By: Brian Sonenstein Monday December 20, 2010 7:15 pm

CNN Poll Shows GOP Won Far Better Deal on Tax Extension

By: Jon Walker Monday December 20, 2010 6:30 pm

Enjoy your cocktail parties and stop hoovering fundage from our community for your mugs and t-shirts with “=” on them.

Continuing Resolutions Make Implementation of Dodd-Frank Nearly Impossible

By: David Dayen Monday December 20, 2010 3:40 pm

The health care bill has to be funded, and with a continuing resolution, that’s not possible. And it’s even worse for the financial reform bill. The SEC and CFTC in particular need to hire a lot more regulators to carry out the promise of Dodd-Frank, but that can’t happen in the short term, and probably not over the long term, either.

Obama Administration Set New Deportation Record to Appease GOP

By: Michael Whitney Monday December 20, 2010 3:00 pm

In an effort to win GOP favor on immigration legislation in Congress, the Obama Administration stepped up ICE deportations of undocumented workers to record levels.
