What is it with Democrats using their own base, and even union members’ own money, to attack workers? Not only is President Obama trying to use Organizing For America’s vast e-mail list to gin up support for freezing the salaries of government employees, but NY Governor-Elect Andrew Cuomo might actually use union money to attack unions:
Last week, Andrew Cuomo announced that he was prepared to spend the $4 million left in his campaign warchest—and raise more, if necessary—to push back against the unions and other special interests who may oppose his agenda when he takes over as governor.
(…)
Cuomo raised about $33 million for his campaign, with the first dollars coming in not long after he was elected attorney general in 2006. Of that, about $1.7 million came directly from unions and union political action committees, in addition to other money that was donated by individual unions or lobbyists associated with unions.
I’m not sure which is worse: Having your own contributions used against you, or getting an e-mail from OFA exhorting you to write your local newspaper about how awesome your pay freeze is. It’s like Cuomo and Obama have adopted the DecorMyEyes approach to base-building.
Not that this is entirely a surprise in either case. Cuomo went hard after the unions two weeks before the election, while Obama cynically held EFCA hostage for months to keep labor on board with his increasingly crappy health care reform bill, then let it die after he got what he wanted.
Where progressive politicians would see loyal friends and allies, Cuomo and Obama see only scapegoats, suckers, and low-hanging budget fruit.

ELI!
Obama’s and Cuomo’s disrespect for me and the base nowhere near match my loathing for them and their tactics.
KELLY!
Yeah, tell me about it. The “We Suck Less” campaign message is going to be less and less effective as it becomes less and less true.
If brevity and accuracy is the intent, ‘We Suck.’ will do nicely.
So what. Is our unions learning?
They’re both fucking elitists — in the very worst sense of the word — who seek to get their tongues as far up the ass of other elitists as they can.
If your message is going to be “We Suck Less Than the Other Guys”, it helps if you actually suck less than the other guys.
ELI!
Shorter Democrats:
“The rich got us into this mess and it’s incumbent upon us all, (except the rich) to sacrifice in order for the rich to remain in the driver’s seat so they can keep fleecing us. It’s the bipasrtisany thing to do”!
NOT that it was ever very effective or very true….
Crap, crap, and more crap.
There is truly no more to say about these animals, these animals, these animals . . . . .
MARGARET!
Yeah, that sounds an awful lot like the Republicans, except the Republicans say “jobs” and “small businesses” instead of “profits” and “filthy rich elites”.
Not a day goes by that the former Obamabots at the orange Satan don’t become less able and less willing to defend the guy. Even establishment Democrats have more intellectual honesty than the most “moderate” Republicans.
Eli it’s maddeningly saddening to read this, and to read about the new AP poll that SWEARS 56% of those polled want to cut fed services to balance the budget as part of reducing our deficits.
I Don’t Buy This Propaganda!
LeSigh . . . Merlot, anyone?
Kelly is such a hoss, gets all the top shelf martooni’s made any way he wants, even if it IS a school night . . .
Rock on Kelly . . . DADT is getting a LOT of noise today . . . lots of noise, with the new survey released . . .
There’s something to be wry, grim and thin lipped delightful about that, ain’t there . . .

Lo 50′s day and 30′s nite past week here, you folks got it balmy in yer hood.
*G*
good
now to the important stuff, does kitty like her new food?
We used to be talking politics.
Politics is about competing interests.
I’m not sure what it is we’re talking about now.
Is that a question or a declaration?
*G*
I don’t see the suckage referent.
By Dawg’s Own Paw, I do believe we have the makin’s of a suckity thread!?!?!?

She seems to. Thanks again. :)
Heh.

There are times when yer poignant and yer brevity astounds.
This is one of them.

my guys and gals love it.is the place far from your house?
Suckage is as suckage does . . .
New kitty cat?
Margaret, do you have pictures? I need a dose o’ teh cute.
In contrast to the GOP – who never show they are not anti-union, the Dems always feel they need to show they are not anti-business.
