BILL O’REILLY: Americans are now caught up in a very important conflict: cost-cutting vs. union benefits.
According to a new CBS poll, 37 percent of Americans favor cutting pay or benefits for public union employees, but 56 percent oppose that. The New York Times headline on Tuesday was: “Majority in Poll Back Employees in Public Sector.” But the poll is misleading because 20 percent of the respondents say they are from union households. If you subtract them, those who favor cutting benefits win the poll.
Yes, that’s right, it never counts when you might be an interested person holding an opinion opposite of Bill O’Reilly. The fact that the very well-paid are the only income group that favors (and barely) restricting collectively bargain isn’t mentioned because in FoxWorld the wealthy are non-partisan pure intellects, unaffected by wants or desires — rich people are funny that way. In short, they’re just better than the rest of us, and no one is “more better” than you than Bill O’Reilly, just ask him.
Sadly, this isn’t even the most offensive example of a conservative doing this, right Byron York?
[Obama's] sky-high ratings among African-Americans make some of his positions appear a bit more popular overall than they actually are.
Because African-American opinion doesn’t count for Byron York, not even 3/5ths as much as “real Americans”.

Fox News lies.
100% of people approve of democracy but of course 100% of those people are from households that vote so if you subtract them from the poll no one believes in democracy.
News flash: Washington Examiner adopts a new survey methodology that, editors claim, more accurately measures public opinion than all other polls, including Gallop, Roper, etc. The editors describe the new weighting algorithm as simply
(respondent survey weight * (1 if white male of European descent, 3/5 otherwise)).
The editors claim that this method reflects the state of public opinion as god and the founding fathers intended.
Poll after poll proves what we all suspected: the Right in America are a creepy minority.
Absolutely.
Polls that ask if you support that messy out of work bunch of slobs that are messing up the Capitol building in Madison are particularly reliable.
Our corporate media is pathetic. The coverage is either lies or nonexistent. But let the teabaggers sneeze and the media can’t get enough. Working (or unemployed) people don’t matter.
excellent comeback there
Quick ot,
Aljezeera reporting that judge in Lahore has denied the diplomatic immunity claim of spook Raymond Davis.
Checked the NYT… cickets. Scooped again by a real news org. or “withheld at the request of the government”?
Good morning firepups.
Protest Funeral March to Stop Gov. Walker’s Attacks on the People of Wisconsin – March 3rd!

With the anti union bill in Ohio getting out of committee we can see very clearly the impact of the WH Whore and his absolute disregard of the promises he made during the election run up in 2008. If he had not been such an absolute lying bastard I would suspect that we would not have swathes of anti-union goopers sitting in state houses throughout the country. The blame for union busting lies at the feet of Øbummer but then I guess he was only doing his master’s bidding.
Good morning, pups. It’s Collins and Kristof this morning. In “Girls and Boys Together” Ms. Collins says President Obama’s report on the status of American women stirred up some interesting bits of information. If only Eleanor Roosevelt had lived to see this. Mr. Kristof says “Here’s What We Can Do to Tackle Libya:” The Libyan leader may be a megalomaniacal nut, but he’s also a murderous one with mustard gas. Let’s ratchet up the pressure toward a peaceful outcome.
Here they are.
The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got banana pancakes for breakfast. Running late this morning, so I’m running off… Have a great day.
I agree. Oilbumbler is beholden to his corporate paymasters. A few weeks ago those big jowled white men were complaining they were being bashed, so Barry had to mollify them. You think after that whining, he’s gonna go all out and support the unions?
The Wisc protests might be his downfall if he plays it poorly, and knowing how sucky a leader he is he will certainly play it poorly.
I thank god for Bill O’Reilly every day. As long as he’s alive, I’ll never be the stupidest person in the universe.
leading the campaign: Millionaires for class warfare!
The epitome of authoritarian thinking…if you don’t have my opinion you are wrong…and furthermore, not even validated as a human being! Therefore, I can do whatever I want to do to you…you don’t count, cause you aren’t helping ME, ME and More ME.
God bless our Narcissistic, Authoritarian, Fascist America.
Heh,
Unintentionally, I think you just called yourself second. : – )
You want stoopid? Ever see the three chowderheads on FOX & Friends early in the morning, Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest.
Just a frank admission of what everybody knows anyway. :)
Hey, if you subtract people who watch O’Reilly from the poll, over 75% of Americans oppose cutting pay and benefits for public union employees! That poll is misleading because it includes responses from brainwashed Fox viewers.
They have a selective concept of “freedom” too…as long as they have freedom to limit other people’s freedom (to negotiate, live a middle class life, stay above the poverty line, to not have flammable tap water) then America is free. Below a Koch Freedom Creed for Americans For (limiting) Prosperity (to a select few). Mel Gibson cry “Freedom!”

The Goopers are in the State House because the unemployment rate is 10 percent (really more like 15 or 16). He didn’t lose on health care or Guantanamo. He could have done everything we wished he would do, and the result would be the same because he listened to Geithner and Larry Summers rather than to Christie Romer in the spring of 2009.
As to the main point of this post, Attaturk is dead right. The Right thinks we are ‘cockroaches’ to quote the ineffable Rush Limbaugh. That’s right up there with the ‘vermin’ and ‘parasites’ that a certain party in Germany used to call the Jews, and we know how that all worked out. I guess ‘enemies of the people’ has been ruled out for the time being, but it might be called back into use if the occasion requires it. Remember, all it takes is the right definition of ‘people’, and we seem to be more than half-way there.
The rightwing spooge buckets of the Fox/Clear Channel continuum were hired originally and through forever to dehumanize and downgrade the serfs to the point that significant minorities of serfs are absolutely self-loathing idiots who’ll rush to do their upper 2% elite-Masters’ bidding in the vain notion that somehow they’ll curry favor that way. Of course, the David Koch’s of this world laugh and laugh at them, but the rest of us have to put up with the sh*t along with the idiots who give it all away.
Beginning with el-Lushbo calling most women “Femi-Nazis” along with steadily escalating his racist commentary, it’s been a race to the bottom to de-humanize the serfs of all colors, creeds, religions, genders, gender-orientation & nationalities.
Thanks you so much, Tea Party, for helping to put the lid on our coffins! Nice going….
it’s not just the “The Right” that uses eliminationist rhetoric.
i wish i understood how we can see it when the right wingnuts do it, but not when we do.
I totally agree with you, onitgoes, but I don’t think it will last forever. There is always a breaking point. There is always a point where the privileged few overstep – and the disenfranchised “many” rise up and revolt. Russia. Rumania, France… Viva le Revolucion
Let me grab my knitting…
Maybe if Rush lost a couple hundred pounds he’d be a little more effable.
Well, that’s what Wifey #4 is thinking.
You sound defeated and dead already. Your ‘right’ to feel depressed, of course, but just think if the folks in Madison and other places where the middle class is being attacked via legislation and propaganda reacted similarly.
