Bruce Willis — Devil Woman.
What’s on your mind?
Newt how much did you drink during the game? I’m pretty drunk.
hey nonq — how ya doing tonight?
hey newton — how was your day?
hey thatguy — what game?
Not a drop., but then, I did not even turn on the set. I could not bare to do this on a week-night.
Refreshed twice trying to let someone else in here first. A bit tough wading through the grim prior thread.
49ers-Chargers. San diego 34, SF 7. So I’m drunk and I’m not sorry.
some folks like to claim that first comment — others don’t. i was starting to wonder if my non-christmas music choice was the wrong decision and was glad to see a comment :)
Devil Woman if a girl can’t piss you off can a man say that she really knows him? Granted a girl might know you and never get angry at you….but just what are the odds of that happening even in a fundy wet dream?
hey things — how ya doing tonight?
And the Niners disappoint again. I was so sad.
hey kris — how was your day today?
To announce your drinking first excuses spelling and grammar mistakes :)
Cool choice, Suz. I didn’t know Willis could sing & play harmonica.
thanks jim — i knew he did some music but thought he was a dabbler… he forking rocks on that harmonica. how was your day today?
Surprising track tonight.
It was actually delightful! Wife will be home from work in about an hour and we’re going to play board games. I’m stoked.
How about you?
It was wonderful. Great weather and great views.
Thinking about Death Curses the lake does not explore the mystic side of man much everything is logic without feeling and past feeling is the wonderful/mystic/dark of the Night we fear, we don’t understand it but its there.
Cortez and Columbus never profited like they thought they would killing mine.
just didn’t feel right having a christmas tune tonight… so i went with some blues
Trying to catch up on the year end bookkeeping. Paid my property taxes at the county office. Loads of excitement./s
Been finding time for simple cooking and baked some simple whole wheat bread today. Temps around two degrees overnight. Kind of in hibernation mode.
been one of those comedy of errors days… but dayam near behind me now. tis a chilly 39 outside but no rain and no wind
Hey Pups! Just in for a moment, and how are you all? Suzanne, any word from Cassie now that the semester is done?
Anything non-christmas is great with me. They even had it playing in the grocery store today, bah-humbug.
brrrrr with temps like that i’d be hibernating too
Rain here in the Bay Area but mid 40s.
Politically it’s been a terrible day. I’m trying not to think about it. Like work, I try to leave that shit behind me when I come home.
hey ce — how’s ohio tonight? i’ve been checking her blog but not seen anything new
a day to crank it up and let the music take ya away
hey ppd — how ya doing tonight?
Just hoping that she is happy. So many years waiting to get to the promised land.
God rest ye merry gentelmen seems more like a prayer to rest the Merry Gentlemen let nothing them dismay.
The Furies were often called the kindly ones why I have no clue but female goddesses often had male counterparts Baal
Baʿal, (bāʾ-ʿayn-lām), is a Semitic word signifying “The Lord, master, owner (male), keeper, husband”. Cognates include Standard Hebrew (Bet-Ayin-Lamed; בַּעַל / בָּעַל, Báʕal, Akkadian Bēl and Arabic بعل. The feminine form is Baʕalat (Hebrew בַּעֲלָה Baʕalah, Arabic بعلـة baʕalah) signifying “lady, mistress, owner (female), wife”.
Despite the Arabic had no name besides husband Asherah had an actual name.
me too. seems like a dream that she made it into princeton.
Right. I never wanted Ivy League for my children — too afraid for the competitive atmosphere. Too many failures.
Yes what has the Snark been doing college is hard she must be under a lot of pressure with all our hopes on her still graduate don’t graduate that kid I’ m proud of on the smart stuff I feel like I helped raise her and I know I/WE did good on that score.
Whatever she does she has our best wishes:)
james and joni
Too many Bushies to call failure a real failure :) I know many community college Grads better than Bush.
