Pennsylvania’s Department of Homeland Security has employed an entity called the Institute for Terrorism Research and Response to monitor the web traffic of anti-drilling activists in that state. The effort was purportedly started to fulfill national requirements to protect critical infrastructure.

On Sunday Lady Gaga went to the Video Music Awards with former members of the armed service who left/were discharged over Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and who are part of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.
Today Lady Gaga tweeted her nearly 7 million followers and asked them to call Harry Reid and schedule a Senate vote on the repeal of DADT. Reid must have gotten the messages. He responded via Twitter.

Yes, it’s primary night once again in America. Or at least on the Liberal Hippie East Coast… and Wisconsin. And as is so often true, it’s looking like a referendum on each party’s political direction. All three Republican races above feature a Tea Party candidate against a more establishment one, and both Democratic ones feature a conservative Blue Dog type against a progressive.

If you are wondering why Democrats are running a campaign to scare Americans about how terrible a Republican-led Congress would be, instead of running on their accomplishments and campaign promises, the latest Gallup poll has your answer. Gallup found that financial reform was the only issue out of those polled that received favorable marks from a majority of Americans.
