That was the point, wasn’t it? I cannot remember whether I’m suppose to actually remember.
Yes, Gaddafi is a terrible person, murderous asshole and a flamboyant dresser. His added bellicosity just makes the farce greater than ever [second only to the tragedy].
But one does start to wonder if we’re also batting two out of three?
Nato warplanes repeatedly pounded targets in and around [Gaddafi's] Bab al-Aziziya compound in Tripoli. Reporters counted at least 27 air strikes by Tuesday afternoon.
Some of the bombs hit a military barracks near the compound, officials said. Others hit the compound itself, Libyan television reported.
The New York Times said what appeared to be bunker-busting bombs had destroyed six or seven buildings, including a reception house and VIP guesthouse where South African President Jacob Zuma was received last week.
Officials told the newspaper that 10 to 15 people had died in the attack, but the figure could not be verified.
But we don’t target specific individuals…as long as it involves bunker busters.
Because then it’s totally moral.

Does a State O Maine robe count as being a flamboyant dresser?
Good morning, pups. It’s Dowd and Friedman today. In “Your Tweetin’ Heart” MoDo says noble wedding vows hold “till death do you part,” but naughty tweets last forever. The Moustache of Wisdom, in “The Earth Is Full,” says we are in denial about the severity of the climate crisis and just how big of a response is going to be needed.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, the cold drinks are in the fridge, and I’ve got apple cranberry muffins this morning. I’m feeling particularly dull this morning, so I’ll just shuffle off, have a cup of tea, and water the garden, or at least the small bits that I’m trying to save, having given up on about half of it out of consideration for the water bill. Have a great day.
Good morning all.
The Magnificent Mindless ‘Merican Murder Machine needs targets any targets just kill, kill, kill because it gives the generals a bigger shot at the stars.
I hear Rome had a Magnificent Mindless Murder Machine. Wonder what became of them and their Murder Machine.
The bombing of buildings that don’t fly doesn’t fly unless we’re watching the rape of a country and the man country decided she’s going to get it so don’t fight it. She was asking for it walking around with all that Oil.
To bad Mc Cain’s brain got elected instead of Obama’s brain, there was so much promise there.
Thanks, Marion.
You don’t mean that the disaster we’ve enabled by total dependence on fossil fuels and the wars that go get the fossil fuels is finally reaching the Friedman conscious level. Took a bit more than an F.U. for that to happen at last.
He surprised the hell out of me too. (I will admit that the title gave me pause — I was expecting another one of those “the earth is flat” things…)
Hopefully being wrong about the war and the related economic disaster has taken a bite out of the reputation even for our media’s darling.
Think it has anything to do with the beating his wife’s family’s fortune has taken?
