- Stalemate.
- Damn it feels good to be a bankster.
- Krugman: Who’s serious now?
- They’re all such idiots.
- Explains a lot, doesn’t it?

It would be irresponsible not to point out that Frothy Mixture is coming from behind.
Stalemate: No ground troops, the war goes on forever. Send in ground troops, the war goes on forever, just like Iraq. What did Obama expect to accomplish or was he just paying back the French and British for all the times they’ve joined one of our silly little oil based adventures?
Banksters: We’re going to have to depend on the civil courts for justice. We might get it, as the banksters hurt other big money players.
Krugman: Rand Paul is the political equivalent of a troll. Stop feeding him.
Idiots: No, they think WE’RE idiots.
Explains: Obama better like Rahm, look at all the “blame” he took with him when he left. Unnamed former senior administration offical commenting not for the record….
Boxturtle (Good Morning, All!)
I liked your link. I like how “F” is capitalized. Santorum is Former Senator. Pawlenty, Palin, Romney, et al., are Former Governors. Huntsman is Former Ambassador.
Isn’t that illegal in South Carolina? /s
I really like Krugman. If Oilbama had been an actual Progressive, he’d have this man on his financial team.
Good morning.
Let me know when he makes any kind of showing in a state that isn’t trying to out teabag everybody else.
Somebody once commented to me about how former Chilean President Salvador Allende was always referred to in the US media as “Marxist President Salvador Allende,” as if “Marxist President” were the office to which he was elected.
Perhaps, for example, Alaskans might have been smarter directly to elect Sarah Palin Former Governor, and avoid all of the nonsense associated with her ever being Governor.
Can we just fast forward to Former Candidate for the whole wingnut crew?
Here’s a very informative diary… …
The people with the power to do something (e.g. banksters) will always look to do something that may or may not be legal, but force the legal structure to spend time and energy stopping the move. Meanwhile the powerful have moved on to another ploy so the legal structure is always playing catch up, if it is trying at all.
Did anyone think that the gooper budget would be anything more than a fig leaf cover to destroy social safety nets and give more money to the rich? Now obama is in campaign mode, so he can attack ryan’s proffered budget and sound as if he means it. Down the road we will see that these are the beginning offers in negotiation before obama gives them more than they ask for and says that he had no choice. obama has a real record now going back to the Senate.
Mornin’, BT, pups
Dood or doodette musta been in hibernation for a while.
Stuck in the car yesterday, I had an “opportunity” to hear Paul Ryan waste airtime spouting nonsense about how his budget plan will do wonders — on NPR, of course, with only Nice Polite questions that did not challenge at all. Very discouraging.
Good morning, everyone. At least I can spend most of the day being Grandma at my granddaughters’ elementary school.
I get a kick out of all the bleating and pearl clutching by right wing politicians and pundits over Obama being “partisan”, (mean to Paul Ryan). I mean seriously, how the fuck did they expect any half rational person to greet a scheme that cuts 2.9 trillion dollars solely for rich people and corporations on the backs of people who can least afford it? It’s like the nursery school bully who demands all the toys and then throws a fit when s/he doesn’t get them. If it wasn’t all theater, I’d be greatly amused.
Yeah, NPR has turned into the FOX “News” of the radio world. If they could afford him, they’d probably hire Beck.
But nice he/she speaks the truth….Let Obama recall the McChry is a criminal….Not to be forgot.
NPR has become a disgrace. Was actually hoping PBS and NPR had been de-funded.
ROTFLMAO! Three guess where rabiddem spends most of his/her time…
That’s DOOD or DOODETTE, to you.
But nobody here has forgotten anything, as rabiddem seems to accuse. In all caps….
Good morning for Maria McKee kicking some ass. Fortunate Son.

