I guess it doesn’t matter that bin Laden is dead. We’re in a situation where, no matter the facts, the answer is always continued war.

Tempers were sure a flamin’ here yesterday. I hope today is easier for some. I’m glad I get to go to my volunteer gig today. There’s no water cooler stuff there. We just worry about how to feed people.

And, also…that story about the yachts is moving me to share this story. In a time of economic stress, the church that I have attended my whole life has decided they need a $150,000 digital organ. I’ve decided not to attend anymore. :(

I think everyone grieves differently.

I saw grief on those threads, and thus think yesterday was a day where emotions were raw and angry over the wasted decade spent hunting for bin Laden.

I apologize if I offended anyone myself.

Well, Dragon, if that was the only issue, I’d say that’s a good idea. You know that me and the mister have been leading an old testament study, dvd from the great courses. It was 24 sessions and was really good. Lots of cross cultural stuff and etymology and history. Only 3 people attended regularly. There’s other stuff too. Most of the people I have loved there have already died. As the man said, time to kick the dust off my sandals.

Ha. Chris once brought his synthesizer in and added a drum track to do a contemporary song. When it kicked in, the entire choir nearly hit their heads on the ceiling. And, it’s a high ceiling, too.
When it’s time, it’s time. We recently attended All Saints Episcopal in Pasadena. Their theology and commitment to peace and justice is more along our lines of thinking.

At work, we are gearing up for our largest collection day of the year on May 17. Stamp Out Hunger, through the post office. We’ll be at 7 offices in the valley and guess who is going to be supervising volunteers at our warehouse? I’ll prolly be writing a diary about it.

Your moral compass is impeccably well-calibrated, demi, so you’ve never anything, really, to worry about; that you always concern yourself with the propriety of your own actions, as you assuredly do, is ample proof to everyone else.

Go forth … and give ‘em heaven … (which you consistently do, and, not to cross you, but your love rolls before you like a huge wave of compassion, engulfing all …)

Why did you post that a full hour after the last comment? Did you know you’d never have gotten away with it otherwise? I’ve got bad news for you: Neither Bush nor Cheney had anything to do with this. If this is Obama’s economy, then ObL is Obama’s “victory”. You can’t have it both ways, blaming Obama for the bad while crediting somebody who hasn’t been office for over two years when something that you consider good is accomplished. Maybe at Town Hall but not here in Realityland.
