Did you miss the very beginning of The Boehn’s announcement of the budget deal late Friday night? Eric Cantor was elbowed aside by none other than The Odious Doc Virginia Foxx, who surely was permitted onto the dais by The Boehn. We can only speculate what central role this North Carolina fourth-termer played in denying her DC co-genderists health care and treatment funded by their very own tax dollars.

In case you’re forgetten Virginia Foxx, I’ve compiled some of her greatest hits.

Here’s Virginia Foxx on the floor of the House of Representatives discussing the “hoax,” as she called it, of naming the Hate Crimes bill for Matthew Shepard, since according to her there was no hate crime committed, just a simple robbery.

The truly odious part of Virginia Foxx’s dismissal of Matthew Shepard’s murder was that his mother, Judy Shepard, was in the House gallery at the time of Congresswoman Foxx’s statement. Matthew’s mother heard a member of Congress further the hate crime committed against her son.

First elected in 2004, Virginia Foxx made her early mark as one of the *eleven* members of Congress to vote to deny aid to Katrina victims in September 2005, while folks were still waiting to be rescued from the Superdome.

Doc Foxx is a death-panelist: during debate on the Affordable Care Act, in July 2009, she raised the spectre not only of pulling the plug on gramps but of actively euthanizing him:

“Republicans have a better solution that won’t put the government in charge of people’s health care,” she said. “(The plan) is pro-life because it will not put seniors in a position of being put to death by their government.”

Foxx said it worries her where that portion of the bill could lead, since physician-assisted suicide is legal in some states.

“I would like to see an amendment to the bill similar to the abortion exclusion that simply says no taxpayer funds should be used for euthanasia and no government rules should mandate euthanasia coverage,” she said.

Later that year, she claimed that passing health care reform was a greater threat to the United States than any terrorist.

“I believe that the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room — this very room — and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill,” Foxx said this afternoon.

“I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country,” she added.

In the first 90 seconds of her floor speech, Doc Foxx uses some form of the word “fear” or “frightened” ten times.

So, when you hear Crazy-Eyes Bachmann rail about her ‘disappointment‘ over The Boehn’s budget deal, remember: there’s some fear-mongering crazy right alongside the Tan Man.

Virginia Foxx is who Boehner wanted at his side and, as you can see in short video atop this post, not even Eric Cantor’s blinding ambition to be in the spotlight stopped her from showing her face right alongside the Speaker.

And Boehner wanted it that way, you can be very sure. As Doc Foxx said herself, taking W’s malapropism right through the looking glass, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you!”

When you hear people say that no one is happy with this deal, because everyone had to compromise and every side had to give up something to get there, remember this: Virginia Foxx is plenty happy — she’s happy enough to muscle her way into camera range when the Speaker announces the deal. And the Speaker of the House is plenty happy to have this hateful extremist bigot right there alongside him.
