Republicans Love the Constitution, Except All the Parts They Want to Change |
| By: Blue Texan Monday August 23, 2010 10:30 am |
I’ve previously written about this little game those “strict constructionist” conservatives are playing in the post-Bush/Teabagging era, but it’s nice to see the Associated Press has gotten wise to it.

Many of the nation’s most prominent faith leaders have come together for a campaign called “Stop the War on Prayer” to protect the Park51 mosque, which includes the video above and a new website.
Funny How All Those Peace Negotiations Seem to Fail… |
| By: emptywheel Monday August 23, 2010 9:02 am |
Dexter Filkins confirms today something that had been suggested in earlier reporting: Pakistan cooperated in our capture of Abdul Ghani Baradar in January to disrupt peace talks in Afghanistan. Now, seven months later, Pakistani officials are telling a very different story. They say they set out to capture Mr. Baradar, and used the C.I.A. to [...]
Administration Pushing South Korea Free Trade Deal |
| By: David Dayen Monday August 23, 2010 8:10 am |
Trade hasn’t been a subject that has received much ink during the Obama Administration. They haven’t sought to overhaul NAFTA or CAFTA, nor have they signed any new major trade deals. Hey, gang — Phoenix Woman here, filling in for our good buddy Attaturk. How are you all this fine Monday morning at oh-dark-hundred? Y’all may have heard about Sarah Palin’s (or was it perhaps her bigot-loving ghost writer Lynn Vincent’s?) dumb-cluck Tweet about feminism being hijacked by a “cackle of rads”, which of course is [...]
