Pouting Baby is talking to us again. – JW
I don’t understand why the government is doing so many mean things to Bradley. They already have him in a jail, but they keep doing things to punish him before a judge or jury has said that he did the bad things they are saying he did. They didn’t even have a full list of the bad things they say he did until yesterday.
They only let him out of the room where they keep him for one hour a day. For a couple of days, they even stripped him to his underwear and kept him in the room all day because they claimed he would try to kill himself even though some doctors didn’t think he would. They stopped this after just two days and then a little later the jail got a new boss.
But today, Bradley’s lawyer told us that the people at the jail came up with a new and even worse way to punish him:
Last night, PFC Manning was inexplicably stripped of all clothing by the Quantico Brig. He remained in his cell, naked, for the next seven hours. At 5:00 a.m., the Brig sounded the wake-up call for the detainees. At this point, PFC Manning was forced to stand naked at the front of his cell.
Why did they make Bradley spend the night naked? What could he have done to make them do that? He’s been in his jail cell 23 hours a day without talking to anyone, so I don’t see how he had a chance to do anything to make the jail people mad.
But Bradley must be even more worried now, because he knows they are taking his clothes again tonight:
PFC Manning has been told that the same thing will happen to him again tonight. No other detainee at the Brig is forced to endure this type of isolation and humiliation.
How can the people at the jail do this? Aren’t there laws that say people in jail can’t be tortured? I’d give Bradley my blankie tonight if I could. It’s probably colder in his room than it is in mine.
Here are Miss Jane and Mr. David talking about what’s being done to Bradley earlier today before we learned about his clothes being taken away:
And here is Mr. Jeff with more about Bradley’s clothes being taken away.
