Not surprisingly, these idiots rare display of originality in burning something other than a cross will have a nasty side effect of getting Americans killed in other places.
Meanwhile, it seems to me that for a “secret Muslim” the President has no problem coupling a professed respect for Islam with a propensity for lobbing a predator missile into the occasional Afghani funeral or banquet. But we cannot even have temperate language now can we?

You’re expecting Republicans to be patriotic? Not unless there’s something in it for them. Ronald Reagan taught them well.
How would they react if a group of Muslims burned a whole stack of Bibles?
The Republican Party has enjoyed an eerie symbiosis with al Qaeda ever since they discovered they could win votes by playing the terrorism card. World terrorism tripled under Bush-Cheney’s watch, even while they were turning America into the nightmare Osama bin Laden envisioned.
In a 2004 videotape message, Osama bin Laden boasted that it was easy to provoke the U.S., “lure it into perdition,” and inflict “human, financial, and political losses on America.” More importantly, he threatened that “[w]e are continuing to make America bleed to the point of bankruptcy, by God’s will.”
Surviving Jeb Bush
If they want to play with the Illudium Q-36 detonator and it goes off, they might have to take responsibility for what happens, whether they want to or not. I hope they like the taste, because I think they’ll have to Eat It All.
attaturk, here’s the scary part;
the wing nuts marionettes have puppet masters, these are string pullers who are organizing these rediculous bible burning, ant recreation center movements
these puppet masters, they know the damage they are doing to us internationally, they know they are creating more terrorists, they know they are making piece almost impossible
they are in fact, deliberately creating the climate terrorist attacks, terrorist recruitment and undermining this country’s future
that’s the scary part, that the ramifications are not “unintentional consequences” they are deliberate
I am surprised a group here or abroad has not proposed just the same thing
Good morning, pups. It’s Brooks, Cohen and Herbert today. Bobo has produced a thing called “The Gospel of Wealth” in which he gurgles that the betrayal of the age of excess has made us hungry for a new code reconciling material and spiritual longings. Mr. Cohen, in “Europe and Benign Neglect,” says President Obama the post-Atlanticist has European leaders shaking their heads. Mr. Herbert, in “Rising to the Occasion,” says on Labor Day, President Obama finds his voice in outlining a $50 billion infrastructure campaign to rebuild America. He wonders where’s this guy been.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, the cold drinks are in the fridge, and the biscuits are out of the oven. Back to the grind after a lovely long weekend… Sigh. Have a great day.
It is not in the interests of the MCI to “win” the “war” on “terror” and as the Lyin’bastard in the WH works for the MCI I am sure he has no interest in ceasing the vile acts that create “terrorism”. I do believe Wallace is actually correct in this instance.
thanx marion, a comment;
it’s really funny, I told the president out right when he first proposed the rediculous tarp program that gave my money to the criminals causing the problem, I said told him;
“all we need is a help wanted sign” and that would fix the economy
that’s all this economy needs, a prospect for employment for those without jobs and a prospect for alternative employment should they lose their jobs for those that are currently working
I pointed out, most of us still have money to spend but we are reluctant becuase we don’t know if we’ll have a job tomorrow,,,once we know we can always find work then we’ll all be going out and spending agian
the program needs to be big enough to give all who need work work, the jobs need to be gainful, living wage jobs
do that and this economy thrives
I doubt the president has in mind what i have in mind though, it looks far too small a program
you’re not even speculating you’re making a statement that is a provable fact;
there is no winning a war on a tactic or a strategy, that’s like saying “we’re going to “win the war on preperation”, “win the war on diversion”, “win the war on divide and conquer”
it’s not only not possible, it’s a rediculous proposition in the first place, terrorism is not an enemy it’s a tool enemies use, we use it ourselves
The Rebuild American Infrastructure campaign is so cute, and soooo tiny!
The Great Appeaser announced a 50 billion dollar investment in infrastructure, roads, rails and runways, over 6 years. Given that China is spending 292 billion on high speed rail alone Obama’s investment is a drop in the bucket.
Terry Jones pointed this out in a Guardian article some years ago.
Some figures
Yeah that $50bil is really going to help!!
What the Democrats and Republicans are doing to the country reminds me of a Soprano’s episode where a sporting good store gets into financial trouble and the mob moves in to “help” and they end up “busting out” the business, stripping it of anything of value for their own benefit, which ultimately leads to bankruptcy.
What we need to do is connect the need for infrastructure improvements to the nasty “terroriststs” attacking the UncleLand then there would be unlimited funds.
The same episode or one similar is in the mob movie “Goodfellas” where they do the same to a restaurant and then torch it.
Swim is up…
Yeah, they ended up burning the building, probably to collect the insurance.
Uh oh, now there’s going to be a bunch of diaries at DKos proclaiming “That’s not true! Obama is as just as willing to kill brown people for no reason as Bush, if not moreso! Look at this YouTube clip of a speech he gave praising Our Troops Who Can Do No Wrong!”
Somebody needs to send that Florida pastor a copy of Terrorist Strategy 101. As Petraeus pointed out, the dude’s doing Al-Qaeda’s bidding. His actions are the sort that look fabulous on the Al-Qaeda version of the locker room board.
