Great day in Wasilla and Palmer today. I was the official photographer at Katie Hurley‘s 90th birthday party at the Palmer train depot. She was the chief clerk of the Alaska constitutional convention, a fellow Norwegian, and a dear friend. Over 250 people there. Gotta get up early to fix the 150-odd pics and post ‘em on facebook. Saw people there I hadn’t seen in 20 years.

Methane even on a small scale would be better than nothing. I have not had a compost pile for years as it would attract bears. Then i have not seen a bear here for many years. Must be time to make a new compost pile. Our little town processes so much waste. The potential may not pay but may figure in the long run.
