Dallas Morning Views endorses White;

It would be so much more interesting if these were exploding heads.
Is America Lost?
There look to be a lot of Morans on the Talking Heads this week. As usual
Love that pic. And they bring along their succubi.
Lizzard Cheney is on Face the Nation (CBS); Darth Cheney is no where to be seen — thank doG.
Yes, thanks, I just wish they’d use her full name. And for all of the wingnuts their party – (Darkside).
Are we sure Darth is out of the hospital? All has been very quiet. But what does Liz contribute that gets such play? Won’t be watching…
Good morning, pups. It’s Dowd, Friedman and Rich today. In “Playing All the Angles” MoDo squeals that Harry and the Dems are getting hammered by the new girls looking to unseat the unpopular pols. Like Barack, Reid can’t seem to muster his opponent’s enthusiasm. The Moustache of Wisdom, in “Going Long Liberty in China,” has a question: Can China continue to grow at a rapid pace by permitting its people to have only economic liberty? Place your bets. Mr. Rich says “The Rage Won’t End on Election Day,” and that the radical right’s anger is becoming less focused, more free-floating and more likely to claim minorities like gays, Latinos and Muslims as collateral damage.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready and I’ve got a warm pecan coffee cake this morning. The sun is almost up and I’ve got lots of work to do in the garden today. I’ve got time for one more cup of tea before I (YAY) put on a sweater and get started. Have a great day.
Thanks….pretty strong words.
Thanks, Rich is spot on about arousing nastiness – not good for the country in any way. (Love sweater weather too.)
Well you know, that keeping us Americans safe stuff, I guess. /s
Good Morning Eli and Rev, and all, Visited the local Dem office to get some more Feingold signs and ran into the county Dem treasurer and chairperson. I wrangled them into a short discussion, and got the eleven dimensional chess theory of Obama’s leadership, then I laughed and asked them to please tell me what the party insiders know that they aren’t sharing with the rest of us.
Good morning all.
dakine, my housekeeper did not see any painting at West Point like the one you described.
Sarah spreading her wisdom in Calif.; had not heard much from her lately.
Good morning. I’m getting truly frightened about what may happen on Election day. We can piss and moan all we want about the dems, since they are more than deserving, but if the repubs gain control I’m going to be as depressed as I was during the Bush years. If there’s an enthusiasm gap, let fear get the dems in motion.
Good morning
Wasn’t dick in California at a white wing fundraiser explaining his righteousness of being chief torturer, just last week ?
Just when eric holder was looking at California for pot heads instead of war criminals.
Can’t help remembering watching Al Gore get knocked off by the same tactic, and know what a difference for this country he would have made.
We’re more than concerned. It’s going to be a bloodbath, I fear.
In an undisclosed locationSunning herself on a rock no doubt.I don’t know; probably missed that news. I really have not herad anything about him except some recent updates about the shooting incident.;) One of his better, also phoney, moments…putting folks at risk.
Get used to it. The Ds have no one to blame but themselves.
…while snapping up fellow insects.
In real news, Barbara Billingsly died. Now who will translate jive for us?
I agree but this is a catastrophe. My only hope is that the cell phone issue is skewing the polls more than they realize.
I was with some longtime Repub friends recently…one of the things we could agree on was the disaster of W. Finally.
The catastrophe you refer to was created by the Ds, so let’s give credit where credit is due.
There is a sentiment in the corporate media and among large segments of society that it is unbearable and intolerable that the rich should be held accountable and perhaps suffer the consequences. If it’s the working and middle class, well the corporate media is just fine with that.
It’s just the NARRATIVE they are selling. All of the polling places are using what in my opinion is an extremely unlikely likely voter filter based on national “enthusiasm” numbers. Gallup for example more than doubles the number of registered Republican voters over Democratic ones in the national generic. I just find predictions of electoral apocalypse very unlikely.
How can you say that so totally when we had 8 years of W + war etc? Don’t get it.
Because the Ds had the perfect opportunity to change all that and flubbed it on every front.
And that ladies and gentlemen, is the word of truth…
Flubs, yes; still quite an over-statement imho….
Back to bashing the dems….IMO, Harry Reid gave a big hint during his debate on the tax rate issue. He guaranteed that the tax rate would not go up for the middle class. What I heard was that the tax rate isn’t going up for the millionaires either. The vote will be after the election of course.
Stacking wood on the agenda.
Be well.
Watching a commenter who has done in-depth survey among African Am’n communities and says they fly under the radar from long experience, will be out in force, % supporting the prez is higher than it was in 2008. I also think polling landline phones of folks who answer them is very skewed.
That is interesting…Im out. See you good folks later…
Plus the really unrealistic likely voter filter in place this year. I was just astonished by those numbers.
Their worst failure was to not take back the voting machine ownership.
Until karl’s hands can’t touch the vote, the enduring republican majority will come to pass.
The MSM may be setting up the country for these “official” results.
Makes you wonder if those are like AAA ratings?
Why can’t this whole Sunday tv wankfest complex just die already? Such worthless bilge.
My time is much better spent on YouTube watching Barbara Billingsley clips.
It shall be interesting to see how the talking heads describe the election results… what did the dems actually do wrong to deserve the whipping they got? Aren’t elections a referendum on the guys in office?
What sort of BS will they spin?
Mornin’, Elliott, pups
Instead of the drivel on teebee, spend a half hour with Robert Fisk.
MTP; Gregory actually read a study to Buck about the racism the tea baggage actually represents. Buck insists that’s not true in CO.
Everyone here remembers the day Kerry ‘lost’. An entire day of thinking the nightmare was over…then bam…4 more years of BushCo. What a horrible day that was. I don’t want another day like that.
#37 FL is using machine tabulation to “read” paper ballots: as an amatuer, i could probably code a +2.5% for thug and corresponding -2% for dem that will avoid “recount.” Alvin Greene “win” shows how it can be even more outrageous and still be considered “valid.”
The corps are just setting up “plausibility” for thug “win” like george, jr., 2k. Remember that’s the last time exit polls were accurately used.
we are so screwed…
karen
I wouldn’t trust poll data anymore than I’d eat street food in Guadalajara. If I can’t believe election results are honest how can I even begin entertaining the notion that poll data is honest when there’s probably no legal obligation for it to be so. Naturally, the same goes for most of what’s offered up as “news and information.” Feeding people BS is how the population is manipulated.
The “Intelligence community” has a new problem with their AlQaeda/LeT/ISI/CIA spy David Headley/Daood Gilani. Apparently two of Headley’s three wives reported him to the “intelligence community” as being a terrorist years before the Mumbai attack.
It is looking more and more as if Mumbai was operation between Pakistan and our secret neo-con “intelligence community” which was running and protecting Headley every step of the way.
Now the official government spokesliars have began their phony baloney cover stories.
Sure it could have been his wife had a grudge after Headley slugged her in the face. Headley may have avoided prosecution for domestic violence by intervention from the “intelligence community”.
You had to remind us. Cannot face seeing the civilized world suffer another such series of blows.
Had a conversation some few days back about how to word poll questions to get the results you want, and get paid for. And know practically no one who answers unknown callers. No, not to be taken seriously.
You have a point. I see an 800 number on my tv screen, I don’t answer.
MTP : Buck believes being gay is a choice – birth is an influence, like alcohol. !

