This morning, Attackerman aptly skewered both the tone and the PR-heavy nature of the New York Times’ article on the evolving relationship between President Obama and Gen. David Petraeus.
But I couldn’t get past the substance, such as it was, in the story’s opening paragraphs.

We all want the candidates with the most popular support to win, and to then make decisions based on what they believe is best for the country and their constituents, not corporations they feel beholden to. And above all, we want our politicians to care about our voices and our votes, to view us as their employers rather than an annoying cloud of gnats to be ducked or waved away.

It sounds like Lisa Murkowski will do every thing she can to remain in the Senate. According to the Anchorage Daily News, indications are that she is prepared to launch a write-in campaign this evening (announcement is expected around 9 p.m. Eastern).
