Tedeschi Trucks Band – Midnight in Harlem
The Tedeschi Trucks Band just released their debut album “Revelator”…!
Happy Father’s Day to all the FDL Dads…!
What’s on your mind tonite…?
Good evening CT.
Happy Fathers Day to all fathers and to those who do fatherly duties…my friends.
Congrats, eCAHN…! How’s the Valley tonite…? ;-)
Happy Father’s Day all to all of you great dads! Got to spend time with my dad today. What a man!
Mahalo, CE…! How’s Ohio tonite…?
Q: What is so rare as a day in June?
A: Today.
How cool, Loo Hoo…! ;-)
Hi, CT. I just scored to elusive 100 on the last thread….not that anyone else was left. Hey, I’m smiling.
And Happy Fathers Day to the dads. I also enjoyed time with my 93 year old dad. I think I take after him…..I hope so!
We had a great day. MsCE joined us at 10:30 am and we zipped out to lower Ohio for antique malls and the Root Candle Company. Home for a great dinner party with friends who have been parents to our children. Crabcakes, white wine, salads and peaches and ice cream…could it be any better?
My first born arrived the next day after FD’s, the year she was born…! ;-)
That is so wonderful! MrCE’s dad is 90. Just messages from afar.
Aloha, Dearie…! Great to hear ya’ll getting to spend time with your Dads…! *g*
My onlyborn’s bday is coming up on the 26th. 30th. Hasn’t learned anything in 30 years.
Surely he learned to walk and feed himself?….
Um, no.
Apparently he cannot figure out how to do that.
Anybody listen to the clip…? It really is a smooth tune, don’t let the guitar scare ya off…! ;-)
Aloha, robt…! ;-)
You Are Old, Father William by Lewis Carroll
“You are old, Father william,” the young man said,
“And your hair has become very white;
And yet you incessantly stand on your head–
Do you think, at your age, it is right?
“In my youth,” Father William replied to his son,
“I feared it might injure the brain;
But now that I’m perfectly sure I have none,
Why, I do it again and again.”
“You are old,” said the youth, “as I mentioned before,
And you have grown must uncommonly fat;
Yet you turned back a somersault in at the door–
Pray, what is the reason of that?”
“In my youth,” said the sage, as he shook his gray locks,
“I kep all my limbs very supple
By the use of this ointment–one shilling a box–
Allow me to sell you a couple.”
“You are old,” said the youth, “and your jaws are too weak
For anything tougher than suet;
Yet you finished the goose, with the bones and the beak–
Pray, how did you manage to do it?”
“In my youth,” said his father, “I took to the law,
And argued each case with my wife;
And the muscular strength, which it gave to my jaw,
Has lasted the rest of my life.”
“You are old,” said the youth, “one would hardly suppose
That your eyes was as steady as ever;
Yet you balanced an eel on the end of your nose–
What made you so awfully clever?”
“I have answered three questions, and that is enough,”
Said his father; “don’t give yourself airs!
Do you think I can listen all day to such stuff?
Be off, or I’ll kick you downstairs!”
Wow I’d buy an insurance policy for 93 right now!
There’s still hope. And change.
Aloha, Loo Hoo…! Always a delight to see ya…!

Hey Y’All,

I don’t know how to do a deep belly laugh in intertoobz……but I’m happy for Larue………………his happiness makes me smile…….and I’m convinced that he’s sound asleep by now. Good rest for the weary and musically fulfilled. Nice.
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain…
OMG. How beautiful, Suz.
tubes are working great up here in oregon — have you cleared your cache?
{{{ Suz }}}
Damp and overcast, huh ? I’ve got some Cosmo coming your way …
my dad was a big chet atkins fan.. that song always makes me cry

Wow…! Aloha, WW…! Great to see ya at LLN…! *g*
Hi Wigwam!! Hope your innertubes get this howdy.
Love my Willie!
We had a soggy May but June has brought great weather.
I’m fully stocked for inclement weather, so say the word and I’ll shove it through teh toobz ! *g*
Am I the only one who finds this comment funny ? *G*
REPHRASE! Love Willie Nelson!
