Yesterday Cantor “walked out” with the result that a parade of “Democratic” lawmakers came along and spouted deficit hysteria and mentioned how they were absolutely not going to give tax cuts to the rich by “increasing the burden on the elderly”, etc. After the parade, I’ll bet Republicans and Democrats got together for cocktails and congratulated each other that not one single pundit pointed out that medicare and social security have nothing to do with the “deficit”. Nor did they even mention defense and warz®.