GLENN GREENWALD
Robert Gibbs, hypocritical transparency crusader
….what makes it so infuriating to watch Gibbs make this argument is that Gibbs himself — back in 2003 and 2004 — was heavily involved in exactly the same kind of anonymous-funded negative campaign the Chamber is running now, when the brand-new advocacy group for which he was the spokesman invoked the same excuses as the Chamber is invoking now to conceal its donors. As Chris Moody recalls, when Howard Dean was the 2004 Democratic front-runner, a new group abruptly popped up — calling itself “Americans for Jobs, Health Care and Progressive Values” — and, shortly before the Iowa primary, began running an extremely ugly anti-Dean TV ad campaign, featuring images of Osama bin Laden, along with ominous claims that Howard Dean would fail to Keep Us Safe, that he could not “compete with George Bush on foreign policy.”….The Dean campaign was furious that fellow Democrats would run an ad like this that so obviously relied on (and reinforced) core Rovian, fear-mongering attacks, but more so, they were absolutely incensed that nobody knew who had funded this group, of which the very same Robert Gibbs, having supposedly just left his position as press secretary with the Kerry campaign, was the spokesman. And just as the Chamber is doing now, Gibbs’ group categorically refused to disclose its funders until the law compelled it to do so — i.e., months later, once the Dean campaign was destroyed. Just read this Dec. 16, 2003, New York Times article on the controversy to see how similar this was, and how hypocritical it is for Robert Gibbs of all people to be trumpeting “the fundamental threat to our democracy” posed by nondisclosure of campaign funding sources….”

This youtube video came my way yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJtjqLUHYoY It’s been around a while. You’d think the message might be simple enough to be gotten by some of the more dense among us.