The reason is that it is the Dems that scare folks about losing the chance to buy a lottery ticket in the game “get rich” – the GOP define that game.
So it is logical to show your love of business – esp. “small business”.
But I fail to see what is gained by dumping on unions, or indeed what is gain by not being visibly pro-union. The Dems already have the label – and they need the unions.
Seems like stupid politics caused by an ego that may well destroy his administration – indeed the same problem affects Obama – and for Obama toss in the need to get a therapist for Obama for him to deal with the history of two Dads quiting on him, causing this ridiculous need to give in to the other side in order that there be no conflict in the home – and being a Democrat these days is not easy.
tonite is very depressing
We seem to have gone from “I can’t believe this” to “this is getting really dangerous.” I feel as if I’m in a dream or something. Never imagined this happening to our country.
me too,the news this week is dispiriting
Unions need to take their money elsewhere. How insulting that some groups can buy power and some groups don’t even get that respect.
BHO is the hope killer
Not too far. Maybe 12 miles. Just down the highway from my vet
By dawg’s own bad breath if I had a dime for every time I said that I’d be . . .
Uh, wait . . . I AM that bad off!
Always love yer musings Margaret . . . always.
Thank you for all of them . . .
We expect to see the Republicans doing everything they can to destroy unions, gay rights, environment and Social Security while defending wealthy and business interests and torture, but it’s really hard to take when Democrats are doing it.
And they do it so clumsily that they actually let the GOP outflank them as the populist party.
It didn’t used to take a progressive Democrat to at least not completely spit in the face of base. This is really demoralizing. What Democrats gain by quashing unions I have know idea. I do know these jerks ran around in 2008 swearing allegiance to EFCA and now look at them. Really, these are not even 1990′s Democrats. I don’t know who these people are.
Well, I hear little Cuomo wants to be prez, so wadaya expect? Trashing D voters & supporters is all the rage with Ds.
1 dose teh cute

Getting Democrats elected… Millions of dollars and thousands of hours.
Democrats telling you to go fuck yourself… Priceless.
eggszelent,she keeps eating,ill keep sending………g
Agreed. It is dangerous, and it’s not just this country. Look at Europe. This push for austerity didn’t just happen by accident. Very wealthy people are really pushing us into something new. It’s scary.
First, unions need to support working peeps, something they have done for decades.
They never use the suck word, except when toes are tapping in airport stalls . . .
Uh, I AM talking about GOP . . .
I mean, if they were HONEST cretins . . . like the rest of us . . . suck would be just another 4 letter word for a folk song . . .
I love the GOP and their 23% . . . gives me a reason to live yet another day to fuck with ‘em and their followers . . .
But as a proggy, I have to add the fight is with corporate fascism . .
This IS a fun diversion, Eli . . .
*G*
Yesterday and today for me was a watershed. BHO went full praying mantis. The Rs are now doing him doggy style with their fingers in his nose from over his forehead and pulling him back — his arms flailing.
That’s what I said when Reagan was elected.
Ohhhhh…that’s the stuff. Cute little furry thing.
Actually, it’s something old. Feudalism. Complete with cell phones and private jets.
Astute . .
But hey, we’re superior life forms on this rock so far, I guess, we adapt?
*G*
Democrats do that to unions because the unions let ‘em. Democrats spit on the base because we let ‘em.
Have another . . . it’s been cold and ugly out there.
N then get to bed if it IS a school night . . . ;-)
And of course the Progressives will come home. It’s the conventional wisdom and it must be right. After all, it’s got “wisdom” in it.
OMG!!!!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

the teh stooopit
In yesterday’s WaPo post, the embedded video shows what Federal employees think: “Obama announces 2-year pay freeze for federal workers” (the Washington Post, Nov. 29, 2010, Posted at 10:20 AM ET, 11/29/2010, link: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/federal-eye/2010/11/obama_announces_pay_freeze_for.html )
Hmm . . . here in the thread?
Or what?
Yer usually pretty upbeat . .
could have not said it better!
democrats needs to fear biting the hands that get them elected
this is why progressives must organize
If Cuomo feared being attacked from his base, he would play nice.
