“I know I had them soaking in their glass, Martha,” George pleaded with his wife, embarrassed by the swoosh of air from his mouth every time he spoke ‘s’ words, and by the way his tongue slipped over his upper lip whenever he needed to pronounce ‘th’ (as in ‘Martha’).
“Well, Dear, they couldn’t have just walked away,” Martha chided, “nor the glass of water you put them in.” She tried not to laugh at her husband’s forlorn expression, but could not suppress smiling.
Washington both admired and envied Martha’s beautiful and natural teeth. Few women her age still had their own to display, usually covering their smiles with fingertips rather than expose such a dreadful passing away of their attraction.
“Maybe Billy Lee moved them for some reason,” Martha suggested. She left the room to find her husband’s manservant.
George stooped to open the doors of the vanity, and then squatted to search among the short linens and soaps. Frustrated, he slapped the doors shut, but when he again stood, there on the marble surround of the washbasin was the glass of water containing his teeth—right under his nose. He heard a man laughing behind and pivoted to confront whom he expected to be Bobby Lee; yet, beyond himself, the only other presence was a, perhaps, three inches in diameter circle of white light: either an apparition or a reflection of sunlight off the mirror.
Laughing, Sylvester Martin withdrew the robotic arm from the narrow porthole and switched the power off to his miniature cyclotron. He had just punked the mythical and mystical first President of the United States, and the flash drive and video camera in the arm had recorded the whole thing. While Martin could see into the past with his invention, nothing in a past time could see nor hear anything invading from the future, only the light emitted between breached time. The only complication had been securing from the Pentagon exclusive top secret access to the master bedroom of Mount Vernon to set up his experiment of isolating a single string/wave, embedded like a groove in a vinyl record in the stale air, and open a portal to the past.

​Jeremy Giefer served time in jail in 1994 for having sex with a 14-year-old girl. But you wouldn’t know it to look at the record of the man now charged with sexually molesting his daughter more than 250 times over the last eight years.

That’s because two years ago, Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Attorney General Lori Swanson, and then-Chief Justice Eric Magnuson unanimously voted to wipe Giefer’s record clean, granting him a pardon extraordinary.

Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty formally announced his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination Monday morning. By midday, his past was catching up with him.

Reporting by Minneapolis City Pages’ Nick Pinto brought to attention a pardon then-Gov. Pawlenty granted to a sex offender in October 2008, a pardon that is certain to haunt Pawlenty throughout his campaign. Turns out the man Pawlenty pardoned was later arrested again for molesting his daughter more than 250 times in an eight-year span, including six years prior to his pardon.

Jeremy Giefer served 45 days in prison in 1994 after being convicted of statutory rape. However, because he married the then-14-year-old girl and stuck around to father the child they conceived together, he begged the state for an extraordinary pardon, which would no longer require Giefer to report himself as a sex offender.

The guy marries the underage girl he raped gets a pardon from Tim them several years later gets convicted of raping his daughter. The pardon system works on bribes or do you bribe local Politicians who recommend you get pardoned?

Giefer’s application features several other statements of support, including letters from a local judge, a retired criminal investigator, and family friends. Patrick McDermott, the Blue Earth County Attorney at the time, emailed the board to say he had no objection to Giefer’s request.

Yes they need to back someone and Karl is their boy who ever his shadow group spends money on is the Bush family choice.
We all thought Mitt was their choice but Tim got the GOP Presidential convention moved to his state because Karl thought it would help turn his state GOP.
Mitt is still the leader in the polls but he is boring. Tim is if anything even more boring plus this news sinks him lower than Newt.
Does anyone have any idea who would be the Bush family’s third choice? The Bush’s won’t back a loser they will only back someone who they think can beat Obama and of course will represent their business interests.

A guy who lost us two wars over ten years wants to run? I presume because he thinks he is better than the entire GOP field?
Well he might be but the wars are very unpopular being the pro war candidate this election might be the only way the GOP could lose bigger than if they ran with Sarah.
Still though the GOp field is that weak he could win the GOP Primary.

In spite of the 9 percent unemployment and high gas price, Obama looks indestructable when compared to all these Rethugs who come off like vampires pounding their own stakes into their hearts. And Ryan and Bohner look like the Lugosi twins….

In his latest speech, Obama’s thinly veiled rhetoric proves he will do anything to satisfy his pro-Israel voter base.

This guy is clearly loathsome, but I’m kinda surprised consensual sex between a 19 year old young man and a 14 yr old girl (whom he later married), automatically resulted in his being imprisoned and permanently designated a sex offender.

Hey Folks. I’m in the great state of Nebraska. I’ve come to a couple of conclusions based on talking to people and observations. I don’t think that the DC people are talking about jobs because they just don’t see the problem. Their is still too much wealthy that they see. They will only accept that there is a problem if they see food lines, and people 3/4 of their own families getting laid off and coming to them. 1/2 or 1/4 laid off they will blame then for being lazy. All the people THEY come into contact with are doing fine. Lobbyists, staff and hangers on all are making out just fine.

Also, since people looking for work aren’t following lawmakers around every day they just don’t SEE them. What they do see are Pete Peterson lobbyists and others telling them to cut spending. Unemployed sending 299 resume’s out digitally looks like spam to lawmakers, not people in pain.
