A recall petition against Cowles will be submitted to the Government Accountability Board this Thursday, putting the number of Republican senators facing recall elections at six after signatures were delivered against Alberta Darling on April 21.
So for the Democrats that’s six out of six in their efforts. How are the Republicans doing?
A recall effort targeting two Democratic state senators has fallen short at the deadline.
Organizers had until Monday afternoon to turn in petitions to recall Sen. Lena Taylor of Milwaukee and Sen. Fred Risser of Madison. But the organizers failed to meet the deadline.
Apparently, there was not enough free booze available.
I just hope there’s enough of the latter to help Scott Walker govern.

Maybe there are some things Koch money can’t buy.
I’ve been to Milwaukee, I ought to know…. There ain’t enough booze in Wisconsin, free or otherwise. Recall the bums.
The Repubs just can’t believe the truth–that they are a creepy minority of mostly white males.
I’d love to be optimistic but kock money buys kock suckers and they will buy democrat kock suckers just like they’ve bought repubuke kock suckers
I’m sure everyone has noticed every singe union is now under attack, beginning with the teachers union, they will go after police and firefighters, they’ve gotten rid of the foot ball unions, soon they will go after the baseball union, the broadcasting unions and I bet in our life times unions are made illegal
our children will grow up in a world where we work past productivity till the day we die, labor laws will be eliminated, no vacation, no sick days, no set work week, 12 hour days
I have no idea how to stop this train but democrats are no longer capable and recall will only slow the train down, only to pick up steam from the democrats instead of the republicans, they are bought just like republicans, case in point, the zero in office
Good morning, pups. It’s Brooks and Nocera this morning. Bobo is babbling about “The Big Disconnect,” and says our national discontent runs deeper than dollars and cents. He’s a schmuck, as usual. Mr. Nocera, in “The Limits of School Reform,” says what happens outside of school matters just as much as what happens inside. Really? Who’d have guessed?
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and I’ve got bagels and cream cheese this morning. Yesterday was a day full of errands, which is even more tiring than a day at work. Now I need a day off to recover from my day off! This getting older stuff ain’t for the faint of heart. Have a great day.
mornin marion!`
!
How long before “Dimocrats” begin parroting the Republican plans to destroy the unions?
soon enough, there they are talking about “fixing social security” a program that pays for itself, there they are voting for most all republican policies
soon we will have private schools and the elimination of child labor laws will mean the masses WILL be uneducated, children will be forced to work to support the family, and after that only “people with a degree” will be allowed to run for office
Not going into an important election year they won’t!
I think the new DCCC ad re Medicare is a good example of how to do the kabuki in order to come out looking pretty good (far better than they should!) going into an important election year, when it’s a D president’s time to spin his way to reelection.
and Obama and his cabal are a creepy minority. Apparently the Progressive Budget Proposal polls extremely well with the public yet O continues to embrace and promote the Bowles-Simpson initiatives.
Don’t know if anyone has seen this video clip I ran across. It’s entitled ‘Hi, I’m a Right Wing Nut Job’. Really funny and only 58 sec long.

In December 2012 we will begin to hear from Dimocrats that the “unions” are destroying the American way of life. Unions will have to re-fight battles they thought they had won in the 30′s and 40′s.
Good going Wisconsin.
Agreed.
Let the rigging begin.
Gotta face it.
Our elections are bullshit.
Every elected official in the US is for sale
whether it’s before or after an election.

Signatures have been submitted to recall 5 Repub and 3 Dem state senators. Dems Taylor and Risser seem to be home free. Dem Coggs may be after today.
Meanwhile, Scott Walker himself will be vulnerable to recall as soon as he becomes eligible for it next year:
The NFLPA disbanded (temporarily) on its own. It will re-form when it’s legally convenient.
They’re not going after the baseball players union. Most of the MLB players are millionaires and Republicans.
Your typo, “every singe union” actually says a lot. Unions, just like those in the middle class, have certainly been “singed” by thirty years of attacks by conservatives and, in too many cases, the Dems who should have been protecting them. However, they haven’t been burned to the point where they can’t recover. This recall process is part of the recovery.