LOL. Probably be a while. I just have the one cat.
What would teabaggers do if they gave huge sums of money and countless hours of labor to elect R’s and then got the shaft?
M’eh. There’ll be ten editorials over the next week in WaPo about how Shadegg was spot on.
DecorMyEyes seems to have a valid business model, if optimization and not customer satisfaction is the goal. Do we know if this guy consults with the DNC? Seems like he might…
What issue are you speaking of? Or which one’s?
Now YER down too . . .
My turn to boost and smile . . .
Yer always upbeat, too . . . need a shoulder or hand?
Or just a good top shelf martooni?
insane family that mimics the insane country
Rouse is still interim, right? Borker would make a perfect replacement for Rahm.

we need her fat and sassy, well just sassy
Ya know, Margaret. I think the Ds have finally gone OTT or ATB (around the bend) and libruls might be finally catching on.
But I could be dreaming, cuz I still get warnings from my less aware librul friends about being too ‘hard’ on O, or how ‘it’s the best O can do.’ I’ve often typed that Ds are too dumb to live, but I meant that to apply to D pols. Now I wonder if it doesn’t also apply to librul voters. They seem very reluctant to smell the coffee (or insert your fave awareness cliche).
I do get depressed about this entire thing. I also get very angry. I’ll have a Jack Daniels – straight up, please.
I still get them too but they are increasingly feeble and decreasingly common.
The next two years are going to be interesting. The evil capitalists will be trying to snag anything that isn’t nailed down. You think the lib-bloggers like ex-CIA agent Kosman Kos or Digby or Escatoid are going to stab their Dear Leader in the back? Think again. With Soc Security eviscerated and unemployment at 20% these lib-bloggers will beg and plead for the lumpen progs to vote for the wonderful messiah, Obama.
You know it, and I know it. Chris Hedges is right. The liberal class is dead.
Evidence?
Not sayin’ he wouldn’t; just askin’ why you would assert that. After all, O’s been attacked from his base and his response was FU.
If the unions hadn’t purged the communists and socialists in the 40′s and 50′s the unions would have a fighting spirit. Instead they have become the door mats of the plutocrats. Where’s Harry Bridges when you need him?
tru dat,no passion
FWIW, OFA were Atrios’ Wankers Of The Day.
There have been millions more like him before.
They always are bought and aid for by the bad guys.
They always do the bad guy’s bidding.
This is no new in the history of the species.
And BHO is not the problem, he’s just the present figure head.
It’s class war.
Rich v the rest of us.
BHO is just their pawn.
FIGHT the bad guys, not their pawns.
IMHO, part of the reason is when Ds hear from their base, it goes something like this, “Oh, we’re so sad, why are you letting us down?”
When Rs hear from their base, it goes something like this, “Stop it, or we’re going to rip your fucking lungs out.”
Yeah. I unnerstan.
One in particular, who has been in NYC DOE for 20+ years, is also dismissive of all the wingnut stuff that Bloomberg/Klein have done. She seems to have retreated into her own cocoon, out of self-prez. Can’t criticize her, becuz she’s done some wonderful stuff with students, just wish she’d be more forthcoming about the metaeducation issues.
anecdotal, is not evidence.
Unions became door mats for a whole variety of reasons. Think one of the most important was cooption by the D.C. cocktail weenie circuit. Not kidding.
Eli, it’s been long known the Dims are as bad as the other party, that they all work for the same consortium . . .
Been this way since 1980 or earlier.
There should be no ‘newfound’ incredulity regarding this . . . you just putting salve on wounds?
That’s important, I concur, if that’s what ya mean . . . we have to help our wounded, n good on ya for that . .
But let’s not forget the Dims are and have been SUCKING for a long time now.
Yeah, but you know the mainstream prog bloggers will, in the end, come back to their Dear Leader. They make noises here and there to make it seem like they are keeping Oilbummer honest–but that’s just misdirection and bread and circuses for the prog masses. All good compliant progs always bow down to their abuser. Count on it.
