Pink — Raise Your Glass.
what’s on your mind?
hey starbuck — how ya doing tonight?
Hi, Suz! Suddenly FDL froze up, but it’s running again!
How’s the little one? Are you in PDX?
didn’t see a freeze on my end — i’ve been refreshing fairly often
Maybe my end.
i’m at jen’s in the ‘burbs. grandaughter is cuter than cute
Ouu, a little pink huh? I feel young now.
I’ve been meaning to ask you if in PDX and surrounds or???
Hope you aren’t getting tired out much!
hey chaeronea — how ya doing tonight?
the suburbs on the west side — i’m taking care of jen and the house and jen’s taking care of the babe :)
Now your’s is a new name to me!
Used to live on the West Side…Cedar hills, north of Beaverton.
tis the ‘burbs but not as bad as the san francisco ‘burbs are…
Hi Suz, starbuck, chaeronea! I’m still excited about the grandbaby and she’s not even mine…
evening, Suzzzz, firegods
hey margot — how’s ohio tonight?
I rather prefer the West side, even all the way out to Hillsboro. Too expensive, however.
hey ppd — how ya doing tonight?
Hi everyone. RC is off house arrest, as of this morning. Still out catting around.
tis pricy in comparison to the east side
Quite nice, kinda chilly now but I’ll take it. You keeping warm?
hey wmd — how ya doing? rc is strutting around still
Hi wmd. The weather has been keeping me in virtual house arrest, although the last couple of days been relatively nice. Cold but nice.
warmer here — no drafts :)
Aloha, Suz…! How’s the sleep cycle doing for everybody, you included…? ;-)
pretty good, thanks — how’s grandma tonight?
aloha tut — mine is fucked up for sure — i was up at 10 forking thirty this morning — before forking noon! jen’s been taking naps in the day which is a good thing.
how’s paradise tonight?
wanted to say Congratulations to Gran Suzanne!!!
and make sure to have fun!
I’m fine, things are alright tonight here in a luxuriant spring’s eve way
i’ve been derelict in my grammyhood — i haven’t taken hardly any pictures.
on the other hand, i’ve been doing laundry, changing diapers, wiping down counters, etc.
Aloha CT. An interesting blog post about Paradise.
hey ks — thanks — luxuriant spring eve eh? sounds pretty good to me :)
*heh* So little Jujube has a healthy set of lungs…?
I actually had Sun today, and, I relished it…! ;-)
RC is mostly healed – remaining sore was down to size of a pea from half dollar size a week ago. I just hope he’s not finding new fights, still it was time to let him out to play again.
she’s actually a very good baby (so far). still doing a lotta sleeping, wakes up to eat and get changed, and goes back to sleep fairly quickly. she’s had some gas … as do all babies
I still have gas! If I had saved it all, I probably would not have any more heating bills!
Hi, Suz…..just a quick in-and-out to congratulate you and to encourage you to enjoy every moment! I did night duty with the baby boys so their mama could get some sleep. Moments I will never forget! Divine. Enjoy. And so I’m out….fightin’ the south california ick…sinus junk. Your grandbaby is adorable!
Aloha, Starbuck…! The sad thing too is that he leads the generic polls over most of the potential contenders, such as my Critter, Mazie Hirono, former Honolulu mayor, Mufi Hanneman, even former Guv Linda Lingle…! *gah*
hey dearie…thank you :) hope you feel better soon hon. g’nite
A quarter for the juke.
hey that guy — how’s your eye?
Good, how are you doing Suzanne?
Sometimes I sneak around these parts and forget to his refresh =P
The eye is pretty much healed up, just a little irritation from time to time. I’m mending in the lungs, too. Had our first practice with the new bass player and everyone approves. I knew they would, Rich kicks ass.
Kitties are good, but as you saw, I had a good cry over Brat. Two years. Hard to believe.
i’m hanging in :) enjoying these precious times and trying to remember it all :)
yay and *sigh* hard to believe its been that long…. but now ya have your new orange kittahs… they don’t replace but they help soothe
From what part of the world do you hail?
“A house needs a grandma in it.”__Louisa May Alcott
hey robert — how’s soPA tonight? thanks for the poem
sink the pink
Rainy and chilly here. Supposed to dry out in a couple days. My lawn is like a waterbed to walk on….
weather dood said more rain headed this way…. but today was sunshine with some white puffys
Yesterday was even better. Spectacular early evening sky.
That’s a good way to see it, I’m not sure what you’re trying to remember, its sticking in my head a bit too hard for my own taste. But I hope you are well.
yesterday was a hectic day. i had hail coming over the coast range early afternoon and had my heater on…. when i got here, it was warmish and sunny…. the weather patterns were as changeable as jujube’s diapers :)
Teach your children well
New York, specifically upstate, how about yourself (I’m assuming) sir?
Question to all the pups with band and music production background:
Both Doran Doran and Foo Fighters have released new albums in vinyl. Is the old traditional 33 and a third making a comeback?
I’m going to call RC one more time, after that he’s out for the night and I’m going to bed.
