the point of rolling red eyes. So sad.
Fuck fireworks.
Best luck with the beans! Pressure cookers scare me too, though everyone had and used them successfully when I was a kid.
Muggy but cooler by 15 degrees. Weird. Something to do with a rainstorm in Mexico, I’m told.
I’m going to ask the old ladies to tell me how. Go to the source. I don’t know anyone who’s doing the food preservation I’m getting into. But, I know the old ladies are still out there.
OMG, my (former) little rat terrier, Millybean, went crazy one night with fireworks. Poor thing was at the bottom of my dirty hamper whimpering.
True, plus we’ve got the internets. Hard to trust the internets, though. Go with the oldies. And the immigrants from Albania. Those folks know their pressure cookers!
*heh* In my military career, I’ve built and set off bigger Boyz…! ;-)
I was wondering if they still had that sitting around… =(
*heh* To get us in the proper spirit of the holiday…! Star Spangled Banner…
LOL,….I will make a distinction between home controlled and random drunken tourist!!!!
There’s a very big difference!!!!!!!
Except when your local neighbors down the beach accidentally tip over a multi shot BIG fuckin’ weapon that’s aimed at your children and your parents as you come down the stairs to the beach and have to dive into the foliage to save your own ass.
And you wonder….fuck, I just saved my own ass. I lost track of the kids. ………
Fuck fireworks.
Very, very cool. And I’ll raise you one Ray Charles.
Believe it or not… A Metal Uke version of Enter the Sandman…!
I’m smiling!
Wow…! That’s totally not cool…! I’d ripped them a new a’hole for that ‘accident’…! 8-(
Glad to know you’re safe and sound…! *g*
OMG! The Tea Baggers on our war vigil corner had a version of Ray Charles singing America The Beautiful. Much more toned down than this version. They fucking blasted it with all their other Pro-America music.
That was a letter -to-the-editor.
I should probably get back into the unfulfilling world of Letters-to-the-editor. maybe
Ray had such a soulful voice…! Btw, I’ve never seen a ‘pop-up’ on a YouTube saying ‘due to racist comments, all comments need approval’…! That is truly sad…! 8-(
Too much Tiny Tim in the media during my youth destroyed my ability to appreciate the ukelele as an instrument.
I have to admit to such a heavy heart this July 4th. I’m just not sure I’m up to the Get Together’s that are coming up. I already begged out of one tonight.
I am struggling with my willingness to accept my friends’ ignorance. It would be different if there was some sense of acknowledgement to the situation our Nation is facing, some recognition of the horrors wrought, some sense of irony at their CoExist bumperstickers……………….
Something more real than Party, good times, warm fuzzy times with scary fireworks.
Probably, this is not the year for Openhope to socialize and drink alcohol. :]
I’ll bet ya heard this one a’blaring away too, open…! ;-)
I noticed that too. And teabaggers may NOT claim Ray’s America the Beautiful. Sorry. It belongs to all Americans.
Aloha, Adam…! It’s been awhile since I’ve seen ya at a LLN…! ;-)
Oh god, how funny! Did sort of put a weird spin, didn’t it?!
Probably, this is not the year for Openhope to socialize and drink alcohol. :]
*heh* Ya wanna see some real fireworks, folks…? ;-)
And they sometimes take your dog with them after they poop on the car.
Garden still lifes at midsummer.
*heh* I thought that was what the ravens do up in your parts…? Or was that the skeeters…? Aloha, Et…! How’s Wasilla tonite…?
Rainy. I hate mowing lawns when they are wet, but I had to, as we’re headed out to go fishing for three days tomorrow. Hopefully, the Greek Coast Guard won’t keep us from going where we want.
Ooh, all of it looks lush and verdant… Looks like you’ll have a bountiful harvest, ET…!
Oh,yeah! Glorification.
They had the bad manners to call the young Iraq Vets Against the War who because we asked them to. they came to try to talk to them,..the Tbags ran to their cars and got cardboard and markers. ” Phony Soldiers”. Limbaugh had just had a thing on Phony Soldiers. So we had an hour of that on the Corner and the wankers called the cops on our most wonderful young men, most brave young men. Each of the young Iraq Veterans Against The War who have come to stand with us, back in the day of an Anti-war movement felt like a son to me. PTSD damaged young men, by their own government, with malice and intention. And “clip-boarded” out of their full benefit package.
Oh crap. This is looking like a rant.
Sorry.
Fuck.
Also, it’s good to get together with family, friends and not talk heavy shit. It is fucking SUMMER!
oy
LOL!
Already almost too much to eat. Not going to get fat on lettuce, arugula, basil, mint, cucumbers, beets and spinach, though.
Rant on, M’dear…! You were on a great roll…! It’s LLN after all…! ;-)
Yeah, the eagles are predictable though. We had coyotes introduced into our community about 6 years ago. Now they’re starting to act like wild dogs, probably cross bred? . No fear of human.
I’ll take the comfort of an eagle and a Yorkie any day. It’s natural. Except for the extendable leash still attached to the dog part.
Thank you. I’ve been very good for far too many days.
There are coyotes in the woods to the north of the lake we live on. For some reason, they never come over here. They may widely cross-breed with feral dogs in some places, but that is rare here. Our dog is way too big for the local Bald eagles – 95 pounds. There are six that hang out on the lake, the youngest being three years old now.
The best Hawaiian uke song evah…! ;-)
I was raised with coyotes in the prairie. For years. These animals are acting more like the feral dogs that also lived in the prairie. People would dump their unwanted dogs in the fields next to us.
The coyotes are active in the day, killed 2 of our chickens in the yard with music going, dogs inside, and came back 20 minutes later to claim the second carcass.. 3 of them howling.
I’m having a hard time finding humor in abnormal/ natural shit this year!! I just did Slug Fest.
Well, wtf, I won Slug Fest.
Well, I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu for the evening…! Mahalo for the great company tonite…! Aloha Oe…! *g*
Good night all.
Thank you CTuttle and EdwardTeller, so very, very much.
I wouldn’t know what was going on with the Palestinian Oppression and the humanitarians of the mission to Gaza who are so brave. So beautiful. The best humanity has to offer.
Sweet dreams