Remember I said it…now in 2010… you can come back to this post in 2012.
You don’t merember my recent & ancient history on: Oh it makes me sooo sad that you are soo angry. But you nailed it anyhow.
I’d also offer this from digby:
That is not “in the tank” kind of language if you ask me.
Very good point.
Howdy E . .
Uh, what jobs? What workers?
Digby is a Demo Party shill. I mean, isn’t it obvious?
Hence, WWATBD–what would a teabagger do?
If you read Digby closely, she has indeed given Obama the benefit of the doubt for most of the last two years, but that is changing rapidly.
This is a funny site lampooning the lib-bloggers. Endless fun:
Dirty Greenie Hippy
Not at all . .
BHO was fully groomed, promoted and elected by the PTB.
And now he’s enacting the role he was chosen for.
Destroy any and all means the masses might have to riser thru the ranks and influence our existence.
It’s a class war, and the corporate fascist class is killin us.
BHO is just a figure head.
Not too many of them are being obvious O-bots these days, and there are several people honest enough to complain about him.
No, it’s not. I’ve talked with her on the phone several times from just before the 2008 convention and the last time was March of this year.
She’s best on partisan issues, but that is often buried under the psychology of what she writes about. Rick Perlstein too.
I don’t know how you can say “shill” when Digby writes “they don’t know what the hell they’re doing.”
I agree. I mean, I knew Oilbummer was fraud in 2007–yet people like Digby (supposedly a political genius blogger) couldn’t see it. Sorry, Digby is not very politically astute. She’s way overrated.
trollish comment.
Good Qs.
Real story.
My sil rented a summer cottage in the Poconos to Joyce Miller, at that time one of the top female union officials, head of Prez Clinton’s Glass Ceiling Commish. (Whatever happened to that.)
So I had a meal or two with Joyce.
On a future occasion, I was relating dinner conversation with my sil, around the issue of asking Miller what went wrong with unions, and before I had finished, my sil interrupted with: people like Joyce Miller.
So there you have it. Union sell-outs, really simple.
If Digby said: “Ralph Nader was completely right about the corruption of the Democratic Party”, then I might take her seriously. Otherwise, I really can’t. No offense.
Digby wasn’t expecting the worshipful attitude of O walking on water that so many others had, either. And in 2007, O wasn’t seen as a serious candidate in 2008.
You might want to actually read the stuff you’re complaining about.
Sorry, I’m just a little sick of the ineptitude of “the left” these days. If you want to call them “the left.” Apologies.
They’d claim they were forming another party, and then vote R anyway.
Like WMDs, anyone who was anyone knew there was no there there with O by summer 2008, with his FISA vote, at the latest. No excuse after that.
I’m hip. It’s an astonishing turn around for that place.
I’m left. I think O should become an honest R, since he’s one in all but official denomination.
F*ck R Nader. In the last 20 years, he’s only been out for himself.
I have to agree with you and though I can’t say that vote surprised me, it did disappoint me. And then there was TARP. The no strings, unconditional TARP.
So are we declaring a third party and setting up interviews with Dennis and Feingold?
Yeah. All politicians are narcissists but Nader leaves them all in the dust. He’s orders of magnitude more self important.
Obama’s legacy is to be considered a stooge by left, right, and middle. This is NOT what he had in mind.
thats exactly it!,they know what they are doing!
don’t forget Bernie
Really? I think Nader has been more than vindicated. Everything that he predicted has come to pass. Nothing he has said has been off the mark–except maybe his belief that the rich can save us. Otherwise, Nader was and is the ONLY person I can think of who stuck his neck out to help ordinary Americans. I can’t think of one pol in the US gov’t who has done that.
Well…yes and no. They would vote for a candidate with an R next to her name, but that R would have to be dissed and essentially hated by the R Party. The ‘baggers are unapologetic about sticking it to Republicans.
jesus what a first string dumbass – okay, insulated first string dumbass
he’s doing this because his crew has determined it has ‘worked’ for Obama/DNC – except of course it hasn’t – see 11/02/10
does Shrum have an academy somewhere ?