I take it you have more than one granddaughter at the school in question? :-)
Gotta admit, BT, there’s a lot of stuff to read in those links. Nice to see the reichwingnuts goin’ overboard, though.
In case anybody but me is interested, there are 543 confirmed exoplanets now.
Yup. Two, one 2nd grader and one 4th grader. I have eight (!) grandkids. These two are my daughter’s girls.
Just checking apostrophe usage.
Was here all of 12 minutes. Sorta like a stone that went kerplunk instead of skipping across the Lake. Needs to do a little less meth this early in the morning.
Apostrophe usage?
IM happy for the reminder and the shout….
There’s a lot of decent stuff on NPR and PBS that is worth saving IMHO. And I don’t much like the notion that public broadcasting should not be supported for purely ideological reasons.
That person is a regular at Daily Kos, or at least there is nobody who posts under that pseudonym there. Unsurprisingly, s/he is one of the remaining reflexive and vehement Obamabots.
I don’t make that mistake. I have lots of other shortcomings, but grammar and spelling are strengths. I’m the annoying person who nitpicks BT a couple of times a week. ;-D
Sita sat on my vitamins and now they’ve got cat hair all over ‘em. Damn. This one’s a handful.
On balance, so do I. I don’t always agree with him, of course, and I’m sure you don’t either, but at least he’s usually a voice for the forgotten of this administration. I could do without some of the wonky battles between him and other economists who agree on the politics.
I know. I was just messing with you’s.
Agreed. I don’t throw something away because it’s broken. Bush ruined NPR and PBS by putting Tomlinson in charge and he started taking so much money with strings attached from the Koch’s. They need to be fixed, not jettisoned. If public funding stopped, neither would go away, just more beholden to the corporations. They were ruined by policy, they can be fixed the same way. IF we had a president that cared.
LMAO! You’ll be hacking up hairballs with them by tomorrow. She still getting along?
Remember the first couple NN conventions? How so many here were jazzed to be going. Didn’t see shit last year nor this. Mayhaps next year they can hold it in conjunction with the Vichycrat Convention.
“Somebody” not “nobody”. Wish I’d seen that earlier. Maybe I should start drinking coffee.
NPR was neutered by the Republicans for purely ideological reasons. NPR and PBS have become instruments for insuring the status quo and the plutocracy. There is “non-political” programing that is worthwhile but the harm NPR and PBS does outweighs any good.
The Austin one was fun but lately they should call it VPN (Veal Pen Nation)

Did you read this? I went to the site http://www.planethunters.org a while back. It’s easy to go blind there.
I wasn’t gonna say anything but ya sure had me scratchin’ me head.
On Morning Joe, I heard a bit of Congresscritter Jeb Hensarling talking about the budget. What a dick. Debt crisis. Debt crisis. Debt crisis. Cut and privatize. Cut and privatize. Cut and privatize. Do these assholes have anything else to say? He could say that the Bush tax cuts were the most irresponsible tax cuts in all of human history, especially since we were dealing with a war of choice then and are still dealing with it now that Obama has helped extend those irresponsible tax cuts.
Where are the real leaders? Jeb Hensarling has become a media darling for his stupid comment about tarring and feathering. WTF? If anyone in Congress should be tarred and feathered, it would be all those who played a part in passing the Bush tax cuts and all those who played a part in extending them.
[Note to mod: I put in the link of Hensarling talking about people being tarred and feathered so that it would be clear that I am not advocating tarring and feathering. It was a comment of a member of Congress that received attention at several sites.]
Thanks for the links. I stopped reading anything science on yahoo because they used to get it wrong so regularly but maybe I’ll start again if they’re getting it right these days. I have planet hunters bookmarked though. :)
Yeah….Maybe I should use some sort of artificial stimulant to wake up. I drank so damned much coffee when I was in the Navy and I really haven’t since.
Peggy Noonan was very concerned about when the next “Ronnie” will show up and save them from assholes like Hensarling. She sees Barry as very vulnerable.
Hensarling:
Hey, asshole, the Bush tax cuts were the most irresponsible tax cuts in all of human history. TARP was the result of abuse and led to even more abuse. And your best idea is cut spending on important and effective government programs and privatize them?
Off to swim in the great capitalist cesspool.

Yeah, me too. Beans get old in the fridge before I can grind ‘em. Buy a half pint of cream and it goes sour before I can use it up.
My NE Ohio relatives say, “you-uns.”
The so-called Debt Crisis is this decade’s version of “Terrorism.”
US citizens’ attention span re terrorists under the bed is gone, so Debt Crisis has been manufactured to scare ‘em stupid(er) and force the serf’s to give up even more money to the Robber Barons at the top of the pyramid.
It’s always booga booga scary scary fear fear… works like a charm for a large swathe of the population. FEAR the Debt CRISIS!!!!! Stick ‘em up and give us ALL of yer monies…. and so on…

Ballots are now totaled: Prosser wins by 7316
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel – Mike Johnson, Larry Sandler – 24 minutes ago
State Supreme Court Justice David Prosser emerged as the winner Friday over challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg in an election that drew national attention because of the fight over collective …
Shall we begin the recount – including Milwaukee?
Since the ballots were never impounded, can we ever *really* trust the results of a recount anyway?
