A slap fight between Beck and Kristol? Pass the popcorn, please.
What’s the matter BT, don’t you believe in anti-gravity fields? And the tooth fairy?
Good morning all and thanks for the post, BT.
This is by far the most complete take-down of the reagan myth I have seen. Warning! May not be suitable for work. (it is the Rude One)
Yeah, and as part of that Gov Scottdemort is going to create jobs in the state by cutting over 8K jobs:
I don’t necessarily mind the cuts to corrections so much but he’s playing with a bit of fire otherwise
Just read the first of 4 screens of comments on the Olbermann/Current TV thing. Lots of wingnuts dissing KO on there…
‘Morning, pups.
Hey Mod! Just got an auto-email regarding the sight. Can I get an email addy to talk to somebody about it?
Amid all the glowing over the memory of Reagan, here is one tidbit that is never remembered. From a poster at Raw Story:
It would be so nice if he could learn to clearly articulate his feelings… /s!
From the ‘contact us’ page:
Just a coincidence, folks, nothing to see here, move along, move along…
Where are Rick Scott’s priorities? He proposes cutting corporate taxes by a billion dollars despite the fact that they are already among the lowest in the nation and have never been an obstacle to corporations. That adds to Florida’s massive GOP-created deficit that is only going to be able to be paid off with federal aid.
But $6 million for 53 state parks, that’s “waste” that needs to be closed and sold off. Poor residents? They don’t need health care. Unbelievable…

Reading Michael Perino’s The Hellhound of Wall Street. Obama could be mistaken for a clone of Herbert Hoover, exhorting the swindlers to “knock off the short selling.”
Oldnslow, I communicate with them about tech issues here:

Thanks twolf. A little embarassed by my defective brain.
Thank you msmolly.
The second half of the poster’s comment. Also a coinkydink. Move along, move along.
I guess they got tired of funding failure W…”You tell me with whom you go, and I will tell you who you are.” That connection would be such a good story.
OK, but if I were planning a conspiracy, I’d make it a point not to schedule a highly suspicious engagement with a highly suspicious person at a highly suspicious time.
This is covered in chapter 1 of Conspiracy 101, “Not Leaving Obvious Clues.”
Morning BT & Firepups:
Penetrating analysis of the Egypt crisis.
KO to Current TV – with an equity position. That’s going to make it rather difficult to fire him.
Beck and Kristol in a cat fight? Comedy you can believe in.
You have to remember, these same folks successfully pulled of the murder of the 36th president and got off scott free. When you have that kind of success, you’re free to act with as much impunity as you want.
Good Morning BT and Fire Puppies
Oh, that cwazy Glen Beck. He sure is a big cry baby.
FL doesn’t have a monopoly on dumb. WI Governor Scott Walker has cut business taxes, driving up the projected deficit which he may actually be further cooking the projections for, and is pitting the poor and underemployed who are using Badger-care medical services, against state workers by threats to cut their health care and pensions by reducing the amount that the state contributes using fear of the deficit to the future of the state. Tax cuts for the corporations balanced on the backs of the poor and the almost middle class state workers.
What is the CurrentTV thing? And where do you find it? Sorry for the not-knowing….;)
Mornin’, BT, pups
Scott’s agenda may well be just the thing to show Floridians just how fucked up FL Rethugs really are. Time will tell and it ain’t gonna be long.
And GovGoodHair gives his State of the State today…focusing on budget crisis after his campaign on how flush the state has become during his many years. Pants on Fire. He will announce closing a bunch of agencies/cuts in health and children’s services. Nice guy, here.
Here ya go. Some of the cable companies carry it.
S’okay not to know everything. And, it’s good to ask when you have a question. Remember it was my pastor who told me if I’m talking to someone who says they know everything about everything, that they are either a liar or a fool.
The KO story on Current’s website…
Thanks, site says Judge orders Obama to resign in 90 days…didn’t check it out. So much I haven’t heard.;) Morning, Dem…
Airhead Diva criticizes “Airhead Diva.”
I was referring to BT’s link above, “KO to Current TV.”
Site needs some help with design, that’s for sure.
Yeah, I think a lot of folks voted for Scott without a clue as to what he’s about (mainly himself as you know)
That is a wacky shot of the brunette diva. And, what is it they say about people who live in glass houses? I watched the game but must have missed the gaffe. I guess I wasn’t being patriotic enough.
Maybe the plan is to drive the last one or two generations of immigrants back to their native countries. If that happens, who will do the laundry of the folks in the condos?
And probably both.
Thanks…I had not seen it earlier.
I think so too. *g*
I didn’t watch the game, but coverage was all over the radio yesterday…Yuk…
The last line might explain it:
Dunno if this guy is an actual judge. He says he’s “an American in good standing” and apparently he’s a birther. He’s basing his “decision” on reports from FOX “News”. Sounds like a kangaroo court to me.
You should be careful about saying that. Princess Dumbass of the North will want to deport you, too.
I notice Princess Dumbass said, “Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language?
Never mind that Aguilera was born in New York, which is not exactly Tierra del Fuego. (Although I’m sure Palin can see Tierra del Fuego from her front porch. Now, if only she’d go there…)
::applauds::
Hystericallll…Vanity Fair has an article this month (no, January) about Sarah and her trouble with facts….multiple and she doesn’t bother to fix the misinformation. A humorous piece and very funny about her….
Which would you rather have as president?
I saw an article in the St Pete Times that said that there were 82,000 absentee ballots with the governor’s race left blank. Vast majority of absentee ballots are used by Republican voters it also stated, mostly affluent retirees.
It’s from “The Manning Report”, apparently a preacher and a Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh wannabe named James David Manning and now he’s branching off into the illuminati…This guy is no more a judge than I am. We know one thing: Current TV uses misleading headlines that rival HuffPo’s.
Is it online? If so, got any linky?
Gee, a look at the CurrentTV website suggests they’re the equivalent of a supermarket tabloid. I hope not!
I followed the link, but I didn’t see a link to hear the gaffe. Now I’m curious. When the swim is over, I’ll go look for it. Thanks, twolf.
Christina Aguilera in a heartbeat.
Clips were all over the intertoobz yesterday. Not only did she screw the words up her performance was horrendous. Gimme an 8 year old singing it any day.
It depends on where she might send me. I might be willing to go.
The Guardian:
Walker’s staffed the WI DNR with real estate developers and “deficit reducing, cost savings,” are being contemplated by not enforcing, I believe EPA regulations, about disinfecting municipal water supplies. Either he can kill off a bunch of people or get their immune systems toughened up a bit or some fantasy. Turning away $800M for jobs and rail because he claimed the state could not afford future rail maintenance costs, apparently potential mass public health problems won’t cost the state a dime.
I was assuming that it meant that the “article” was just satire and didn’t really happen (like stuff at the onion). But I could be wrong, since Palin is a complete and utter moron and her saying something that stupid is totally believable.
Here ya go.
Poor thing. How embarrassing. It couldn’t have been worse than the Black Eyed Peas, though. Maybe I’m just showing my age, but that didn’t work for me.
It’s hard to tell isn’t it? I love the onion videos. I really do.
I don’t know. I think they do selected article thing, so it may be. I had just picked up the mag, b/c it had a Kennedy story.
Yeah, that’s the impression I got. The headline says “Court Orders Obama to Resign in 90 Days” but the “court” is nothing more than a kangaroo “trial” performed by a bunch of right wing plastic talking heads, (the “prosecutor” is a radio show host), but the headline doesn’t use quotes or any language to convey that it was anything but a duly authorized and appointed court that made that “finding”. If I wanted bullshit disguised as news, I’d read the Onion which at least is funny.
For animal lovers. Of course I don’t want to see anyone hurt, mush less killed but the irony here is just incredible.
Thanks.

