Ray McGovern beat up by Hillary’s thugs during her speech about free expression.

As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave her speech at George Washington University yesterday, condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression, 71-year-old Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes, brutalized and left bleeding in jail. She never paused speaking. When Secretary Clinton began her speech, Mr. McGovern remained standing silently in the audience and turned his back. Mr. McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing a Veterans for Peace t-shirt.

Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, Mr. McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, “So this is America?”

democracynow: O commissioned a report about democracy movements in ME before the protests, suggesting they were more prepared for what happened in Egypt than they let on.

Geez, they sure fooled me.

Six weeks after his disappearance, the Newark Police finally receive a search warrant to inspect John Wheeler’s home.

They are also offering a $25,000 reward for imformation.

The U.S. shadow government is going to turn itself in for the $25,000 reward.

John Wheeler was a consultant for Mitre Corporation.

More about Mitre.

Because the (9/11) attacks involved systems used by the FAA, NORAD, and the U.S. Air Force, the conspirators would have needed “super user” access to the command and control centers of these three separate organizations.

Super user means the most privileged user on a computerized data system. The super user has complete access to all files on the system. For the previously mentioned agencies, and virtually all other U.S. defense and intelligence organizations, there is one such possible super user: a little-known private not-for-profit organization, based in Bedford, Mass., known as MITRE Corp. MITRE also has a headquarters in McLean, Va., on a campus it shares with Northrop Grumman.

Agree that the whole Wheeler matter stinks. Prolly will find he suicided via gunshot to the back of the head.

Note from a friend in South Dakota about the latest outrage there.

Oh, it is hard to live in a red state. As the article indicates, the far-right legislators are trying to make an end run around the will of the voters (South Dakota has voted down outright bans on abortion several times). Despite the fact that we have to cut EVERYTHING in the state budget by 10% this year because of debt, these guys STILL want to pay state lawyers so that we can be the first state to take an anti-abortion case to the Supreme Court.

This particular law is a bad one, but it probably will get defeated in the legislature. If it does pass, the reasonable people of the state will once again get a petition signed and get it overturned by the people (who, on the whole, are good-hearted, compassionate souls). It’s hard to believe that this IS the state of George McGovern and Tom Daschle, but it is!

I can’t read books when I’m listening to music with lyrics. I can blog while the tv is on, however. But, if I happen to be typing, I usually miss what’s being said. I guess my brain does random tasking. Or something.

Fascinating to read the comments in Greenwald’s own blog from people slamming him for being such as stubborn 9/11 denier in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, while simultaneously providing so much insight into the anthrax hoax.

One of the things that first made me realize that my son was “different” was his ability to seem completely absorbed in some exploratory project but could also repeat almost verbatim conversations that were taking place elsewhere in the room. Different brain wiring. Also, if he hears a song or some dialogue once, it’s in his brain forever. It’s amazing. Oh, and guess what? He “tests” very well.

Morning pups,

Scott Walker disappointed with teachers for opposing him through demonstrating. Talk about separating UW Madison campus from the rest of the UW system. This would potentially allow greater right-wing support and control of the Campus and of course substantially weaken Madison from being the Democratic stronghold in the state.

CapTimes reports that the $140M budget deficit Walker is using as the pretense for union busting is simply the unfunded spending pushed through his January special session last month and otherwise the budget was in fairly good shape.

ae911truth.org–1,440 verified architectural and engineering professionals have signed the petition demanding of Congress a truly independent investigation.

A peer-reviewed paper published in the *Open Chemical Physics Journal* on April 3, 2009 reported that a little known high-tech explosive called nano-thermite was found throughout the World Trade Center dust.

According to a June 2009 statement by Britain’s prestigious Institute of Nanotechnology, the Harrit study “provides indisputable evidence that a highly engineered explosive called nano-thermite was found in the dust of all three buildings that came down on 9/11 2001 in New York city. This advanced explosive incorporating nanotechnology is only available to sophisticated military labs.”

Maybe you should have been more critical eight years ago Colin:

Colin Powell, the US secretary of state at the time of the Iraq invasion, has called on the CIA and Pentagon to explain why they failed to alert him to the unreliability of a key source behind claims of Saddam Hussein’s bio-weapons capability.

A little bit of that kind of doubt may have saved a whole lot of lives. At least you would have gone down in history as a hero instead of as the biggest patsy in the world.
On edit:

“It has been known for several years that the source called Curveball was totally unreliable,” he told the Guardian . “The question should be put to the CIA and the DIA as to why this wasn’t known before the false information was put into the NIE sent to Congress, the president’s state of the union address and my 5 February presentation to the UN.”

Lots of people said that. You and the rest of the Bushies dismissed them as dirty fucking hippies.

That is a poorly written smear of Clinton – the assumption is that she saw something other than a disrupter being removed by police – if she saw that (was in possible view does not mean she “viewed”) and is somehow complicit in what happened to him.

Indeed just what is that authority of the Secretary of State over US police actions?

As a person convinced of “let it happen” – facilitated 9/11 is not too far a stretch.

Indeed the Airforce planes that chased the terrorists into NYC had a 1400 m/hr speed, and almost a half hour (you do the math for 180 miles) of fly time and the pilots said they asked for permission to shoot down but were refuse (they said this to the ground crew on return) but everyone at Otis Airbase was told to not talk the next day – and the Pentagon gave a story to Congress of the “chase” jets running at under 500 m/hr and only had under 20 minutes – and Congress did not challenge. Basically Cheney was contacted and told the planes to back off.

But hard to see how the CIA controlled media – “for patriotic reasons MSM agrees to do as requested” – will ever run with this story.