Jon Stewart did an excellent show tonight on the 9/11 first responders and how the media in general is carefully avoiding the subject. After all, to show that the Republicans are 100% to blame for messing over 9/11 heroes for partisan gain just wouldn’t be balanced.
Arrrgh, just my college years, yes!
hey rich — how ya doing tonight? i’m looking forward to watching it when it airs in 30 here on the west coast.
Yes! Thank you rich!
I know I have a harmonica around here somewhere….
Dude don’t spoil DS for Suz its the Prime Directive on Late Late Nite kind of like don’t change history when you time travel on Star Trek:)
hey margot — how ya doing tonight?
dood, he wasn’t giving a spoiler but a heads up to watch it….
Cassy still have a web site up maybe we can all visit and give her a Christmas Greeting?
Just warning him Suz I don’t want it wrecked for you.
Awesome video, where have I seen this before?
hey busted…. hat tip to busted for the video
Just watched the vid. At least Bruce is more talented than Bristol.
Devil In Disguise, Pickin!
5 greats . . . Doyle on mando, Flux on dobro, Tony on git and lead vocals. JD Crow on 5 string. N a bass player n fiddle great, likely either Bobby Hicks on fiddle or Vassar. Likely, Bobby Hicks . . . uyep, that’s Bobby Hicks on fiddle, one of the GREATEST ever on bluegrass fiddle . .
great, thanks, how about you?
I’ve had to take a mini-news-vacation. Getting very good at cryptoquotes.
I have doorknobs that are more talented than Bristol. They put out less, too.
hey et — how was your day today?
hey larue — how’s sac tonight?
But as I understand it, the 49ers could STILL make the playoffs, even with 9 losses.
hey mauimom — how’s your island — or are you in dc now?
Who knew my favorite action hero could wail on a mouth organ like a crazed Banshee?
It is a great tune and I bet I have watched it twenty times at a minimum.
Smooch Suze, you know I love ya and I just busted a gut laughing when I saw this and had to give ya a little poke.
Good stuff is good stuff.
It’s not often I can get one on ya.
Sadly, yes. If they win out they will tie with the Rams (assuming the Rams lose this weekend and win next), and finish with a 5-1 division record, holding the tie-break against St. Louis.
And they’d get home field advantage against a wild card team.
thanks honey — and thank you for the tune. don’t forget that i poke back bwahahaha :)
Pandora just gave me Cream, Sunshine of Your Love, live from BBC Broadcast Sessions.
I’m in heaven.
And followed it up with Bohemian Rhapsody. I’m on a roll!
Same lineup . . . doin a Jim Croce song, Age (they got the name all wrong).
God I love them guys. And Tony Rice, when he could sang . . . bless him so.
One of the greatest voices in blue/new grass in his time, and the git picker for Grisman’s Quintet, too. Swing Gypsy.
Tony Rice . . . a god.
Mixed. ETette has landed an internship on Catalina Island right after her 2nd year with AmeriCorps ends in January. Ecological restoration with a top team. She’s pumped.
Between jury duty stuff and board meetings and interviews to select a new executive director of a local non-profit this week, I didn’t get much of a first week off from teaching.
43F. 6 days of rain a comin, Pineapple’s Galore!
N we got ‘maters still a bloomin . . . go figger!
yay and yuck. i’ll be glad when this week is behind us — its been a pisser for sure
la nina stopping by to say howdy
If it ain’t Butterfield, Musslewhite, McGee, Sonny Boy, or such it must suck . . .
Nope, still here. Leave Monday afternoon. Fly first to SF, then overnight to IAD.
A bit cool tonight. We went to an outdoor restaurant that just opened; had pizza. It was nice. [Here, if it's 60 degrees, people think it's freezing and break out the sweaters.]
The wind is slowing down. Blowing 20 now, 15 above F.
Yep! Maybe to YOU, too!
