And if I recall correctly, Card is the one who was responsible for ordering the codpiece.
In other breaking news this morning, Dick Cheney accused Joe Biden of politicizing intelligence, while Karl Rove blasted Democrats for being too mean and partisan.

So Card would like it better if Obama played dress up and showed up on a flight deck…..After all, he’s an ad guy. And the flight deck turned out to be so smart and successful.
Good morning, Firepups! There sure is a lot of hypocrisy floating around, isn’t there? All of the Bushies coming out to bash.
I agree with Card. But in Obama’s defense, he wasn’t alone in his chest pounding and he wasn’t nearly the worst.
Boxturtle (Msg for Karl & Dick: Kettle. Pot. Black.)
That’s kind of funny. I won’t ever be able to get the image of Bush in his fly boy suit, standing on the boat under a sign saying “mission accomplished”. No chest pounding over a lie, there! HA. Oh and what about all the cards with bad guys on them, and how they would parade around because they caught the “queen of hearts”. HILARIOUS.
I hope the irony is not lost on those who heard him. I am refraining from comment on the how Obama has handled this. But, the criticism is more than ironic coming from one of the most narcissistic and sociopathic leaders of all times.
My oh my.
Another warmonger Bushie, Catfoodie, is Alan Simpson. Multimillionaire Simpson gets his government pensions, as he loots Social Security for Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.
But FDL gets cited at HuffPo. Even Simpson knows he himself is a Catfoodie.
Simpson is also flaming those mushy moderates at AARP. Simpson is clearly suffering from dementia and getting more mentally ill as time passes. But he does get his government taxpayer financed health care, as he slides into senility.
Digby has a great post on that here.
Looks as if he is quite pleased that “he got his”. Certainly didn’t help his manners or empathy….Bet he has taken every cent of his SocSec and very generous gov’t pension….O yeah, that’s different.
Mornin’, BT, pups
Must be a prez election year comin’. The has-been reichwingnuts are comin’ out of the woodwork. Andy Card? What a joke. Fuck him, and all the other Shrub ass kissers.
Yeah, but who’re they going to support, since all their candidates “suck more.” *g*
Thanks…that’s a good one.
I’m waitin’ to see who comes out in support of Newt. FauxNews will be creamin’ their jeans when he announces tomorrow. Talk about a scumbag piece o’ shit.
Quick! Gut Social Security and Medicare! That money could be put to far better use in Operation Invade Libya.
Newtie is fundraising but that doesn’t make what you say untrue.
Whatever happened to The Donald? Has he already flashed out?
Having his hair done? ;)
Maybe he’s reached his publicity seeking goal…
From what I’ve read he intends to announce tomorrow. We’ll see. Have to take everything the corporate media sez with a ton of salt.
Than was kinda my initial reaction as well, “wasn’t he going to spend some more time with some ones family?”
Good morning all.
Thanks for the chuckle this morning, BT. Andy Card. Fuck him.
Geez, I hope so.
Oh dearie me. Speaking of Rs, Schwarzenneger & Shriver split. Is anyone surprised?
Maybe Card would feel better about this?
Yeah I read that too. I still believe he’s just findraising. He polls in the single digits.
Just one R there, and not the smart one.
Does anyone care?
Prolly huddling with his lawyers to determine how to restructure and/or BK again. “…A financially embattled thousandaire…”
I thought it was an appropriate addition to a BT thread. *g*
Wow. certainly a smarter and better looking guy. Bet W is very jealous.
His poll numbers won’t affect his ego, for which he needs a dump truck to haul around.
I guess she feels the same way about him as I do after parading his wingnuttiness around for several years. Can’t stand to look at him anymore than I can stomach Gibson.
Message to Card, et al:
Jealousy gets you nowhere.
I reckon. Anybody who blames his sense of patriotism for his marital infidelities has got an enormous ego and chutzpa to match.
Can’t argue with that.
I never thought it would be smart to be married to Teh Ahnold.
Sorry, what the Republicans say are irrelevant. They aren’t in charge, Obama is. When I go into that booth next Fall, I am going to reflect on the trillions that were spent in the name of the pursuit of OBL and judge negatively all those who year after year spent the life blood of this country in a barbaric vengeful display.
9/11 was a horrible tragedy, but countries don’t go to war against criminals. Law enforcement pursues criminals and brings them to justice. Only 3rd world countries (like ours have become) act in a lawless manner like we did a little over a week ago.
All I hear now is “look how bad the Republicans are for casting stones at Obama”.. I don’t care. I care what Obama has done. I see him grandstanding for over a week now about the outright murder of a very guilty man. Yes, he’s truly worth casting my vote for.
We are right back in the paradigm of the lesser of two evils. Why can’t we just focus on holding those that are in charge accountable as opposed to getting into the pointless discussion of talking about what “the other side” is saying about our DINO president.
So Newtie is throwing his asshat in the right, huh?
The GOP field is a regular comedy cavalcade…
He was just lookin’ for a woman who didn’t call him “Needle Dick the Bug Fucker.”
This.

