Video-prospector Suzanne scores again!
hey newton — thanks :) i was quite happy when i found it on utube. how was your day today?
Good evening Suzanne, and all!
in case you missed it, we had a bang up pun-fest in the Book Salon earlier today – just like old times!
hey ce — how ya doing tonight?
Great, played kitchen-wonk today. How’s your thing?
Hey Chris!
Hi Suz & Gang. Yep, punaise hosted a fine Book Salon…lots of laughs.
I played The Grinch in my high school 1970 Christmas variety show. Riff- raff students in the afternoon assembly audience threw dimes & nickles at me and onto the stage. Cindy Lou Who broke out in tears. I broke character to gather the change up.
Hey, money’s money….
Really great. More rain right now, after a beautiful sunny day. The plants love it! After an intense work week, I am so happy to be here tonight.
I just finished reading your host today.
Epic fun, including mind-bending work from Eli, a great afternoon’s fun. Thank you, pun.
hey dearie — that was a rollicking book salon!!! its a great book and i highly recommend it. how was your day?
Hey newt! Wonderful to see you. How’s summer in your backyard?
a mixed bag — some sun, some showers. going to be another chilly night
hey robert — how’s soPA tonight?
i love how a garden looks after a rain — everything so clean and shiny and spider webs outlined by tiny droplets…
Oh, you are too much!
SoPa was warm but overcast. Summer sun and temps at least the next four days….
oh crap pun — i didn’t see ya come in dagrabbit.. dood that was the best!!!
*standing on chair clapping wildly*
how ya doing tonight?
hey Chris!
I did a dead-head on the pansies, they are still hanging in there. and the hosta plants look wonderful. Oh, summer.
Our spring-summer transition is always a weird thing. A couple of days ago, on a single day, we had rain, clear sunshine skies, sweater-wearing cold and air conditioning heat, all before 3pm.
We punt :-)
hey Suz, just closing down shop for the evening. glad you caught some of the salon – it was rollicking good fun.
hey margot — how ya doing tonight?
Not quite summer down in my area yet. Nice day until the wind kicked up. Blowing sand is the worst~
Eli was in the zone today.
it was a blast dood — and you the perfect host :) it was great seeing all the puns flying back and forth
Hey Margot!
Looks like more storms coming from you to me…we did just have a huge rain.
hell, it doesn’t even feel like spring up here yet… the weather dood called it inappropriate weather last night when reporting on the snowfall in the mts on the kickoff to ‘summer’
I’m watching a doc about Area 51 on the History Channel. Saw the end when it first ran earlier. They actually have pics and film of the real wreckage taken at the time….
Hi everyone.
RC is back on house arrest, wound about dime sized on Thursday.
I exchanged emails with the author after, and he thoroughly enjoyed it too.
The pun never stopped!
I was talking with my Montana daughter this week when she looked out the window and said, “It’s snowing again!” I guess I can live with a bit of blowing sand.
Oh same here — for crying out loud. I have a down winter coat hanging in the back hall, planters filled with impatiens (pink), unbrellas all over the house and car. What the heck season are we?
hey wmd — poor rc…where is this one located?
excellent — a win win all the way around (and a boatload of fun)
hey bg — how was lm’s birthday?
I prefer to call it ‘Inhoffia’, in honor of the climate-change denying, know-nothing, industry-flack, Gooper Senator from Oklahoma.
You heard it here first.
my mom used to bitch about the blowing sand when they were in the palm dessert area.. now she complains about it in the phoenix area. blowing sand is worse than rain falling sideways — sand gets into everything
Dang… How did my Aloha’s to Suz, end up in the high 30′s…? ;-)
same general area, behind ribs on his left side.
Perfect.
Ya’ll rawked, Pun…! *g*
aloha tut — how’s paradise tonight?
Eighty-nine is divine, doncha know? I think it was a good birthday, though the confusion was in high dungeon.
must be his vulnerable spot when catting around
89 is a reason to celebrate!
