There was lots of discussion of reform in the Senate, too, and the chamber jumped into a vigorous debate on Democratic proposals to change the rules.

Not so much “vigorous debate” rather talking at each other about whether to allow debate. Grandstanding by Pat Robertson, R Sen from RedState, while his fellow goopers hi tailed it to fund raisers and other important business, was not what I or the University of Oxford would call a debate. Oh well change is in the air though it smells suspiciously like a church house creeper.