Disagree about Nader. Agree in the sense that the kind of personality that would take on the PTB like Nader did would have to be larger-than-life and annoying as shit.
However, when has Nader ever lied to advance himself?
No offense taken.
But Digby was the one, PRIOR to the inauguration that warned about Obama wanting a Grand Bargain via what turned out to be the Catfood Commission. Whatever your feelings about party and partisan politics, she was right when she accurately wrote on January 15th 2009, prior to Inaguration, and predicted the mechanics of the at-the-time unknown Catfood Commission:
That was all accurate, and not shilling as far as I’m concerned.
And, if so, can we provide vouchers to the Rs to attend it?
Hey feel free add in names the Lake should invite them all here to talk:)
Excellent.
Besides, at Digby’s worst, she couldn’t come close to John Cole’s sycophantic behavior. And as for Duncan Black, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen him apologize for Obama or the establishment Dems. Granted I don’t hang around there terribly much lately but the last time I did, he has some apologist commentators but hell, even we have those.
Cumo can kiss his dreams of being President good bye. Its hard to be President if the Dem base of Unions and Lefties won’t knock on doors or make phone calls for you.
there’s to be a disclosure on that tomorrow – from Bloomberg’s FOIA requests
link
Teddy Partridge is upstairs!
Where Will DADT Repeal Opponents Hang Their Hats Now?
Not being bellicose and a spittle-flinging terror is apparently a character flaw.
Sure Digby makes noises–but come election time it’s always vote for the Democrat or else. Lesser evilism is evil, as we have seen. It is a political dead end. With each year, decade that passes this allows the political spectrum to move farther and farther to the right. This is the fault of the left, not the right because the left refuses to fight. Lesser evilism is the problem, not the Repugs.
Read Chris Hedges’ new book. He’s way more articulate than I.
That’s why you have Andrew Cuomo, a reich winger.
Hey we should ask Rahm if this is his plan for Chicago and if he agrees with Cumo and Obama. There is no way he can answer that question or waffle that question without loosing the Chicago Unions and that means maybe half the Daley Machine.
i used to read Digby religiously, but she is kinda predictable, then again,i might be burnt out
I guess. I submit that reflexive behavior that harms Democrats is just as senseless and dangerous as reflexive behavior that benefits Democrats. It was all I could do in the lead up to the midterms to behave myself under the constant haranguing of people here who didn’t believe I was capable of making up my own mind and people at Kos who were coming at me from the other side and didn’t believe I was capable of making up my own mind. At the risk of sounding like a douche, I don’t believe even 1 percent of them were any brighter or better informed than I was.
Candidate advocacy is different than issue analysis. All I’m saying is Digby is very clever and prescient on issues and how they unfold.
That you don’t care for her candidate advocacy doesn’t diminish the point I made about her issue clarity, and what you call “noises.” For what that’s worth.
Clarity on what? She hasn’t been right about anything I can think of. We all know the Republicans are evil, so what? We know the teabaggers are nutty. How many times can you post about this?
The real problem is the dysfunction of the left. This is the problem. We need to address it. Digby doesn’t–or won’t. That’s all I’m saying.
AMEN. That’s where O and I parted company. I voted for him, because the alternative was a crazy senile old man and an empty headed bitch, but I’ve never been a fan and I haven’t seen anything since to counter my initial impression.
Give it up Kelly. Nobody is as smart or as well informed as veganrevolution and until you agree with everything he says, you’ll be at odds. This little tidbit from his own bio should be very informative to you:
If all of the politicians in the world somehow came together and created a utopia where everyone was equal and we all had the same opportunities, wealth, etc., the Anarchists still wouldn’t be happy.
We get your point.
Digby said:
I believe that everything about this is a huge mistake. It validates incorrect right wing economic assumptions, incorporates their toxic rhetoric about “entitlements,” focuses on the wrong problems and continues the illusion that social security is in peril when it isn’t.
What part of that is not clear? Much less prescient?
You want Digby to be something she isn’t – a new/3rd party leader, when what she is, an analyst, is superbly done, but not to your liking since it doesn’t include a new party paradigm.