Yer evil, Dewd…! ;-)
ROFL … I blame all the Cosmos today !
too late loohoo (lmao)
Loo Hoo, ygm !
Hi Suzanne,
Yes. And, in fact, I’ve tried to come in from a couple of different computers. In fact, I get a “not available” message for the youtube at the top of this page.
Hmmmmm. So, maybe it’s a local phenomenon.
Hey Loo Hoo,
I’m on AT&T. I have no idea what’s going on.
It’s time for me to make another check of the Internet Weather. I’ll let you know what I’m seeing.
That Guy sent me some new Delbert…! ;-)
Wigwam !
How’ve you been ?
Haven’t seen newt in awhile … all’s well, I trust.
Anyone remember this song? My Dad.
May here better than OK; June has had more rain than all spring, which has been good, but beginning to look like last year’s pattern, which was rain forever. Plus – this rain may be slightly radioactive…
Totally! No going back on the innertubes!
Jeeebus … who’s that on Guitar ?
dang, have ya tried rebooting to see if that clears it up? you may wanna also reboot your modem if you have a cable modem
Okay, so from where I am, I can’t get to google.com, cnn.com, and the southern UC campuses, but I can get to the northern UC campuses and to USC, FDL and Huffingtonpost. Wierd.
ET !
I never thought to ask until you just mentioned it … are they measuring radioactive levels in the Rain?
Hi Petrocelli,
Things have been a bit crazy but going pretty well. I have some slack for the next couple of months and big plans for all I hope to accomplish, which doesn’t usually work quite so well as I hope.
How have you been?
Some great tunes .. slows down the process of making it to the end .. Happy fathers day to all .. this music brings a smile to my face .. as my departed dad was a great musician .. played a lot of Down East music as it was called then .. Celtic Country
Great to see all of you .. /s
I’m fine, thanks … still a hopeless optimist ! *g*
Me too but I try to keep it a secret .. hilarious, Freudian slip? .. /g
I’m the only one who seems to care up here – at least on the web. I’m trying to develop a network, and getting ready to apply for financial help to set up citizens’ measuring devices in about 20 locations.
I’m too old to really care that much about how this effects me or my body, but when ETette called today to wish me happy father’s day, I advised her to hold off on having kids until we know more on how Fukushima might be contained.
Aloha, ET…! How’s the Midnight Sun tonite…?
We’re already detecting trace amounts here…! 8-(
evening, CT … firegods
Loo Hoo, didja get my email ?
Aloha, tearloch…! How’s BC tonite…?
Vancouver gave Canucks everywhere a bad eye…! 8-(
PPDCUS !
Aloha, PPD…! ;-)
This is exactly why the Leafs stay out of the Playoffs … to avoid riots in Toronto ! *g*
Anarchists and mental defectives .. apparently that was going to happen win or lose .. I figure shooting a few of them would take the starch out of their anger
.. BC is fine thanks and we WILL win it all next year .. hows the Islands??
I really meant that I love Willie Nelson, but what the hell!
Ha ha ha .. I canna say a word about the Leafs .. they were my team as a boy, but now with Phaneuf there, I would never cheer for em ..
— I’ll let you know when I next see it. May be a few days.
Oh yes I know .. I just love accidental humour tho .. it is the best kind .. /s
..and never forget, we are laughing with you ..
Same for the Blue Jays…? ;-)
Yes and HELL YES !
Canucks ’12 !
Great to see all of you .. stay safe .. early day on the morrow .. a father and Son song to send me on my way ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdMZinwr__Y&feature=related
Yep, and the Raptors … all run by the same group of Bean Counters. But the Leafs make a bazillion $$$ every year and their Fans follow along without raising a fuss, so they’re in perpetual “rebuilding” mode while management lives high on the Hog [Toronto natives will understand that pun ... *g*]
Summer Solstice is Tuesday nite…! ;-)
Got it! So looking forward to it!
But Vancouver riots are pretty darn romantic.
Good for you.
