doing well thanks — didn’t even have to start the fire until after 5pm :) the critters are well and my granddaughter is the cutest baby evah

RC went out at about 9:00 AM. Home about 7:00 PM. No new trauma.

mine was very lazy — i didn’t do a lick of housework — just kicked back and enjoyed the sunshine and all the birds flying around. the barn swallows have returned and are working on the nest under the roof peak above the bay side deck.

Incidently, I gave my flip camera it’s first real workout…! I took over 62 pixs, I’m going to pare it down and feature all the beautiful Pa’u riders, and their decorated horses, and, some other highlights and post’em for ya’ll’s enjoyment too…! ;-)

Weeks away from the dry season we need all the wet we can get. With so many chances of mishap.Fire can take out many homes. One of the last big ones was started by a guy with an angle grinder grinding metal.

when i lived in the redwoods in boulder creek, fire was a huge worry each year. wildfires are fucking scary

My maine coon (Merlin) is staring up at me. That means he wants me to come to bed….

He had seemed adjusted to it. when he went out this morning he spent a few minutes rubbing trees, fence posts, etc before he started his rounds. He felt pretty secure that he wasn’t about to be put back on house arrest.

RC wants me to go to bed too.

*sigh* I’m so jealous…! I truly miss having any pet whatsoever where I reside now…! I’m known as Dr. Doolittle, I’ve had most species of pets, ranging from cows to tarantulas, and, they all recognized and loved me…! ;-)

My Sweety used to beg me me to come to bed like that. She used to purr, too….

merlin’s a great name for a cat.. esp a maine coon

i was 11 years in an apt with no pets (and no fireplace). when i bought the cabin (with fireplace), i got bailey cat within a few months — and token a year later. it was a dayam good feeling to not be jonesin for critters again

Our cats could care about me, but when my sweetie comes back from a week working in the villages, they crawl all over her. Almost makes me jealous.

Whenever The Sweety cooks, Merlin perches on the top of the banister in the living room.

We had shake N bake chicken tonight. She filled his plate with morsels; yet he still begged for scraps from our plates like my long deceased collie (Teddy) used to.

Sometimes I think Merlin is Teddy reincarnated….He always seemed to envy (and scarf) the cats’ food. He even tried often to lick himself clean like them….

Got that right. Anyone visiting earth from another planet might ask our cat to take him or her to the leader, rather than ask the same to a person.