Kicking, M’dear…! How’s your little Inlet tonite…? ;-)
Very quiet here now… and very late. Watching the movie, Dan in Real Life.
bands of showers have died back for the night. should be nice tomorrow but the clouds return tomorrow night and looks like more rain next week.
Groan…! *g*
I heard some crazy wind a bit ago, always disconcerting at night.
Rained a bit here, and kinda watching something with Jim Carey. No idea what it is.
I’ve always loved puns. Thanks to FDL and some finely twisted minds, I no longer feel embarrassed!
*heh* The most twisted of Brains too, eh…? ;-)
Are you ready for more funnies? “Ode To The People Of Walmart” (hat tip Autumn Sandeen)
my first ex husband loves a good pun — and has been known to lay many a bad one over the years. i’m gonna send him my copy of the pun also rises.
Good night Suzanne and FDL friends. Storms over and time to sleep.
hey mzchief — how’s pdx tonight?
g’nite ce
nite Chris
Pleasant dreams, CE…! *g*
storms always sound worse at night
nite chris
sleep well
Weather turned nice and I got to enjoy it. Missed the pun-off though. :-(
Sorry I missed that, Suz. I’m getting verry sleepy but wanted to hang out here for a bit. Really enjoyed the puns today.
Helloooooo, Margot
tis still a fine read, even if its no longer live :)
you are getting very sleepy
I’m tired too, catch you all on the B-side.
Thanks for being a great host, granny!
What a great song…
g’nite bg
hello
And while spelunking the youtoobz, I ran across something fun and weird.
I always knew these guys were George Harrison’s plaything, but the more I listen to them, the more I hear Sir George within.
Rare live Badfinger
ok i’m gonna bookmark that, that really works.
for your wake up
Nice to spend some time at LLN with Suz & The Gang. I’m off to dreamland.
g’nite dearie
dreamland
getting lost in the YouTubes.
Eric Satie
oh that’s sweet margot…
dream
In high school, we did a very disturbing play in our small theater – I cannot recall the name of the play – and we used this Satie piece as the running theme throughout.
Was it Spoon River?
lullabye
The Lottery?
It was not.
No. We wanted to do Equus, but the district forbade it. We did this instead, and it was actually more disturbing, IMO.
So I suppose some horses are in order.
i remember the dress code wars from highschool — trying to get the girls can’t wear pants ban lifted
I must have missed that, as me and my friends were busy wrecking pep rallys with surgical tubing, 3 gallon buckets, and melons of varying sizes.
hahahaha like this?
*heh* I’ve always been a fan of the skirts, but, tight-ass jeans always looked great too…! ;-)
Like that, yes, but without the hissy-fit.
I remember my 9th grade civics teacher arranged his classrooms so all the front seats were assigned to girls. He’d sit behind his desk and lean sharply back in his chair during exams and he clearly was looking up their short skirts….
So no wonder the male-dominated teachers didn’t want pants approved….
i was not a fan of red and blue mottled legs freezing from the cold in winter….
That would be a complete bummer in regards to any sexual allure…! However, I’d make do tho…! ;-)
i wish i could find the rest of that scene on utube… the kids pay back the entire neighborhood from the garage roof….
We differed in that we were mobile, not tied to a fixed position.
When lobbing melons, best to stick and move, stick and move…
100…! Dayam I’m good…! ;-)
ya snagged the lucky happy 100 again tut!!!
from what i remember, they were hitting several streets over… i always enjoyed the ingenuity and creative ways those boys thought and was really glad that i wasn’t their mom
Who luvs ya, Babe…? ;-)
you have hit it so often lately that you may have to retire from competition…. its harder to NOT hit it than to hit it yanno
…its harder to NOT hit it than to hit it yanno…
*heh* Especially when one is hosting it, eh…? ;-)
youbetcha dood.. lard love a duck, its forking hard :)
tis about time for me to turn back into a pumpkin folks. thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight.
tut, am looking forward to your selections for this memorial day weekend dood
g’nite all
bailing out suz. thanks for the evening.

Sweet Dreams, Suz…! I’ll try not to disappoint ya…! *g*
Aloha, newt…!