N Busted . . . *G*
my mom’s in az and does the same thing when it gets into the 60s
Yeah, OK bud. Who knew that not only can Bruce Willis play a mean harmonica, he can actually sing? It weren’t me, I stumbled on this video on Youtube and kinda went, Holy shit!
is that pretty typical for this time of year?
There is no typical winter in Wasilla. But it seems about right.
Being on slow connect, I am able to either refresh the page or bookmark the tunes for later download I appreciate the selections everyone puts up.
Rick Estrin is a Sacto native . . . he sat in with Dave Bromberg when Bromberg came thru Sacto a few years back . . . seems Rick wrote one of Dave’s fave songs . . . . forget which one.
But it was grand, in a small 200 seat club . . . *G*
Are they filming Sarah’s terrible show in or around Wasilla?
when i was on dialup, i used to play the tunes the next day after opening them just before i went to bed to download the stream overnight.
Dang, I’m headed to your island Tuesday.
Does anyone here know about how you can put up an xtranormal animated video?
sweet.. i used to have a beau who was a huge little charlie fan and had seen dayam near every show they did in the sf bay area
i thought they disbanded — good to hear rick is still doing music
OK, Merry Christmas to all my Firepup friends, Happy Holidays, you know what I mean.
Oh, the Bruce vid! You’ve shown me that . . .
Yeah, that DON’T suck for a white guy not named Butterfield or Musselwhite.
g’nite honey *smooches and pinches to ng*
are you asking how to upload to utube or how to embed a video in a myfdl diary or?
ET, I was talking with my friend in Fairbanks this afternoon. He says that he’s awaiting the “shortest day of the year,” during which they get fewer than 4 hours of sunlight.
Well. Lil Charlie retired . . . n that was after the Bromberg show we saw in oh, ’05 or so.
N Rick Estrin is still giggin I think, with the other two . . . . and more.
But Bromberg invited Rick up from the audience . . . n they did a few tunes.
Total honor and more from Bromberg to Estrin, total respect.
Great showmanship, too, on the part of Bromberg.
What fun that show was!
Where will you be staying, and how long will you be here.
Be sure to spend lots of money.
The whales are here, so it should be fun to see them.
Yes and thanks, I do.
I just went to their site, which is what I should have done before asking the question. Sorry.
I don’t know if anyone in Alaska has yet used this remarkable comedy/truth tool. Trying to figure out what scenario to create first.
I gotta go . . . nite Suz, Pups . . . thanks to all for being a friend . . .
So! How bout that 111th Congress huh? Can they officially go down in history as the Fightin’ 111th?
and happy lucky 100 larue!!!
More like going down in flames than in history…
We’ll get about 6.5 hours of sunlight that day. Not to be confused with daylight. We’ll get about 10 of those. The sun doesn’t get up very high when it is up, but before sunrise and after sunset it skates along the lower edge of the horizon for a long time. Not like a sunset/sunrise in Ecuador.
A childhood friend lives in Alaska, she describes her political views as “Constitutionalist.”
ohmygod, the daily show is standing up for those the senate is fucking
aww, come on. They postured quite nicely!
For an hour or two…
We’ll be on the west side of the island and head back home on the 28th. We are looking forward to the whales.
LOL I hear that a lot. “Constitutionalist” was Joe Miller’s middle name. Do you know what she meant?
I might look at that. The way that the responders were treated has something to tell us about how the government will handle (or not) the workers who go sick from being around the corexit.
The EPA didn’t monitor correctly for the chemical in New Orleans and did the monitoring away from where the workers were at (the monitoring was in land)
The EPA was told to lie about the air at Ground Zero
I was trying to make those connections when I was doing my research on the exposure to workers. In the case of Ground Zero we know that it was Condi’s office that was telling the EPA what to say. In the case of the EPA in BP we don’t know for sure that they were not monitoring for the correct stuff on purpose, but because of the way that the rules are structured, BP was able to keep the EPA from monitoring the air in the location where most of the Corexit was spread. Also they gamed the EPA process for the toxicity of the dispersant. Even when the EPA said to stop they just ignored them. That one always just blows my mind.
