I suspect that the interviewer that came 10 minutes late and didn’t ask me any questions, didn’t let me ask him questions and lectured me about the position had decided he wanted another candidate. But it’s pointless to speculate on it.

Don’t confuse structure with content. The 60′s and later content offered more structural options, (but some sound a lot the same) AND also offers more tonal options.

There’s no guitar or Leslie growl in the ’40s like there is in the ’60s and laterfor one instance.

And, the singing styles? Totally different. Make one from the ’40s overlap a ’60s R&B singer. Nope!

I wrote to the recruiter, the hiring manager and the director that recommended me to express my disappointment:

… that the assessment of the interview team was that I’m not an “ideal fit” for this position.

I’m disappointed in this assessment; I feel my knowledge of EDA and customer engagement skills would be very helpful in doing excellent work in this role. Can you help me to understand where I was unsuccessful in getting that across to the team? I’d like to know how I can improve how I communicate my enthusiasm and fitness for a position.

I also want to convey that I found this position very appealing. If the decision can be revisited I’m definitely interested. He also said the team was enthusiastic about me in terms of my over all fit…
