I just replaced my PC with a rebuilt Dell 2400 series ($200.00). Lot of details to get it up to where the other would preform like address book import, software from programs not on it. Finished paper work and faxed to IRS exempt department. LQQking for my camera to computer. Loose ends coming together slooowly but surely.

I find USA politics fascinating. (And often rather depressing.) That’s what I mostly write about on my blog. Got my fingers crossed for the November mid-term elections. Figure Obama is much smarter than the bad guys realize, and he’ll pull some tricks this fall that will avoid the major losses for the Democrats that the GOP are predicting. On the other hand, if that does turn out to be the case, then the backlash from the far-right may really become vicious and violent.

Hi all.

Interview seemed to go well. Company is growing from 1200 employees to 1600 employees over next 4 months. They said if they felt I fit they’d write a job description to fit me. Talked to a director and a VP.

Growing business, but they really seem to have trouble knowing how they’re growing, lot of process stuff that needs sanity. The director’s experience from looking him up at Linked In argues they’re working on it.

Going to have a 2nd phone screen with company from Wednesday too. Another company said they were definitely wanting to talk with me earlier this week, and the morally suspect job wanted my resume and to talk too.

Productive week. Still need an offer and to get to work.

No “Notice of Default” yet from my mortgage company, technically they could have sent it July 1.

Pretty well. I stopped for a beer after the interview. Ended up talking shop with someone that said he knew of openings for my kind of work after a wide ranging conversation. Fellow born in the CCCP, works in software in US now. Talked about my visit to Moscow in the 70s, he said he wanted to send me video of Russia in the 80s, so I gave him a business card at which point we started talking shop.

Every day they don’t send me the notice is another day on the clock for foreclosure. Right now the earliest they could auction is in November… if I’m working I should be able to get late payments put on end of loan.

I’d had an onsite the day before JH and I had our unpleasantness back in October. next few months about 1 call a month, on site about every 2 months. Since March it’s been 2-3 calls a month, on sites about 3 per 2 month period. June had 5 calls, 1 onsite. So far 5 calls in July.

BTW, did you notice that for 3 days Digby’s comments weren’t working? I complained to Echo and after my complaint they started working again but the ECHO people said, ‘It’s your problem, you need to clear your cache.”

I them put about 20 cut and pastes from other peoplen comments with the same problem. They said, “Tell people on your blog who can’t see the comments to clear their cache.” ARGGG. They thought I was digby and it was my blog. BTW, my own blog has been down since Feb because of Goggle/Blogger’s transition off of FTP. So a stupid technical move by blogger to be more ‘efficient’ has ended up shutting my blog down better than the radio station.

Good morning, pups. It’s Collins, Blow and Herbert today. Ms. Collins, in “Repeal 2010,” says the Deepwater Horizon leak has been capped and the president is taking a vacation. Let’s repeal the oil spill and start all over. Mr. blow, in “Dog Days of Obama,” says it’s a long, hot summer for Obama. But the start of a frosty and ferocious fight this winter for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination could be a cool diversion. Mr. Herbert, in “Tweet Less, Kiss More,” says with technology taking over our lives, it might just help to turn off the cellphone and smell the roses.

I was planning on sleeping in later this morning, but after Delilah walked across me 6 or 7 times and delivered herself of a thunderous hiss at the other cat at the foot of the bed I was wide awake.