“Stop using Corexit!” Says EPA.
“No.” says BP
“Okay.” says EPA.
Predictable, they’ve been following our, ‘leader,’ for two years.
Wait, we have a leader?
hey spocko — how was your day?
If you need anything while in SF in layover drop me a line.
I believe you have my email.
If you decide to take a trip to the Iao Valley [back up in the direction of the airport, then west], there’s an interesting restaurant in Wailuku called the Main Street Bistro. A friend of ours owns it.
There’s a Costco right near the airport that has excellent prices on [large quantities] of macadamia nuts, coffee, Hershey’s kisses with macs in the middle, other tourist items.
And they have “Maui Gold” pineapples [$3/each] that are better than any pineapple you will ever have. You CAN take pineapples back to the Mainland; most other fruits/veggies are prohibited.
For more info/tips, e-mail me at AOL dot com.
holy moly, jon stewart went after those who refuse to help the 911 first responders… wow
I understand that spraying dispersant is still continuing after dark. Sorry, cannot provide a link but I think I am recalling a recent NPR revisit to the gulf extended radio show.
Has the bin Laudin family ever been sued over 9/11 successfully?
Thanks, much appreciated.
Congrats to ETette! I now have “The Island of Romance” song in my head.
I remember flying over it on the way to SF. It looks interesting. One of the most interesting time travel books I ever read took place there. Time On My Hands
The book is about a guy who travels back into time to stop Ronald Reagan from becoming President. It’s really an amazing book because it traces a lot of our current problems to Reagan becoming President. The guy figures that if only Reagan had a better movie career he wouldn’t have gone into politics. It’s very interesting about how Reagan’s was influenced by various ideas.
damn Suz, and all .. what great tunes .. it took me 40 minutes to reach the end .. and anyone who is a Bromberg fan is a friend of mine .. have loved that guy forever .. just too bad Mr Willis is a Repug .. damn ..
I don’t, not really. Some guy ran here on that ticket and I heard he was ultra-conservative.
glad you are liking the music tonight
how blue can you get?
The interview also covered a resident whose oyster beds were trashed by the sand berms that were supposed to save the wetlands…they were first partially covered and now the berms are washing away and slowly destroying the rest of his and neighboring beds.
Sounds like you’re staying in Ka’anapali. One of the hotels there [Westin, I think] has a program whereby you go up to the roof and an astronomer directs you in looking at several high-powered telescopes at the planets. It was really neat. [There is a charge for it, however. But we felt it was worth it.]
I love the plot:
While in Paris, Gabriel Prince, a somewhat jaded but charming writer of high-end travel guides, is offered the chance of a lifetime — a trip through time. There’s only one hitch: the left-wing owner of the time machine, quantum physicist Jasper Hudnut, wants Gabriel to perform an errand. Gabriel must go back to pre-World War II Hollywood — a time when Howard Hawks was in his prime and Humphrey Bogart was still waiting for his break — and somehow derail a young contract actor named Ronald “Dutch” Reagan from his track to the Oval Office.
you may have just solved a Christmas present dilemma. Gracias.
i remember reading something today about some report that shows those fucking berms didn’t trap any fucking oil
Day676/Dec1st/Wednesday: The White House hosted a holiday reception for the volunteers who worked over the Thanksgiving break to put up decorations. The volunteers were served a seafood bar that highlighted Gulf of Mexico shrimp and Florida stone crabs. About 2,000 lbs of shrimp and crabs from the Gulf was shipped to the White House for 2010 holiday parties.
Today I watched a stunning video. I wrote a post about it. Unemployed Man Shoots at School Board That Fired His Wife
It isn’t something to watch right now because it is very chilling.
I posted it because I’m such a strong advocate against using violence. The right wing loves to talk tough because they think violence works. It doesn’t.
