I did an outside yard work day. The snow is mostly gone, pulled out a rake and cleaned up the view outside my office (living room) window. Also cleaned out a 5 foot by 20 foot flower bed that had gotten out of control and totally overgrown. It will be an addition to the kitchen herb garden.

So this is Korhn signin’ on and i’m glad ya’ll liked the video,we have a bunch more on youtube if you’d like to see more.We did this because we couldn’t make it to South by Southwest in Austin so it’ll have to do.

I suspect outside the universe is where the data is.

There is a theory of the holo universe. It holds that everything at the quantum level is data stored elsewhere. They even consider the Heisenberg uncertainty principle in the theory and believe it occurs because both values are presented in a single API. And they also believe that because of the dual-slit experiment where you can hide the data from yourself for years and when you then decide to read it, the wave pattern disappears and particle behavior appears, that the universe conserves energy by only presenting a particle when it is needed (see: entangled particles). In other words, it’s a simulation of a universe, and a damned good one.

BTW, we can now make holograms you can touch.

We are not here. Or we’re entirely digital.

Actually, experiments will eventually prove we create ourselves and the Universe we live in; that we really exist on the other side of the membrane and “Create” imaginary physical lives as entertainment for others like us.

At SJSU I took music appreciation (for my humanities requirements) from Professor Strange, who brought the rebel DJ’s in to class. There was a minor revolt (not sure if it was KPIG, but I think it was) and the station was going to change its format. So they rounded up all of the albums from the station to safeguard them.

He also invited many country, western and bluegrass musicians to play. I got to do my class project by writing and recording 5 CW songs. And yes, I did get an A.

That was a great class.

Let me just say I understand where you’re coming from and I’m being a bit facetious. But it’s equally likely we’re in an arcade playing the hot game. I’m not sure it’s all that scripted. Just digital.

Think of it like WoW or Call of Duty. There are scripted elements, to be sure. But you don’t necessarily buy into, or know, the complete picture.

In WoW you may have several avatars with differing skills. It’s a fun game for our time, but in a far more advanced civilization (or universe, if you prefer), that would be extremely boring in the extreme.

This, on the other hand, is exquisite. No one can argue that this isn’t an amazing construct. But as a projection, it’s not wholly scripted. There is a randomness to it.

Furthermore, without getting into the nature of entanglement for the moment, it’s entirely possible, even probable, that we are part of the construct and not necessarily… alive in the sense we think of being alive.

I do prefer the version you offer. Or the arcade version. But as a construct of the universe only? Meh. We’d just reappear, none the wiser for our trials.

I definitely don’t like that one, but it’s not ruled out yet.

Now it it all collapses, we’ll know for sure. Shall we meet for tea afterwards?

i had a couple days of being right around 60 and then whammo… more rain and arctic air. there’s forking snow down to the 1500 ft level and it may drop down to 1,000 tonight. weather dood said we may have some dry and warm up this weekend but are gonna get hit with another blast next week. i want to wear tshirts instead of fleece. its thirty forking seven degrees outside

Seems you’ve hit the source of belief systems having a punishment component. Be it heaven, Karama, what have you, we seem to be attracted to the idea that we can understand good and evil in people to be something greater than the person itself. I’m not so sure, I’m not going to feel much grief for the actions of someone like Cheney, but maybe I’m just not as good as others are.

yeah, I haven’t had my coat on a while, but 30 for me isn’t really much more than an extra layer. We got snow back home at my parents, passed over where I am right now mostly. This winter just won’t give up.

i love oregon — its so forking pretty and the people are so nice. i just wish i could see a wee bit more of the sun. my last 5 years in ca was in the santa cruz mts in a temperate rain forest and we got just about the same average amount of rain (about 70″ year) down there but we got it all in about 5 months. living on the coast is a lot grayer than i’m used to tho.

Yeah. I’m helping out Mom (who is 89 and still manages a quite large and diverse garden here). No A/C so I added one. And she throws open the doors and windows at 3 pm because usually that’s when the breeze happens. Except in August when the breeze is a blast furnace.

BTW, a lot of the plants came from Oregon. She even had a rubber tree growing in the basement of the house in Portland. She has a major green thumb. The plants just obey.

I am on my back on a dirty blanket. I pooped in my diaper some time ago, but Mom doesn’t seem to have noticed yet. This is the part of manifestation I hate the most, the helplessness of the baby stage. It would be better if it didn’t take so long to completely forget my true reality. Still, for the time I can remember, I am free to come and go from this body when I want to, but not so often that doing so retards the infant’s growth. So, I must remain here long enough for the baby to achieve enough misery, from the mess drying all over his ass, to cry.
Two interns are in the playpen, although there is nothing in there to play with. The oldest is now a toddler, but not yet old enough to be unable to communicate with me. The other intern is out of the other’s body, glaring at Mom. Mom is reclined on the sofa, smoking a cigarette and reading a paperback novel.
“I didn’t sign on for this,” the out-of-body intern tells me. “My manifestation is full of mucus, and that woman’s smoking is making it worse. Why doesn’t she take me to a doctor.”
“She will,” I tell the intern, “You need to be more persistent in crying. Let the snot pour from your nose and refuse to eat.”
“She’s such an idiot,” the intern says.
Without looking up from the page, my collaborator speaks from within Mom’s body, “I’m just following the script. Don’t take it out on me. Take it up with poopy-pants.”
Poopy-pants being me, I respond, “You did sign on for this, brother. Mom is a very experienced manifestor, staying within the limits of her predetermined personality. She will only mother us when we make her mother us. Let me demonstrate.”
I begin to cry. Mom continues to read. I raise the volume of my crying. Mom remains unaffected. I cry and scream. Mom gets off the sofa, clearly annoyed. She checks me out.
“Poo-tink! Poo-tink,” she says. Then, with amazing dexterity, she removes my diaper, cleans me and secures me in a fresh diaper.
“What about us,” the out-of-body intern says about the manifestations still in the playpen. “Okay, let’s cry, then,” he tells the oldest brother.
The room fills with crying and screaming. Mom abandons me to pick up the wheezing baby, forcing its intern to return to his body. Mom tries to get the manifestation to drink formula, but he refuses. My brother smears his snot on Mom’s neck and shoulder, then vomits to emphasize his distress.
“You’re learning,” I tell him.
Mom telephones her mother for help.

The older you get, the more interesting it all seems. I do have a few gripes. Humans age too quickly. By the time you figure out what’s what you’re in decline. Ask any NBA basketball player. The really savvy ones aren’t the kids. Even the great ones. I’d prefer about 300 years, but then the rest of you would have to procreate less, and sex is one thing all creatures can’t seem to kick the addiction to, LOL.

This has been one of the most entertaining LLNFDLers ever. Can’t wait to find out what the folks behind the membrane thought of it all….

Not that I have any delusions, but some sort of timestretching ability would be amazing in my opinion. I’d not mind 300 years of study and learning to my current defined, yet uncertain lifespan. I’ve just had a drought of peers willing to invest the time into thought, but much of that has to do with financial stress and continuing the current status of society.

We won’t hit the procreation sweet spot for eons, its too much of an enjoyable animal trait to participate in.
