Washington’s response to the massacre and uprising in Libya is to add new twitter feeds. Activists in Libya have apparently taken over Benghazi and are not in the streets of Tripoli.

Well, now it seems that Texas Gov. Rick Perry has been attacked by one coyote and three “anarchists.” Quite the inspiring credentials for a presidential run, I’d say.

Egypt’s former president Hosni Mubarak’s looted billions — indeed, his ability to loot billions as representatives of our government scoff at activists who call such looting illegal — plays a fundamental role in our house of cards economy. And, given that we reward obedient client dictators with permission to loot their country, it plays a fundamental role in American hegemony in this world.

So this is really about Gov. Scott Walker bitch slapping teachers and state employees and keeping their asses in line.