I think that the American right’s love of violence is related to the threat of violence because actual violence usually backfires. And I want to nail them for their threats of violence.
hey robert — how was your day?
what’s so sad is that the why of what he did won’t be discussed — only his final decision… that is, until the next bright shiny thong of a distraction comes along
Putting the finishing touches on my 46th Obama Chronicles for OpedNews. Noticed the discussion of Gulf disaster.
Secretary of the Interior Salazar is also promoting tons of Gulf seafood be sent to troops in Iraq for mighty fine good eating, too.
oh good lard… what, he doesn’t think they are taking enough risks already? judas fucking priest
That’s correct from what I’ve discerned.
Hey robert, sounds yummy. I asked the seafood guy at the store today if the free cooked shrimp samples on the platter were from the gulf and nobody at the store knew. They said nobody ever asked them, before.
Spocko, have you read Blackout and All Clear? Time travel involved. (In the plots, not in reading them. Well, at least not that I’ve noticed.)
It is pathetic to see this white asshole try to adopt/ steal/ or otherwise absconde in general, with a style that is totally not his.
I have 0 tollerance for these shits. Well some, but not from guys like that, and he is a pretty good actor, so he don’t need to go out and do this stuff, not like he has any musical talent. He sucks, and sucks all the more for trying to rip off a black owned: blues style, I hate to see that. Let that jack ass go and make a living on the street, where those guys did that.
Decoration volunteers and soldiers. I want to see Salazar sit down to and eat a plateful of Gulf cuisine…
Excellent! It really is a unique book because of it’s focus on Reagan. So many time travel books go into the whole “stop Kennedy from being killed” or “stop Hitler from raising” but they don’t look at other critical focal points.
What if you fixed the butterfly ballet maker if some other glitch would pop up with Gore v. Bush. (BTW, I have a sliver coin I bought during the counting. On one side it has President Bush on the other President Gore. I like to keep it around for coin tosses and when I’m living in my parallel universe. The one where I don’t have a goatee. In this one I have a goatee, so that tells you which one is the evil universe.
hey geoshmoe — how was your day today?
Well, the House passed Obama’s give more millions to billionaires and let the rest eat cake tax bill. Obama only needs to sign it now.
Yeah, I’m noticing that story falling off the radar really quickly. Makes good Prison Industry food, also. Keeps the market from hitting a vacuum as purveyors find alternative sources. Or so the smart white guys say.
So, it’s all good………..ahhhh
hey opehope — how’s the sound tonight?
Hey, Suz, I’m rocking to your song selection. Thank you!! I had no idea Bruce Willis could play/sing like that.
Makes more sense to me than anything I’ve heard all week, spocko.
The Sound is quite tonight. Even the owls are taking a break.
Whatcho singin’, Willis?
glad ya liked it openhope — busted found it first and shared it with me — tonight felt like a good night to share it here
Suz and everyone, thanks for your fine company and thoughts.
Later today I am trying a small batch of sauerkraut in a ten gallon crock. Have a few cabbages, salt etc. I imagine the pols will be jabbering about the House vote so I want to do something constructive and healthy.
I may or may not tune in the radio. Peace and be well.
i gotta scoot early tonight — the season finale of burn notice is being aired in 5 minutes and i don’t wanna miss it. thanks for all the music and conversation tonight and for letting me hang out with ya.
don’t let my leaving kill the thread — lurk’s partial to dark chocolate, pecans, and pencils tossed into the ceiling yanno
Well this shrimps stuff is driving me craz. But I’m going to bed and think about how to have a financial impact on right wing media.
Yeah, I love it!
Connie’s books are great. I have read black out but not all clear.
I love Doomsday Book a lot.
There’s a party I’m glad I missed.
Great minds think alike. I’ve got 10# of organic apples I’m dehydrating tomorrow with the same game plan. Somehow it feels better listening to this treason with busy hands.