That wingnut fight
I know that the temptation for progressives in this epic battle between Kristol and Beck over who’s the dumbest, is to sit on the sidelines and say they’re both right.
But I have to admit that I have to sympathize with Kristol on this one. Here the guy has spent an entire lifetime working diligently to perfect the craftsmanship of exploiting paranoid foreign policy ideas for their political benefit. It’s a schtick he learned from his father, and he preactically has a hereditary right to the title of king of delusions.
But then this upstart comes along, a complete natural at paranoid schizophrenia, who uses none of the care and art a Kristol lavishes on the careful dance of espousing a crazy world-view from an affect of elegant intellectual detachment, but who just projects as an actual schizophrenic whose harangues one might cross the street to avoid — and this upstart walks away with the ratings and leaves the careful crafstman in the shade.
It’s a tragedy worthy of Shakespeare. Well, at least Shaffer, with Kristol’s plodding Salieri to Beck’s brilliant but shallow Mozart. Or you could say it’s like Sarah Bernhardt’s stylized acting being upstaged by the naturalistic Eleanor Duze.
Unfortunately, this is 2011 and the US of A, so there’s no Shakespeare around to give this battle it’s due, nor even a Shaffer. And neither Sarah nor La Duze is available to play either of our heroes.
What we’ve got is Disney. Here’s a brief excerpt from their upcoming claymation Snow White Nation and the Seven Jihadis:
Evil Drama Queen Kristol
“Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who’s the dumbest of them all?”
Magic Mirror(TM) ratings service
“Glenn Beck is still dumbest in the land.
The heart of a pig you hold in your hand.”
Thanks to you too. I don’t think it’s that big a deal, really.
PS: It is not a whole article about Palin, but something about comic news, IIRC. But it does go after her in a funny way.
I won’t be able to get CurrentTV, so hopefully there still will be videos of his show online. After all, I only watched Rachel and KO on MSNBC, and after Comcast went digital I watched them both online. My kids bought me a Roku for my birthday so I can get Rachel (same stream as on my laptop) on my TV. (Don’t tell my kids, but I was perfectly happy getting the streams on my laptop. I guess they can’t imagine anyone not caring a whit about TV.)
Oh, and I can get Netflix movies on the Roku — those available for instant play. Guess that’s something…
It’s so sweet of O to remember us. I’m touched.
The hoo-hah over Christine Aguilera’s rendition of the National Anthem is just more Kabuki Show imo. Yeah yeah, she messed up a few of the words… so effen what? I only saw parts of her singing (as I wandered around the house doing chores). Seemed to me that her singing was heart-felt enough. I could really give a crap whether her singing voice is up to par or not.
It’s clear that Rupert Murdoch was out to grab younger people’s eyeballs to watch the game. The line up of performers both before the game and at halftime are proof of that. Plus the majority of commercials were aimed at the 12 – 32 year old male group, imo.
Whatever… it’s a frackin’ sports game. Get over it (said rhetorically).
Love the bitch-slap fight between Kristol & the Beckerhead, though. w00t!!11!!
