Bernstein’s point is that “traditional” Democratic “Keynesian” messaging doesn’t work anymore. In other words, just calling for increased government spending in a recession doesn’t resonate with a large block of voters. (Uh, right, Jared. They’re called Republicans. And they want you and us to die.)

The message was not the problem; the actions Barry took — and didn’t take — were the problem.

OilyBombadier will eventually have to raise taxes on the capitalist pigs. No other option. Where’s the money gonna come from? Oh, sure–and defense. All crumbling empires rot within. The vile elite refuse to give up war and booty. Oh right, small bidness tax cuts and pay roll tax cuts–that’s the answer.

We’re headed for a bigger crash than 2008, except this time there’s no money. No money! Liberalism is a joke. Capitalism is a joke. It can’t solve the human and ecological problems of the 21st century. OilBombadier is simply a symptom of a failed capitalist system. At least, the Soviets realized state socialism is a failure. Oligarchic capitalism is as well. Only decentralization and mutual aid will save us from wicked elite.

I say Weiner lays down a marker, his resignation for lewd photos after Judge thomas steps down for serial perjury on financial disclosure. Not only has displayed an appearance of impropriety he has engaged in such impropriety with his wife benefiting from his decisions. Which harms the country more ?

Actually, I’m ready for Barry’s big push to kick us 55 and younger folks to the curb with his plans to voucherize Medicare and privatize Soc Security. You know he loves Eddie Munster’s austerity plans. Just can’t say it. How would the Nation spin that bit of right wing skullduggery. I’m sure Van Der Hovel or John Nichols is up to the task. If they kill Medicare, I don’t think I can justify living out my “senior years” worrying about how to pay for medical care. I’d have to leave.

I really could *care less* about Weiner’s tackle being on the ‘net. Whatever… but I beyond disgusted with how Weiner handled the whole situation… like a sniveling, lying, uh, weinie…

I’m also beyond disgusted with idiotic, so-called “Democratic” (PTOUI!) politicians “distancing” themselves from Weiner. Equally sniveling & lying and teh stoopit.

So-called “Democrats” should get offa their collective lazy, self-entitled duffs and say: Who the EFF cares??? Republicans do this sh*t constantly & get away with it. Let’s STOP the madness & the puritanical nonsensical bullsh*t and get down to business.

I won’t hold my breath… Dems? Repubs? All ‘em, every last one of ‘em is full of sh*t. Cue the insane Kabuki Show bc that’s all this toe tapping, wide-stancing is with Weiner’s weiner… more distraction for the rubes…

But Thomas & his wife?? Eh – NO PROBLEM!! IOKIYAR!! Thomas has “divine” protection from the Elite racketeers at the top of the economic pyramid in the USA (bc Thomas does what they want). Weiner: not so much… Weiner is considered expendable in the Kabuki Show. Tossed out as “bread & circuses” for the rubes of all political persuasions. And the rubes all responded predictably…
