Lol..

American commanders say one of the gravest threats to the 46,000 troops here is that they could become easy targets for insurgents when they begin their final withdrawal this summer and head for the border along a 160-mile stretch of road cutting through the desert into Kuwait.

I thought the war was over? Don’t you remember the tramatic NBC footage of the last “combat troops” leaving Iraq a year ago. A fulfilled Obama campaign promise? What are these 46k troops you speak of? How many contractors are still there in addition to that?

How dare they make the President out to be a liar! There aren’t any troops there!

1) Operation stupid: It amuses me to watch all the folks who’s laws are being violated by this try to explain how the law is not really being violated. We’re not really involved. The French and British are only protecting civilians, not targetting Mo. Everything is in compliance with the UN resolution. The boots on the ground are only trainers.

2) We won?!? Really?!? And I missed it. Last I looked, we had a Shite government aligned with Iran, a large majority of Iraqi’s protesting against us, and Sadr’s party holding more seats than any other. And we’re nearly broke.

3) I vote we rename the Senate “The Cheetah Club” and hire pole dancers for pages. It’ll be patriotic, we’ll dress ‘em in red, white & blue bikini’s with strategicilly placed stars.

4) Give the Bush tax cuts more time. After all, Obama has and will again. He’s just waiting until he can get the least value for signing the next extension.

5) Well, at least gays are no longer the most hated American’s. That honor now goes to the millions of American Moslems.

The Republican-owned Media, including Yahoo is attacking Weiner. HuffPo is following suit. Dems do not rally. Long knives come out quick.

They did not attack Vitter, Ensign and Craig.

The Headlines for Weiner are destructive, sharp and pointy like his dinky.

The Headlines for Vitter were obscure and confusing. Like a load of shit in a diaper.

Same for Ensign.

Same for Larry Craig.

As far as Afghanistan goes…a little birdy, who just returned from Iraq (working as a contractor flying drones)..told me he quit his job because they are ramping up Afghanistan and wanted to move him there..I asked him if he thought they might be building up to go into Pakistan, and he looked straight ahead and said, “It wouldn’t surprise me”.

I am shocked by Weiner’s actions and to be honest, I believe he is a lost cause. I don’t think we need to jump on it and beat a dead horse, but let’s face it, he has lost any and all credibility. What sort of fool believes he can do such a thing in this day and age and not get caught? I guess better he get caught doing this crap now than when he is NY Mayor and/or one day wanting to run for President.

He’s done, he needs to go find some university, think tank or lobbyist group to retire to.

I dunno. I think before he was elected, he wanted nothing more than to get out of those wars. Once he realized how many jobs, and how many potential political contributors depended on those wars he became more interested. Also, he’s afraid to fight with the Big Bad GOP.

So the war is ObamaLLP’s jobs program. And it’s what is going to get him to the first $1B re-election fund.

But I don’t think it’s what he originally planned.

Yes it was a very stupid thing to do. Interesting the way the Media and each party manages damage control and manipulates public opinion.

Republicans, enabled by the Media they own, would have handily put out this fire.

Examples: Vitter, Ensign, Craig.

Sure Craig left, but after how long? Ensign got to lollygag til he was good and ready.

And Diaper Dave Vitter? That was Cheney’s favorite madam, too, that they killed.

I think Weiner will be going down in days, perhaps hours.

Re: . . .if we won. . .

“. . .The value of the contracts — along with their limitations — is evident in roads neighboring the highway, where attacks are up.

That has prompted commanders to begin to expand the program to include neighboring roads as well.

And local sheiks across southern Iraq are more than eager for the cash, jockeying for a chance to collect what may the last bit of military largess. . .”

——————————-

Go figure. The effect of these contract dollars is to place a premium on the unfriendlies’ installing more EODs along highways so the US will pay more to clean up the “trash” and expand the effort elsewhere. Economics 101, no?

So my two nephews are spending the week here this week. One is 17 (18 in two months) and the other is 14.

I’m driving them to school this morning, NPR on the radio, where Afghanistan is the topic. So we discuss Afghan, withdrawal, war, and eventually Iraq.

I bring up the topic of the collateral murder videos.

Neither the 17 nor the 14 year old had a clue what I was talking about.

Neither had heard of the name Bradley Manning.

What. A. Great. Country.

It’s not about me giving up. This country has given up.

Yes, but the advantage of being on the “HOLIER-THAN-THOU” side is that you don’t have to live up to your supposed superior virtue and self-righteously piety. For the base, it’s far more important that you point your finger at the other side and demand that its members match to your superior virtue and self-righteously piety.

Also, Republican leaders know how to protect their brand. The Democratic Party’s base, on the other hand, needs to be reminded from time to time that they lack morals, which is accomplished by regularly shaming a Democrat in Congress or the White House for playing around. At best, Democratic Party leaders are stupid for letting it happen again and again.

BAD Politics

“Good policy leads to good politics”. That sounds erudite Mr. President, but it is hopelessly naive. One, of course, does not exist without the other. If Democrats do not get the politics right soon, they can kiss their policies good bye.

Weiner was forced to do a 180 degree turn yesterday.

He let Breitbart make a statement demanding an apology first, then went out and apologized to Breitbart.

I’d say that the xxx pics of Weiner exist and that they will be held over his head from now on.

Because the Democratic Party can’t or won’t fight Breitbart and because Weiner is clearly going to fold every time these pics come up, it’s time for Weiner to go.

Anthony Weiner is Jewish, so I am *assuming* that he’s not part of Doug Coe’s “Family/Fellowship,” which includes John Ensign & David Vitter in its membership, along with other “stars” like Bart Stupak, Hilary Clinton, James Inofe, Chip Pickering, etc, of C Street Fame.

Bc Weiner is not a member of that “club,” Weiner has to obey “small people” rules and be bashed and trashed and get fired for his sexual peccadillos, as opposed to the Ensign’s & Craig’s of this planet.

IOKIYAR *always* rule.

I could give a sh*t if Weiner is displaying his tackle all over the d*mn place. Who the frack cares??? Is this really important??

What I find eminantly *regretable* to say the least is that Weiner felt compelled to LIE about it, doing a stupid dance in front of the media, the nation, his wife & kids, and then put in himself in the position of genuflecting to & kissing the ring of the lowest of scumbags, Breitbart.

For the *sin* of corrupting himself to the likes of sleazy liar Breitbart, I feel that Weiner should slink off the stage. I don’t care about Weiner’s weiner… I care about how he *debased* himself afterwards. What a *tool.* pun intended; deal with it.
