has been foggy here all day — but warm. got up to 72 for about 10 minutes but stayed at 70 for several hours. now down to 54 and i’m wearing fleece again :)
By the way Suzanne…have been over to your twotongreen blog and would be remiss if I did not tell ya that you have some fine photos posted there…very nice pics…hope to see more of your artistry!
aw thanks ed. just documenting life on the bay with a very good camera :) tis a very special place with eagles for neighbors — a great place to watch mother nature no matter the season.
he did and he was here last night ce. was hoping he would show up tonight but if he doesn’t and ya’ll wanna tell him ya liked it, ya can always leave a comment over at his place.
I flew to Paris on September 11, 2002. Alone, as MrCE flew two days before. Let me tell you, once I made my connection in Detroit, I think that there were only a dozen people on that flight. I read the NYTimes for six hours, and made my way to our hotel in Paris.
Billy is the shits…just love the guy…although the subject matter is no way funny, I have had 3 so far in my ‘young’ life…but he put a great freakin spin on it and truthiness… :–}
Just back from a long day at work and the post-Alaska primary Unity Dinner.
Very progressive Democrat Scott McAdams, who is most likely going up against teabagger Joe Miller for our 2012 Senate seat, gave a stunning address. A couple people took videos. I think once people realize how powerful Scott’s message is, this will become the most watched US Senate race this cycle.
Had to follow up on a little project, epoxied some wood pieces together to build a custom pair of oars for a rowing boat. Gently shaving the excess squeezed out glue off before in totally hardens saves me hours of work.
LN food and fall and frivolity and now some sleep, wonderful. Thanks for the links, I can get a full ration of sleep before these download on my dial-up and I can view them with my morning brew.
I’m doing well, especially with the belly laughs. I think I’ll save this link for when the real world closes in on me. I hope there’s enough humor here to counteract the crazy!
I love to laugh, but if I’m being honest, I tend to choose tears. It’s kind of a fallback position for me. Catastrophizer of the first order, that’s me.
my oldest girl admits that she needs to cry occasionally. is what works for her to get rid of excessive emotions. my youngest uses humor. its really finding what works for ya that matters
I definitely do both. (And find that martinis enhance the effect either way!) The other piece of the puzzle is being well-rested, which I forget. So, off to bed for me, in order to fight the good fight again tomorrow. And hope that there’s no GPS tracker attached to my car, even though I am a very good girl.
Hey folks:
Sounds like comedy night!
As you may know I used to do stand up. I was an opening act or MC and did “industrial comedy” and got paid for it. It’s hard for me to watch comedy now because I can “see the seams”. Also like a lot of comedians what makes laugh now is different that what makes “normal ” people laugh.
I’ve been on the phone with my older son, who is explaining “objectivism” to me. And why he thinks it’s unfair that we get taxed. I tell him it’s rent for living in a 1st world country, but he’s never been anyplace really poor…
He didn’t used to think like this…oh well. I just told him about the Tennessee Valley Authority, Rural Electrification, and how that opened up vast areas of the country to prosperity, yadda yadda. We don’t have to agree, he is a sweet boy.
’bout time for me to head out folks. thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight — and getting my thread over 100 comments. i didn’t think we would get there tonight.

Always the shocking date: September 11.
you would think that i would be able to remember that…
It’s really pretty. The things that flower in fall are starting to flower, like the silver lace vine that drapes over fences.
some inspiration for some future artwork?

You’re killin’ me here, Suz. I’ve only watched Mrs. Hughes and Billy and I’m not sure I can take any more. Thanks for the much-needed levity.
Hello and Good night To All you LLN’ers,
Had to follow up on a little project, epoxied some wood pieces together to build a custom pair of oars for a rowing boat. Gently shaving the excess squeezed out glue off before in totally hardens saves me hours of work.
LN food and fall and frivolity and now some sleep, wonderful. Thanks for the links, I can get a full ration of sleep before these download on my dial-up and I can view them with my morning brew.

Takes more than a lot of potatoes to remind me of summer, but at least we won’t have to trap mice to make it past February.

Thank God I was here.
I was expecting you to throw him a bone … maybe bail him out.
:) so many good comedians to try to remember
True. Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, the list goes on.
happy 100 vmt!!!
nah. He only sorta gets it, which is better than not getting it.
I’m doing well, especially with the belly laughs. I think I’ll save this link for when the real world closes in on me. I hope there’s enough humor here to counteract the crazy!
when my choices to life’s craziness are crying or laughing — i try to choose laughter
Bruce is great … walking the old neighborhood.
My offices were just around the corner from Bookbinders.
I love to laugh, but if I’m being honest, I tend to choose tears. It’s kind of a fallback position for me. Catastrophizer of the first order, that’s me.