I don’t make any excuses for my beliefs. I am proud of them. They are a badge of honor. If anarchism was good for Emma Goldman, then it is good enough for me.
We got that point, too.
Good. You should be. Nothing wrong with that. What I object to is your seeming
beliefconviction that nobody else could possibly have an intelligent, cogent set of values if they differ from yours. The only Anarchists in the world are those who have never actually lived under anarchy. I’ll bet the only Anarchists in Somalia are the ones getting rich from standing on the necks of their victims. You can be damned sure that the people losing their property, rights and lives don’t think much of the “system”.
Sorry if I come off as angry, or arrogant–it wasn’t my intention. But I just see things getting worse and worse–and frankly, the same bromides I hear year after year just don’t wash. I engage liberals because I was once a liberal myself. It was a long and painful road away from this dead end, one that other people are going down as well. Like I said, Chris Hedges is an example. But then Hedges comes off as a “know it all” as well.
Somalia is a failed state run by violent warlords. Anarchy is a leader-less society based on decentralization and mutual aid. This is not Somalia. I see no worker owned cooperatives in Somalia.
Some ex-civil servants have dark things to say about Andrew Cuomo from his days at HUD.
Either way, he seems onboard with Obama’s Reaganism.
not interested in anarchy. peace & justice, moreso. good luck getting in the last word and eating your weight in tofu. /s
Compare and contrast this 2010 Washington Post piece:
Not a lot of things have gone the Democrats’ way this year, but dozens of their House candidates are getting a late boost from an unusual source: the National Rifle Association.
So far this year, the NRA has endorsed 58 incumbent House Democrats, including more than a dozen in seats that both parties view as critical to winning a majority… the powerful group adheres to what it calls “an incumbent-friendly” policy, which holds that if two candidates are equally supportive of gun rights, the incumbent gets the nod. The policy is frustrating Republicans who think the group is hurting its own cause and the party’s chances next month.
versus this NY Times story from 1996:
Representative Bill Martini of New Jersey likes to tell union members that he lined up so much Republican support for the labor-backed bill to raise the minimum wage that he was one of only two Republican freshmen invited to the bill-signing ceremony. Mr. Martini also boasts that he bucked Speaker Newt Gingrich and did labor’s bidding by opposing bills to strip transit workers of bargaining rights and to cut wages for construction workers on public projects.
So how has the A.F.L.-C.I.O. rewarded this 49-year-old lawyer?
Not only has it endorsed his opponent, William J. Pascrell Jr., the Mayor of Paterson, but it is throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars into television and radio spots saying Mr. Martini has voted to cut college loans, chop Medicare and let corporations raid pension plans, assertions he calls fabrications… Mr. Martini, who has been endorsed by 10 union locals, belongs to a group of Republican moderates… who have backed labor in some important battles, only to find the federation scorning them this fall.
Its simple, the Democratic party uses Labor every cycle to get elected then spends the next two years sucking up to Wall Street. If a Republican tried to doublecross the NRA like that, they’d be primaried and then face an NRA-backed Democrat. Charity becomes at home, Labor needs to narrow its litmus test to one or two core issues (ratchet it up each cycle as stuff gets passed) and let the Democratic party carry their own water.
For starters, you can’t beat Thomas Geoghegan’s proposal (#3) to “amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to give the same individual type of civil right to join—or, yes, not to join—a union”. If Labor wants to get ambitious a second litmus test should be… peg the minimum wage to 10% of a Congressman’s salary (so $8.75 an hour vs. the current $7.25) and automatically bumping it when Congress bumps their own salary. And that’s it. Then play it like the NRA, support any candidate who passes the litmus test, oppose any that don’t, if both nominees do, tie goes to the incumbent.
what?