Yes they certainly do. This afternoon I laid down for a nap, and Hank snuggled with me just like Brat used to. In a way it was sad but it was nice because it was the first time either of them had done that. Both of them are so sweet.
Pearl Jam has been releasing records on vinyl for over a decade.
And a belated congrats on the grandchild!
i am well and enjoying grammyhood immensely :) missing token but know he is getting spoiled rotten
that’s prime csny margot :) great song
She/He, not positive which… hails from western New York state…! ;-)
What is their reason for preferring vinyl?
that’s great though!
Uh oh, that’s my neck of the woods
*heh* I’m late as usual…! ;-)
I well remember that one. Thanks, Suz.
Did you have to drag your computer with you or is a laptop enough?
Meanwhile, Bailey rules the roost, eh…? ;-)
laptop is all i use — my desktop is in the pod
I’m from Portland OR, not far from Suz, whether at her daughters or at home.
Bunch of doddering old fools, it seems. At least moi! I’m past grandpahood and on to greater things, like great gramps!
my little sister has grandchildren that are only a few years younger than my stephanie
Wow! Go figure!
i also have an aunt that is 1 month 3 days older than me
I think some is nostalgia, a chance to do traditional album artwork… I don’t think that mass pressings of vinyl are better fidelity than digital encodings, even before the inevitable wear (if you truly think analog recording is better then analog master tape is the way to go, and any editing will cause some degradation. Don’t think many studios still have analog tape though as digital editing gives much more control).
Furry fucker is out for the night, figured he’d want to come home to eat at least. 10 day of house arrest, can’t blame him too much.
Good night all.
And be careful gramma Suz.
thanks wmd — sleep well
My SO, whom you met, has an uncle 3 months younger than I. Two of my children are the same age as a couple of my youngest cousins, the oldest of which are fairly close to my age.
my mom is the oldest of 11 and my dad was the middle of 11 — i got cousins and second cousins of all ages
Ahh, alrighty, tuttle meant me, I’m the western NY person =P
*heh* Still being gender neutral, eh…? ;-)
I figgered it out!
Someplace above she indicated she was a granny (I think!)
red white and pink slip blues
Not when She/He is younger than moi…! ;-)
Careful Suz…! 100 is almost here…! ;-0
Take Good Care of My Baby…
*heh* 100…! ;-)
yay!!! happy lucky 100 tut!!! (thanks dood)
Tried to find the post, but I think I got confused with one of Suz’ posts.
Back to square one. One possible indicator: chaeronea ends in “a”.
hey vmt — how ya doing tonight?
Good, Suzanne. How are you?
No problemo, M’dear…! ;-)
Chaeronea (kerunē’u) [key], ancient town of Boeotia, Greece, in the Cephissus (now Kifisós) River valley and NW of Thebes.
i’m doing well — been enjoying julianna renee and helping out jen
A major battlefield even…! ;-)
I imagine that you might also spell it this way:
Lovely pronunciation as well:
Just like FDL!
Nice. I’m just relaxing. Does anybody else find the lack of news coverage of the Japanese reactor disaster puzzling. I think that story should be dominating the news, but it really seems like it pops up and then disappears altogether. I’m really astonished by the lack of motivation the mainstream press seems to have for that story.
i was very surprised. when i last saw the news thursday nite, there was lotsa coverage — now it has been upgraded to the worst possible rating and zippo… quiet
Even less coverage of the earthquake itself. Japan seems to have become a pariah state.
sorry to be fading so early tonight folks. this getting up before the crack of noon has its down sides — like making me forking yawn before forking midnight
thanks for lettng me hang out with ya tonight
Nite, Suz. Take care and sleep well.
Yeah, there are times I have to go looking for the most recent update on the situation. Seems to me like they should have 24/7 satellite coverage of the situation, but maybe I’m just a DFH.
Sweet dreams, Suz…! *g*
Night. Sleep well.
Nobody loves you when you’re down and out…and radioactive
Just headed for bed when I thought to check FDL. Most heartfelt congratulations on the grandbaby, Suz. Such a joyful time. I will head to dreamland with the sounds of a snorfling newborn in my head. I miss stopping in here, but I’ve been busy. I will have to shuffle the priority deck so I don’t miss out.
Yeah, it seems like the response from the Obama administration and the rest of the world is fairly subdued. The elites are terrified of terrorists blowing up their corporate headquarters, but reactors melting down simply don’t register.
saw this just as i was powering down. thanks sb
When I was a teenager, I was a ham radio operator.(W9SEJ) Very radio active!
Ah, well, I’ve turned into a pumpkin so it’s g’nite all.
(What am I thinking! I’ve always only been a pumpkin!)
I was a Commo Chief in the Army…! Very radio active too…! All different sorts – Am/Fm/Satcoms etc…! ;-)
I went on to get my First Class Radio telephone ticket…when I was 16. Could not hold a job with that ticket as I was too young to be around such dangerous equipment.
They shudda seen my shack!
Ah, I really am off to bed.
Pleasant dreams, Starbuck…! ;-)