Gotta clean my shop.
I’m a Foodie, used to have to track food trends/PR for work. There’s a very interesting sub-current going on with Gulf Seafood, imo. Not always labeled as Gulf.” Wild Caught,USA ” makes for gorgeous food propaganda.
It’s a fucking evil thing they’re doing.
I can never remember all the good books people recommend…will try to recall that one.
my goodness .. me, you and Mr B some weekend in upper New York state if the man is still doing his thing .. I will bring a bottle of tequila and fall off the wagon .. *laughs his butt off* .. thanks Suz .. your ecletic taste is like a fine. smooth scotch or wine to the mind ..
No I’m not too much in a bad mood today, I did go off a little there as for how I don’t like it that white performers, so often have “beefed up” their careers by going…. / or let’s say taking on, black idioms, and styles, that really are not something that fits with who they are, though some of the stupid may not immediately get that… I get it, and the many blacks that were astute to things, that I once knew, in my urban envirenment, where we were thrown together, in a work world, which none of us disliked to be in. We would agree to dissagree, but we got along to get along, and so on.
Let bruce make another movie, he is good. He isn’t a blues performer, I can’t see why he tries to put on that hoax. Especially when he has it kikked, and could go and create a whole new genre, on his own dime… or that he could put his fortune and name and talent to something that might be a new thing, so I’m not impressed with the blues crap there, and thanks for responding, I am in a bad mood, but it will get better.
Suz I’m, not that old

House Passes Tax Deal 277-148, Sending Bill To President
First Posted: 12-17-10 12:17 AM | Updated: 12-17-10 01:24 AM
When has the House ever worked this late EVER I’m only 40 this was done after midnight? I can’t wait for Jane to unleash the snark but my big question is do I stay in America if I get a chance to leave? The Family left Mexico over this shit.
I for one do not believe there should be any limits on who can play what .. if the music moves you to play it, then play it .. if it soothes the inner demon, then play the shite out of it, and if it frees you from being the biggest asshole on the planet, then embrace it and make it one with you .. no place in music for race or colour .. Willis .. :)
come north to Canada man .. I got an extra snow shovel .. *grin*
Got a job general labor being smart don’t pay and yes I can shovel snow, skate on ice etc:)
I’m just happy to see people play music. Why can’t we just have a universal-group-hunch -tribal music thing once in awhile? We’re always going to go back to hating on each other, anyway. Also. Maybe.
Ha ha .. good to hear .. any job is a good job .. be well now .. :)
Totally agree .. music is universal .. otherwise only Jews get to play Gershwin and Springsteen?? .. Mexicans play Montoya and I am stuck with Harry Lauder? .. ROFL ..
Bruce is a GOPer he might as well sing with Catholic Choir boys that have been molested and try and claim he knew nothing.
There is no excuse to be GOP and claim your not racist. Not since Pat Buchanan wrote Reagan’s I’m a contra too! speech while Reagan trained death squads were killing American Nuns in South America.
Pats Catholic just what does a Republican have to do to be Excommunicted any Catholic Scholars here the church law legal wrangling is beyound my expertise.
Oh,man. The only jobs here are for drawing blood at the clinics. They offer health insurance and will train. fuucckk
I’m trying to get up the courage to inquire.
I learned how to kill chickens this year. Maybe I could do this. Guess thinking outside the box wasn’t what I thought it would be. :}
We need to Dance as a group build community bonds :)
Kill birds fine stick a needle in a person well maybe I can go back to crime.
This Mexican likes blues, metal, punk alternative etc everything but modern country Rap or popular radio played Spanish music.
Small vein people sticking them is the problem. You have to poke. I gave blood before lots of times exercise makes big veins thankfully. Still I can’t move to Seattle on that job.
But Thanks for thinking of me:) OpenHope
Yeah, I’m struggling with the concept. I’m too old for crime.
