But, but, but. I read this article in the Los Angeles Times about a nearly empty county facility.
While camping this past weekend, I actually read the newspaper. Ha.
Idiots, part deux: Lecturing Americans To ‘Reread’ Constitution, Herman Cain Confuses It
With Declaration of Independence
Our Black person is darker than your Black person just sounds so 3rd grade to me.
Liberals voted for Obama to prove they aren’t racist…perhaps they will vote for Cain to prove they aren’t stupid
I don’t think I agree with the first part of your comment. Seems like an over generalization. You’d have to read the hearts of the voters to say that.
Mornin’, BT, pups
So AIPAC doesn’t want the US to be “even-handed” in regards to Israel/Palestine.
AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr said, ““Part of being an honest broker is being honest.” Here’s a newsflash for ya, Kohr: the US long ago forfeited any claim to the label “honest broker” between Israel and Palestine, or anywhere else for that matter.
Please don’t feed.
Oops. Wasn’t my intention. I can’t keep track of Everything, you know. *g*
1) Msg to NATO: Saddam would have gone away if we’d let him keep about $2B or so he already stolen. We didn’t know it at the time, but that was a real bargain. You might make Mo a more generous offer.
2)Msg to GOPers: If you want to lock everybody who isn’t enough like you, you’ll need to pay taxes to support it. So what’s it gonna be in your pocket, hate or money?
3) Msg to World: When congress is ready to cut off Israel’s allowence, we’ll let you know. Until then, you’re wasting your time on “peace”.
4) Msg to closet racists: “some of my best friends are balck” doesn’t work anymore. if it every did. And in any case, Clarence Thomas doesn’t count.
5) Msg to focus on Family: “ha HA” – Nelson.
Boxturtle (Msg to FDL: Good morning!)
Tonight on PBS, 9pm: FRONTLINE: WikiSecrets
Among others, Manning’s father will be interviewed. From what I just saw on MSNBC, it doesn’t look like Manning will be depicted in the best light.
I say we cut off everyone’s allowance. Then, start over.
Time to change the symbol of the nation from that of the eagle to that of the self-made and noble hobo carrying his bundle on the end of a stick.
I know that FDL doesn’t control the ads that we see here, but you’d think the advertiser’s would match ads with the readers. Got a swimsuit ad on my ‘puter right now. Free Shipping on $75. Hmmmmmm.
When we were camping, there was a fire in the riverbed above the campground. I asked the camp host what could be burning and he told me probably the homeless camp. He said that’s what burned last time. Heartbreaking.
Good morning BT and pups,
I can’t wait to see the results of NY-26 special election tonight.
The Dem is up 6 pts. in PPP polling as of yesterday in a very red district.
Paul Ryan’s “CouponCare” is the centerpiece of the arguement.
Disclaimer, I read the CouponCare meme somewhere yesterday and really liked it and hope it catches on with the seniors like me.
Glad the Repugs have a viable candidate…
Morning BT & Firedogs…
Let’s boil up some frogs for breakfast…
demi, that is so sad. We are going back to the 1930′s real fast. Your account is probably more common than we know right now of what is happening across the nation.
I’m just glad the special election isn’t in CA. I’d hafta wait until tomorrow morning for the results. Hopefully Hochul will be the second Dem to win a red seat and hopefully is more Democratic than the Democratic Party. Jacksonville, FL elected a Dem as mayor a few weeks ago in a really red city. Come on, Regressoves. keep shootin’ yerselves in the foot.
We can count on it being played down or with a lot of spin by the MSM SD.
I’ve come to know some of the homeless who come to the foodbank, and when I don’t see them for a few weeks, I get so concerned. It’s got to be so scary living on the street.
Looks like The Mouth in Chief is starting to auger in. About damn time…
… and hopefully is more Democratic than the Democratic Party
You are an angel! Your caring attitude comes right through the pixels.
I worked at the food bank in the city I lived in before moving and the sights are so sad, but there is still a lot of dignity in the folks as they go through the line with their boxes.
I need to get back to doing that now that school is out and I am not subbing in the summertime.
I don’t have a link, but hasn’t he said some even more over the top craziness recently? Might be the reason for the decline.
Zippo. Zilch. Nada.
Some of the folks are dignified. Some are just cranky and mean, which is understandable. I get a lot of folks saying gimmee this and gimmee that. And some say thank you. What really gets me is when someone can’t get off their cell phone when they get to the front of the line. That’s really something.
They’re all dying off. The majority of their listeners wear Depends.
“The times they are a’changing.”
My experience was different, never a “gimme this or that…”
When I go back to doing this, I will watch for what you are experiencing.
It could be a cultural difference. Most of the clients where I work speak Spanish. So, maybe it’s not attitude, but language skills. Although, there are still some fairly rude people. Oh, well.
Off to swim in the great capitalist cesspool.
US KIA Afghanistan: 1,582
US KIA Irak: 4,454
Iraki, Afghan and Pakistani casualties: estimates vary to over 1.5M

It’s a Long way to the top…
Be good to yourselves, and all other living things
No war but class war
Never. Give. Up.
The first part is a major part of the explanation for the primary win – indeed Obama pulled off the double trick of being a racist – telling blacks to vote for him because he was black – while telling the media that Hillary was a racist for noticing what he was doing (Bill Clinton caved and said he understood that it was just group pride – but Clinton did not cave fast enough and on black radio they still talk about Clinton racist remarks in the SC primary), while still selling the public and the media on ignoring skin color and voting for his progressive liberal promises so as to prove we were beyond racism. It was a great election.
The second part however does not follow – Cain’s worse than the average CEO – and in my world that is saying a lot about why we should not vote for him.
