The Kwanzaa Song – Billy Paul Williams
Happy Kwanzaa to all!
Here’s Kwanzaa’s founder, Dr. Maulana Karenga…
What’s on your mind tonite…?
Zederoonie!
I cheated, though. Back to see the vids.
Fitz, First….I know…Triangulation!Congrats and Aloha, Loo Hoo…! ;-)
Darn you Loo Hoo!! :>
*heh* That would be third, eh…? ;-)
Har..har..dee…har! Besides…that Loo Hoo…cheated!
Well I never!
Hahahaha…I..am…so…slow
Well you never what, M’dear…? ;-)
How’s Ohio tonite…?
I just love insults! Ohio is NOT suffering a snowstorm like the rest of the country. I’m off to work tomorrow (get thee to bed woman!) and MrCE and I are flying to Philadelphia on Tuesday for a week of parental management. Sigh. I wish I was home working.
CT! Pups!
I am done dreaming of a white christmas, i experienced a christmas that was 36″ too white, and the damn stuff is still on my lawn. Now i am dreaming of a green summer.
I found it interesting that Kwanzaa was founded in ’66, like me, and, the Super Bowl…! ;-)
Take heart..the days are now getting longer…it’s a comin’..eventually.
I remember when it started.
Right, and I’ve seen some beautiful sunsets this winter. Can we just hope for spring and other great sunsets?
yes, a few more weeks and i can start seeds under lights in the basement. HURRAY!
evening, CT … firegods
Well, the breeding season for many animals will begin shortly..the birds started singing right after the solstice, and they stop a lot of the singing after the summer solstice, but if one is a hamster..well, they just don’t care what time of year it is.
I’m trying to grow crepe myrtle from seed, and I have one seedling..it is about 1/8th of an inch tall…there were two but..ya know
I’ll send ya some periodic updates on Sunsets… If ya want…? ;-)
Pleasant dreams, CE…!
Aloha, PPD…! You drying out of late…?
Please do … I love your photos!
G’nite Pups.
Night all! Happy Christmas!
just a few drops today, CT — we need more rain. not like southern Cal. They got 26 inches just last week.
Did.Not.Know.That.
Sleep tight, LS and CE…! ;-)
same to you, Chris, and to everyone!
Hi CT, lsls, PPD and all pups.
Hiya margot … night CE
I kid you not, newt…! ;-)
From wiki…
I don’t doubt the timing. It’s origins just seem much more recent.
It took awhile to catch on…! Still even…! ;-)
Sounds like you need to call in John McCain. GET OFF MY LAWN!
The Super Bowl is that new? Thought it was in the Constitution.
heh, yeah, i was thinking that. Cabin fever will definitely get ya screaming at the snow on your lawn.
I remember those Minnesota winters. Actually, I loved them as a kid…got snow days off school!
Also, Christmas lights just aren’t the same when they don’t reflect off snow and ice.
But now, I haven’t got the guts to brave a snowy winter.
LOL!
The ‘National Football League Title Game’ IS in the Constitution.
The ‘SuperBowl’ (talk about the chump-change of naming crap) is, however, in the Tostitos-PepsiCo contract, which explains the teevee, and the gazillions in revenue.
I almost posted this kwanzaa sampler as the lede…! ;-)
Some schools near here have already used up their 3 (3!) calamity days.
And some towns have almost used up their road salt, and budgets are very tight.
I remember only the Budweiser commercials. Must have been in the Preamble.
I’ve forgotten where you are, Margot…Pittsburg? I’m in San Diego County.
Sadly, because of our Budget Calamity here in the Isles… We had 17 furlough days this past school year…! 8-(
Times change.
Used to be that Anheuser-Busch was the chief corporate sponsor not just of the ‘National Football League Title Game’, but also the entire league.
Now it’s Viagra.
Ok, I admit, I’m speculating here.
Well, I always like to remind folks that if they experience blindness or suffer hearing loss after using Cialis, they should contact their doctor.
*Nobody would have thought of it if not for the warnings.*
I’m east of Columbus. We didn’t get the heavy snow the east cost did, this time.
Just a few decorative flakes.
Wow…I didn’t know it was that much.
I’m asking for my amusement only, and no recording of this conversation is being made:
Just who are you consulting with that you would need to offer this timely reminder?
What about if they develop hairy palms…? What then…? ;-)
Commercials between Tweety, Keith and Rachel! That about sums up my commercial television.
Yeah! Never hear about solutions for that, do we?
I should say that I really like Lawrence O’Donnell now too.
I don’t like him yet, but having his ass handed to him by Liberals (no, actual Liberals, not the O’Donnell brand) like Jane Hamsher seems to have made an impression.
Btw, it was an absolutely gorgeous day here in the Isles, today, I did enjoy seeing some snow patches atop Mauna Kea this morn…! ;-)
I’m still leery too… However, his Malawi endeavor is to be much commended…! 8-)
I’ll give him that.
I don’t care whether he’s doing it for the ratings or the conscience or the goodness of…
He’s over a million bucks now. Hard to ignore.
All locally manufactured desks… That is real stimulus any which way…! ;-)
Just seems like Lawrence now has the freedom to speak his mind. Seems like he’s on the right path.
I’ll still reserve judgment, just as I do with Ed too… Still too much Obama-rama with them…! Dylan and Rachel are still my faves tho…! ;-)
Well, I shall bid you gentlefolk a fond adieu for the evening…! I hope to see ya’ll tomorrow nite, same time, same channel…! ;-)
Aloha Oe…! *g*
i’m going to scram, too
nite tuttle, nite you guys