I became a hopeless cynic when Obama did his FISA flipflop and revealed his cabinet selections. I normally try to console myself with the notion that “where there’s death, there’s hope,” but Obama is young, Biden is just as bad, and there are absolutely no hopeful prospects on the Republican side.
Evening tut an all. Now them be some tunes i like.
Mr. Harpuh got a majority Gov’t and while be King for 8 years, while the Left dithers … so Canada is prolly going to head towards more Oil production and Nuclear Power Plants, even though Europe is phasing out Nuclear and going with Green Energy.
wazzzzzup, dudes?
Aloha, homeroid…! Most fortuitous timing with the 100 mark…! ;-)
I do like the fact that Ron Paul won yet another straw poll, yesterday or so…! ;-)
I’ve only been to one riot in Vancouver, and I can’t remember what they were rioting about. It was in 1972, IIRC, and I was up there from Seattle, helping interview Finnish doctors and nurses about our bombing of North Vietnam. I was staying with some people from FILE magazine. We were pretty wasted when we encountered the riot downtown, but it seemed more raucous than dangerous. They may have been rugby fans.
May be down there finally this week. Ms ET was at Stariski Creek all week and wants to go back for halibut.
Hey dude you planted any heirloom glow in the dark beets this year.
The vast devastation caused by the Tarsand extraction is accellerating Global warming exponentially…!
Okay, I’m doing a traceroute. It looks like the folks dropping my traffic are lightspeed.irvnca.sbcglobal. They get my packets but drop them.
I keep wanting to like Ron Paul because I agree with him on so many things. But, then I remember that he named his son “Rand”. And that kills it for me.
That’s a first for this day. my timing seemed to be behind all day. I actually was looking for more of the album and that delayed my post then i hit the sweet spot.
Not much is available on YouTube, it is their debut album…! ;-)
Congratulations on the 100!
Yes and they want to increase production X 10 …
I agree…! I would like to see a pairing of Nader and Paul on a ticket, each would moderate the other…! ;-)
’twas fun, as always friends … have a terrific week !
G’nite.
Neither Paul, please.
Nite, Petro.
Oooh dessert THANK YOU.
Pleasant dreams, Petro…!
They were growing rapidly and glowingly until the rains started.
But, Ron would siphon off a bunch of the Goopers votes too…! ;-)
Yeah…not that i know much about it but wondering how it will effect the berries around these parts. You know this “good” rain. This much moisture them berries plump nice.
Most of our raspberries died off in a cold snap last winter. Glad you’ve found some. We may be bringing a lot of blackberries back from Seattle in August for our winter jam supply. We always have an empty cooler to bring back, after hauling down fish for mom’s birthday bash.
Wowsers… Anti-austerity protests spread across Europe…
night all – be well
Pleasant dreams, PPD…!
Should start a pool or a time betting board when the American public wakes up to this.
Remember we’re ‘exceptional’…!
I should add that we’ll nary hear a peep of this in our Corporatist MSM…! 8-(
Oh man! You can get some raspberries here from the road side. I will tell you. We have some on the back of the property but you cant have them.
I was most thinking about all the peoples who harvest wild berries on the Alaska coastline. The salmonberry, blueberry, watermellonberry. They could transfer much new ground-glowing-water. That the up take is immediate.
You’re right.
I want to find ways to get people to be able to measure it that are irrefutable. Back in the 50s, 60s and 70s, every community had its civil defense organization with storage places holding barrels of water, food, radiation remediation kits and Geiger counters. Most have gotten too damaged to use, or were destroyed by the end of the last century. Maybe some big foundation can be convinced to create new community radiation protection kit stations worldwide.
Well, I shall thank ya’ll for another great LLN…! *g*
I shall bid ya’ll another fond adieu…! Aloha Oe…! *g*
The winnings could not be high enough for the MSM to cave and win. Yes we are exceptional to a meter.
Some how i doubt funds will come for any monitoring. I saw how the weather patterns ran from the south pacific to Kamchatka to Alaska to the North west.
As yourself i care not for me but for those yet developed. And not to forget it only get’s worse.