Stewart’s opening riff last night was on the first R debate.
Mainly on Paul.
I was too tired to pick up on most of it, but apparently it was a doozy.
Another “man of god”. Yeah, right. When did the whole biblical injunction about lying get repealed?
And why is it that these people always claim to be some kind of special forces?
The Court has convened to rule on the Royals…
You are not clear about who you think started spending all those trillions. W was the homeland security and Patriot Act guy who started limiting our civil rights and made the who pursuit a national, not a criminal, endeavor. I do not quite follow your line of thought.
Who’s the bimbo in the wings? Schwarzenneger is ready for Wife 2.0.
Here ya go…
We used to get a lot of them at the VA. Didn’t take long to unravel their tales. Usually low self esteem, trying to impress others, wanting to be looked up to.
It was never clear to me why anyone, including MS, would want him…an arrogant ape, seems to me.
Which is why no fewer than six ex Bushies were on the Sunday shows this week. Sorry wirerat, while I agree with most of what you said, that first line is ridiculous. What they have to say may not be relevant to you, (nor is it very relevant to me), but it is demonstrably very relevant to a whole lot of people in the establishment media and that’s what this post is about.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, wasn’t it Andrew Card who told Bush to keep reading “My Pet Goat” to the kids so as not to upset them?
Perhaps Mr. Card should refrain from commenting about the current President’s anti-terrorism efforts.
I don’t get what’s wrong with telling people whatever it was he did in the service. Maybe it is low self esteem but my own self esteem isn’t especially high and I’ve never tried to claim I was anything but an airframe mechanic.
To show that they are manly manly macho men. That way, it gives them an alpha dog effect rather than just being a mere mortal type veteran.
How about “is” irrelevant? Small edit, if you don’t mind;)
Heh.
Why is the knee jerk reaction always that it’s the guy who’s playing around. (Rhetorical Q)
Exactly my feelings. Focus on what the goon in the white house now is doing. Articles like this are a waste of time.
I kinda sorta remember that.
And who was responsible for telling W he ought to keep flying aimlessly around the country.
Well, at least he didn’t wait a couple hours after everybody had moved on to post his comment.
I thought that was Cheney who liked being in command….not sure.
Hmmmm, mayhaps it’s time to call whine-one-one.
That’s what I remember too, but think Card might have played a role in that too.
Segment on democracynow on WWI.
I gotta say, it sure is a nice break to be listening to long ago troubles instead of current ones for a change.
I was thinking…when you see how much W has been played, almost makes one feel sorry for him. I know, not quite.
Like clockwork: BT posts a thread and somebody knocks the content.
I think what’s important to take away from this is that Tweety — TWEETY — is mocking Andrew Card and his huffing & puffing.
A lot of low info voters are going to be soaking up this mockery.
He could post something about Palin and they’d really lose it.
heh, half of ‘em will be sayin’, “Who’s Andrew Card? Did he work for Bush?”
I can’t resist stepping into that breach.
Bristol boosts Palin family income to $3 million.
He could post about curing cancer and somebody would come along and say “This is a political blog! Stick to politics“.
Pleaseeeee, spare us. Such news.

Yep.
Sheesh!
First thing I see when I get here is Card!
Yep, the repugs are swinging from the vines the past week.
TARrrr Zaaan!
Was that comment inappropriate?
You mentioned Trump earlier. Jack Cafferty apparently thinks it’s over for him too.
Thank all that is good in this world! The last thing we need now is an ego so big it is crawling outside the body impersonating hair.
Scarecrow’s up.
Trump is definitely a joke.
But he could make a comeback by pivoting to the economy — jobs and foreclosures. If I were his adviser, I would tell him that he can’t let it all end where it did — with him as the butt of jokes. There’s still a huge reservoir of ill will toward Obama that he can tap into. The Cafferty piece shows that folks believe he could turn the economy around. (Admittedly, that’s a joke too.) But Obama is at only 37% approval on managing the economy.
So, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Donald return with a vengeance. I would if I were in his position.
Hmmm. I wonder how Card described Bush Jr’s antics with the bullhorn in NYC back in 2001? Bushie boy hadn’t even caught a cold at that point.
Fool.
Hey, Andy…pounding your chest is so much better than having to pound LIES in your ass!
Andy Card comments *negatively* about Obama chest pounding “too much” vis killing ObL?
Jealous, much????
What a load of hypocritical nonsense from a putz like Card.
You mirror some of my own thoughts vis The Donald & Obama. The Donald really isn’t some business genius; he inherited his wealth and figured out how to make money by going into bankruptcy, plus having a lot of wealthy buddies to bail him out (sound familiar? sound a little like W?). These rich bastards are mostly all alike. They like to pretend that they “work so hard” and are all “self-made” men ‘n all. Most of ‘em are not; they only have the money they do bc of the old boys network and scratching each others’ backs.
That said, The Donald has a certain amount of PR savvy & real rat cunning. I was frankly somewhat surprised that The Donald went down the Birfer pathway, as I seriously doubt that The Donald believes that – but it certainly provided him with a media spectacle that The Donald likes.
Time will tell, but The Donald still has the opportunity to make a really well-founded end-run against Obama. Out of the current crop of GOP “hopefuls,” The Donald certainly has the most going for him to be a credible opponent (more’s the pity that it’s come to this, however).
It’s difficult to believe these shameless, scumbag, asshats are even in the conversation. It’s a testament to how pathetic and poisonous our politics have become.
