It looks like all that talk about the banksters being mad at Obama for saying all those mean things about them has been overblown.

Following up on the Filibernie post from earlier today, the president is looking at revenue increases as he enters the debt reduction talks. Too bad he is not even close to the 1:1 cuts for revenue that Senator Sanders is demanding.

As bad as it is too see the Obama Administration caving on worker protections, it is good to see Representatives like Sander Levin standing up and saying no.

The next shoe is going to drop shortly as Private Mortgage Insurers are caught out with way too much liability and way too little reserves to pay them with. Ignoring the housing crisis means that it continues to do damage.

It might be a little late but Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is standing up for the truly progressive point of view. That it should be taxes increases not cuts that make up the majority of our misguided debt reduction talks. The savvy Senator is tapping into social media to show the grassroots support that this idea has.

Karzai has no support from even the political class in Kabul, and opposition lawmakers believe compellingly that they are being railroaded out of Parliament. Karzai’s remaining defenders claim that the opposition came into power through ballot-stuffing and other illegal means, which is quite something for backers of Hamid Karzai to say.
