The Republicans are not a political party but rather a criminal cabal.
Morning, BT — twice.
Ryan: “What vouchers?”
Other than Paul Ryan is nothing more than a common fucking punk, I got nothing this morning.
Thanks for the post BT.
Good monring all.
(I did notice Margaret in the Attaturk thread this morning. Hope she is doing well in her new job)

BEST (or worst) Government money can buy
Mornin’, BT, pups
In other news, Netanyahu, Hamas and the Threat of War
Not into addressing the moronics of the Regressive Party this mornin’.
Since so many folks seem to recognize that little fact, what are the creative opposing steps? Wisc. looks good; what’s next? W is already making millions from speech making….Im sure there must be a larger audience of smart people….
Good morning firepups.
I prefer the term “couponcare” as the moniker for Ryan’s privatation scheme.
Now that spineless Harry Reid made the Rethug Senators walk the plank last PM, how long do you think it will take for Obummer and the Vichycrats to make the Grand Bargain and screw the middle class as usual?
Something HAS to be done about the deficit. And it’s ALL about Medicare. Where’s Waldo?
Bill Clinton’s Private Words to Paul Ryan Caught on Tape
Fire it up
105 Share The day after the stunning upset in the special congressional election in upstate New York, Rep. Paul Ryan is a man under fire.
But ABC News was behind the scenes with the Wisconsin Congressman and GOP Budget Committee Chairman when he got some words of encouragement none other than former President Bill Clinton.
“So anyway, I told them before you got here, I said I’m glad we won this race in New York,” Clinton told Ryan, when the two met backstage at a forum on the national debt held by the Pete Peterson Foundation. But he added, “I hope Democrats don’t use this as an excuse to do nothing.”
Ryan told Clinton he fears that now nothing will get done in Washington.
“My guess is it’s going to sink into paralysis is what’s going to happen. And you know the math. It’s just, I mean, we knew we were putting ourselves out there. You gotta start this. You gotta get out there. You gotta get this thing moving,” Ryan said.
Clinton told Ryan that if he ever wanted to talk about it, he should “give me a call.” Ryan said he would.
Ok, no talk about the Ds this morning. :-)
It was quite a lively discussion on FDL yesterday whenever DLCer former president opens his stupid trap.
I wish he would just STFU or go build houses for poor people or something.
OK I agree with Southern Dragon and will STFU myself!
thanks wasnt around yesterday…Bills one of them
Stick his pecker in a fan. (Oops, sorry for that breakdown in decorum.)
Vichycrats are no better but right now they’re not out there making utter fools of themselves. They may not be doing anything but that’s better that what we’re getting from the Regressives.
million woman march on dee cee,to change corupt crooked government
I keep forgetting–no one hates Democrats more than progressives do.
(Then we can’t figure out why the Democrats don’t welcome us into the party with open arms.)
i guess Pete peterson has to shell out minimum wage for plogan

I don’t hate anybody. Unproductive and takes too much energy.
Ain’t that the truth? Does nothing…..
Have a great day all.
Maybe you should write it down somewhere.
Want to know the reason for the high price of food? read: How Goldman Sachs Created the Food Crisis
Food is becoming more expensive around the world. In fact, world food prices rose to near a record high this April as grain costs continued to increase. The cost of living in the U.S. has been rising at its fastest pace since December 2009, and Chinese consumer prices have been going up at their fastest rate since 2008.
One reason for the rise in food prices is Wall Street greed. In 1991, bankers at Goldman Sachs came up with a new kind of investment product, a derivative that tracked 24 raw materials, including food products, as part of a single mathematical formula they called the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (GSCI).
The problem came in 1999, when the Commodities Futures Trading Commission deregulated futures markets, and bankers could take as large a position in grains as they liked — something which had been forbidden to all but those actually involved in food production since the Great Depression.
Morning BT & Firepups:
Eric Cantor is still in the running for Sleazy Creep Vibe Master of the Universe.
Sorta makes you want to get into some heavy delousing, don’t it?
One thing’s for sure, at least we know Onama will NEVER be as bad as a Republican! He’s got my vote, that’s for sure. “Yes, we can!”
this government makes me want to save all my pennies and leave
Lloyd Blankfein needs to be shown the door. To ADX Florence. For about 20 to life…
Spread the word….that seems unbelievable. But grocery costs are outta sight.
triangulation..see everybodies friend Bill Clinton
sausage, salmon, other stuff i buy for my neighbor has doubled this year, needless to say he gets less…40,000,000 Merkins on food stamps?
Big Dog rubs elbows with the Principal Economic Wingnut. Neoliberal fucktard…
Suck it, Bill…
Bills heart surgery…Did he get Darths old heart?
The latest food stamp data for January of 2010 shows that 39,430,724 Americans are receiving food stamps or are part of the supplemental nutritional assistance program (SNAP). If you make the acronym and name long enough and with a neutral undertone average Americans won’t fret that 40 million of their fellow neighbors are one government debit card away from being unable to eat. Yet this is the new corporate funded recovery and somehow things don’t seem to be improving for the middle class and definitely not for those at the lower rung of the socio-economic ladder. In fact, we may have more than 40 million on food assistance today. Since the start of the recession in December of 2007, we’ve added on average 474,000 people each month to SNAP. Since the data lags a bit and we only have January 2010 data, it is likely we now have between 40 million and 41 million Americans on food assistance.
Off to swim in the great capitalist cesspool.
US KIA Afghanistan: 1,586
US KIA Irak: 4,454
Iraki, Afghan and Pakistani casualties: estimates vary to over 1.5M

Be good to yourselves, and all other living things
No war but class war
Never. Give. Up.
There’s never ANY talk about taxing the filthy rich. Or cutting defense. Or ending these imperial wars. Not a peep. It’s always about siphoning the last pennies from us, the 99%.
BTW, Slick Willie Clinton is a useless tool. He’s just as disingenuous as Eddie Munster. They deserve each other. And Barry Oilbummer…what can you say about that moron?…dude doesn’t have a clue about what it means to get by in the US capitalist hellhole.
Has Ryan ever even attempted to legitimately rebut any of the accusations against VoucherCare? All I’ve heard so far is “bah liberal lies”.
It’s full-on class warfare. Each month, it seems to get worse. The Obots are happy with their king. And the Repugs are in bed with the Dims. I’d love to leave this miserable place, but where do you go? The neoliberal model has swept the world. Capitalism must–I mean, must!–be destroyed or we are destined for a life of indentured servitude and environmental disaster. Liberalism is a poor tonic for what these sick fucks have in mind for us slave laborers. Wake up folks!
Always such great comments.
Does anyone know/remember a novel written in the 80′s(?)concerning the downfall of the U.S. federal gov’t & the subsequent rise of state “power”
wherein some states felt the need to build walls & declare war on neighboring states, travellers needed id’s for interstate travel,Canada & Mexico declared war on us? It was written by a lawyer to illustrate the ramifications of the newest governmenental policies.
I never read the book, only a review but it’s been on my mind for years now and I can’t figure out how to locate it. Any help/suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, Sharon Brown