On the bright side, I know all the Tea Baggers in town. I could smile at them behind my germ mask and make them
regret they ever thought going in for tests was a good idea.
Dood. It’s a horrible economy, but I’d love to see you much better employed.
So, like, when can we expect to get beyone this crap> When>??
And there he goes, trying to steal their musical styles, something the youngsters above don’t have any clue about.
I forgot that he was a GOPer, *g*, (did I use that right?) I could have said.. * Gadf’nDamit* (Priveledged ahole)
I know how music is a language, and how it should ideally be free, and use all/ or what ever is available for what you need to summon up to… make up a tune, I sometime find myself humming to Rachmaninov, which is too far out.
Wicked Girl I like your Style:)
Wigwam I think another bank bailout is coming the banks books are funny until that happens only a fool would invest in America. Give me a country where I can trust the bank auditors and I’ll invest there:)
I understand what you’re saying, I think.
But, sometimes music is just music. I’m lucky to live in a community where jamming is a part of social life and hiring a kickass band is part of fundraising.
We all need art.
I agree anyone should play music I grew up in the burbs a live band was white or I heard taped crap. I like live music to dance but yes if you hate the people who made the music originally singing their stuff seems icky its a PC way to say I’m not a racist.
Danny Glover is twice the size of Mel Gibson I’m not that much bigger than Mel but I would have hit him if Mel told me his crazy Catholic pre vatican 2 ideas.
Not sure who the “youngsters” are there .. I am as old as dirt, and twice as downtrodden .. but music can lift even the lowest of souls and as the Jews in all the camps learned .. none cane ever take your soul .. as the slaves thru generations going back long before America learned .. and the slaves that exist all around us know, but are unable to articulate .. why they all know that you can cut out my tongue but that will never stop my song .. *wanders off humming Stormy Weather and grinning**
40 thats my age
Nite OP your a favorite of mine:)
I turn 61 come Monday, and fight off my inner sadness daily about where America has gone .. I live in Canada .. but I know that it is folks like you, who come here, that can make the change eventually ..we are like the tail of a wagging dog .. but so many of us are kindred to you and feel your pain .. even anguish .. I know its ineviatable that someone will throw the “walk a mile in my shoes” axiom .. but shoes are a two-way street after all ..
I can take a soul I can make you greedy and tell you all the things in the world are yours just as long as the poor don’t get unemployment checks. I can tell you its not you fault you don’t have healthcare its all the illegal Mexicans who only get healthcare in the emergency room’ fault never mind they pay more in taxes than they ever get cause they don’t get Social Security.
NeecI go on I can show you terror in a handfull of Dust/Lies Lies I can weave and only the Snarky can see through them:)
Whats thaat saying about Mexico Poor Mexico so far from God so close to the United States? America seems to want to be Mexico now where only the rich have rights.:( Going for a smoke I maybe back later but good talk and if in this economy I disappear from FDL watch OP for me good heart but cares gets hurt too much.
I am sure you can .. I remain full of hope because we who care can come together thru this medium and share our caring and passion and understanding .. the movie “Fear in a Handful of Dust” strikes a chord .. I would never question what anyone feels .. I only question what the best way is to deal with our realities .. I DO know we are stronger thru common sharing than we are in isolation ..
*gives a warm. fatherly hug and smiles* .. be well, and quit smoking ASAP .. :)
Ok just don’t buy it when the white guy performs in that style, or let’s say to takes the part of the style, that is unique, which is known to be distinct, and is African-American, and really in my take of it, he just works out the little nuances of style, delivery, probably attempts to get the throaty tones, and ideosycncracies, that pertain to what is that experience, and really, that is not music, that is mimicry, so just sayin’.
And we will remember the great Saint Elvis lifted black music, and gave it legs in the 50′s. Or more recent M’m, what a laugh… Of course the music does expand because of that, but it isn’t too authentic, IMHO. muhaloe…
PS: make some good music, with out all the copy cat , I know asking quite a bit.
