Cuomo criticized for receiving Communion

Cuomo, who lives in New Castle, Westchester County, with his famous girlfriend — Food Network personality Sandra Lee — should not seek communion, according to Edward Peters, an adviser to the Vatican’s highest court and a professor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.

Took it to Best Buy yesterday at lunch. Guy took off the access panel and said take it home, put it in the driveway and blow it out with a leaf blower. Lots of cat hair, dust and dirt. Said I didn’t have access to a leaf blower. He said stop at a gas station and use the air pump. Stopped at the Citgo on the corner where I get my gas, put 75 cents in the pump and blew it out. Took it home, used about 20 Q-tips to clean the gunk out of the processor fan housing. It’s been purring ever since.

The WI Assembly is a bit out of the game that needs to be played out in the Seante at this point. The large R majority in the Assembly isn’t really going anywhere without the Senate, but yes it would be nice to see a filibuster go until the so-called, “budget repair,” bill is quashed.

Listening to the callers on WJ this morning. It’s always “them damn unions are takin’ over” bullshit..which is exactly what the oligarchs want. Never mind the fact that the Wall Street criminals blew up the economy to the tune of $Trillions, which created all this havoc in the first place. And thanks to a bought-and-paid-for Congress and WH, these pricks walked. No indictments. No prosecutions. No supermax prison time. How can people not see this? Further, once the last vestiges of union protection are dismantled, what makes these idiots think they’re not next on the hit list? Fuckin’ morans…

The Republican-controlled Senate convened at 7 a.m. Thursday and ordered a call of the house, which allowed Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald to dispatch the state patrol to the homes of missing senators. Fitzgerald says the police can’t arrest them, but he hoped their presence would pressure at least one of them to return so the bill could be voted on.

Since they skipped across the state line Thursday to block a Republican budget plan, the 14 Wisconsin Democrats have gone into survival mode in Illinois, doing small loads of laundry and eating “whatever we can get our hands on.”

“Each day brings its own challenges,” said Sen. Spencer Coggs, D-Milwaukee, by telephone. “Somebody will need an electric shaver or somebody will need provisions.”

Coggs has had to purchase underwear, socks and T-shirts. His wife brought him more clothes over the weekend. Sen. Julie Lassa, D-Stevens Point, needed more contact lens solution.

“It’s just roughing it, like staying in a college dorm all over again,” Coggs said. “It’s sort of like being a refugee.”

On the smoking thing though, I gotta add, my mother’s grandmother smoked her whole life and lived past 100 but it killed my mom at 63. I think it’s the additives in factory made cigarettes that kills the most people. Phosphorous for example. It can’t be good to inhale burning phosphorous in any amount.

It was yesterday during the fake David Koch phone call that Walker admitted that he was considering a plan to lure the Democrats back into town to “negotiate” and then the Republicans can consider that a “session” of the Senate and vote for passage of the union busting bill, even if the Democrats leave again. I put negotiate in quotes because Walker was clear that it was just the bait he would use to get them back and he had no intention of actually negotiating.

Aside from handing over sole authority to Walker to sell public assets with no bid processes and make sole determinations of what assets qualify for firesale dumping (not just power plants) and handing Walker sole authority to set eligibility requirements for public safety net programs for seniors, unemployed and children, Walker’s main point with the so called “budget repair bill” is to get it passed before he releases the details of his budget for the next biennium.

Representative Mark Pocan explains Walkers fun with budget numbers that shows the projected $3.6B is bogus and would only occur if all new requests for state agency funding were granted in their entirety.

Don’t forget Jeffery Plale, Walker’s new state facilities manager, ($90K a year plus working on another state pension) former Democratic Senator who voted against his party to quash the Doyle lame duck passage of the union contract that had been in negotiations for 18 months previous. The unions were giving up $100M, but Walker isn’t going to get that much from them anymore unless he busts them.

Then there is real estate developer, DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp and her assistants already in place for the firesale and environmental havoc about to be reeked.

BTW, a great web-site for Wisconsinites to follow in those last two links.

When you get extensions of the Bush era tax cuts you have to do something with all that “job producing,” extra cash. /s

What are they going to do? Take the families hostage? I wouldn’t put it past the Governor.

You got to learn some basic economics. The price of oil is set in the world market. Neither Libya nor Canada affect it. What is happening is that there has been a rise in uncertainty owing to the disturbances in a significant producing country, and hedgers are buying futures to give them some insurance of possible increases. The futures price and the spot price are connected by the interest rate. The futures price has risen. This has absolutely nothing to do with current production. Now be a good boy and go back to your books.

No. The priests who’ve done so much harm to the Church should be denied communion.

Maybe Edward Peters, adviser to the Vatican’s highest court and professor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, should be less worried about someone like Cuomo than about the Church’s enemies within.

Generally, prices aren’t affected only by hedgers buying futures.

First of all, don’t get sanctimonious with me. I’ve probably forgot more than most of the “knowitalls” on blogs ever knew. Second, did I say anywhere, that I believed this claptrap excuse? No. Thirdly, there is a reason why progressives (or fake ones as the case may be) are thought of in much the same way as politicians–you just showed it. Now if you don’t understand, be a good boy and go back and read your response. And finally, oh thank the Gawds that someone with obviously so much insight and intellect pointed out those rock solid facts for me. Heeyuck. Now I might be able to figur out how to unlock my trailer.