I understand and share your frustration. Believe me. What I object to is the constant insistence from so many people who have decided that nobody else is as qualified as they to make judgments, that nobody sees things as clearly as they do, that nobody else is as capable as they are of rendering a reasonable verdict. It’s a totally human trait and it’s something that A class personalities, (like I am), must always be aware of and attempt to control. I appreciate your comment and it isn’t my intention to come off as arrogant or dismissive either. I have a great deal of respect for you but sometimes we have to agree to disagree, a philosophy which you sometimes seem a bit reluctant to embrace.
It’s my own opinion that reflexive voting is the most irresponsible way to behave when we vote. Voting by principle instead of knowledge is as bad as voting by party or voting because one wants to be on the “winning side”.
Unfortunately so far nobody has figured a way to keep an anarchist system from degenerating into a failed state.
good thinking. good write up.
cuomo is a fossil democrat. a “New Democrat” all the way, which makes him a mainstream democrat. There are no more New Deal-Labor Democrats. I dont even really know what The Dems are anymore. I might have said “republican lite” , except they arent lite. They are basically republican. The Dems are worse than republicans because if the democrats Have A funtion anymore, it is to sell republican politics (by way of lying about them and misrepresenting themselves) to voters who still think there is some difference between the parties. I think the Dems are dead ducks after the boomer generation passes. they have shown NOTHING to anyone else.
If we’re not really the base they worry about, then the DLC Moneyparty has factored in the response already.
“Si, se chupe!” doesn’t have quite the same ring does it?

Digby sucks . . .
Not a proggy, by any means.
Plain to see.
Kelly, you and I will disagree about Digby’s purpose, intent, funding and more.
Forever.
She’s so far gone like Josh Micah, or any Veal Pen bought and owned blogs, as can be.
Her general purvey’s of life as I see it, well, she sucks.
She’s bought and owned.
N that’s how I see it.

Fine enough. You see what you see, I see what I see.
And I really can’t find that I disagree with her Jan 15th post predicting what has happened. If you find that you can, ok.
Cuomo ran against the unions and on a policy of austerity, and it wasn’t just in the last few weeks. Why did the unions give money to him? Why didn’t the support teamster Howard Hawkins, the green. It was obvious Paladino had no chance of winning, so there was no risk involved! If they support the dems no matter how much the dems screw them they deserve the be attacked. They are too stupid to exist and need to be replaced by more independent unions that won’t tolerate constituent abuse.
Why wouldn’t they do this? Union leaders lie down and roll over every time Obama tells them to. Union leaders should be calling for strikes and should be marching. They should pledge to not support obama in 2012. They don’t even fight. Trumka growls and barks and then whimpers when the hammer comes down. Leo Gerard could put an insomniac to sleep, he’s so meek and mild. I’m not surprised many union members have no respect for their unions, anymore.
The Democrats are doing what the Republicans couldn’t. Cutting SS and taxes for the rich. All on board, the next “Dark Age” starting shortly.
We elected Barack Obama, in essence we hired Barack Obama. He has not come up to our expectations. Now it’s time to hire someone else.
We elected Barack Obama, we hired Barack Obama. He has not come up to our expectations. Now it’s time to hire someone who can fill our list of qualifications. Someone who will pick up the FDR playbook and run with it. Someone who will leave Iraq and Afghanistan; just say “Drop off the key Lee. Git on the bus Gus”, and bring it on home.
Vivid! Yes, I like it. Obama is not our friend. He is a front man for the fascist takeover of our nation and the world. he has done more to forward that agenda than Regan, Nixon,Clinton and Bush combined. We elected Obama because he lied to us. His handlers figured out what we wanted to hear and gave it to us. And of course I am sure many others, like me, voted for him because the alternative was crazy McCooter who couldn’t wait to get his finger on the nuke button to destroy countries so evil they don’t want to become colonies of the fascist empire otherwise known as the USA. I am afraid we have yet to see the worst of Obama. As he fails to consolidate his power he may resort to more extreme fascist measures, like starting WWIII, restoring the draft, assassinating Americans who disagree with his agenda, restoring the Alien and Sedition Act in some other form to silence dissent. there are plenty of right wing lunatics who will love that. And the really sad part is that there are plenty of liberals who will support all that too.

Andrew is not his father’s Democrat.
