Aloha, nahant…! How’s the weather in your neck…? Big rain drops falling here…! ;-)
Hey Pups just got home from Hat Creek camping with family and came home to watch one of the Cooper’s Hawk Fledglings feeding in the tree out front… Man what luck!!
Will post some of the pictures from the trip later…
Never can go wrong with the Who…! ;-)
Been gone since last Wednesday but it sure is nice… Got home to some of the tomatoes already ripe!!! We will be enjoying soon…
Today I spent the day in Calistoga. Great people , great food, great weather.
Behind blue eyes.

*aah* The memories…! ;-)
Hi CT and everyone. Who remembers Melanie?
nahant, you got to go to Woodstock? (fledgling has really grown!)
This one came at a personal low point -
This one (another Stiv song) is live, quite relevant even 27 years on -
BTW saw the band thrice.
Just a reminder…. 8-7 there will be a FirePup meetup in RWC and of course all Pups are welcomed… Ya can reach me @ nahanter at the google mail place… But do let me know your screen name so I can put ya together with ya REAL name…..
I am watching accidental happiness. It was released on September 12, 2001.
wow, thanks for that, CT… that brought back real memories…. it was far from their best performance, but they had me jumping around in the dawn.
beside all the great musicians, that Spencer guy on drums was an inspiration.
Ya Woodstock was my welcomed home from being stationed 2 years in Germany… Sure was a great Welcomed back to the “Real World!!
Wish I could be there. Toast those of us who can’t make it!
New to me. Thanks!
You will be missed (:>( loo hoo.
Wow! You got to be there too!
Nahant, what a wonderful welcome home! How did you guys get tickets without internets? I was a little to young to go anywhere alone, but loved all of those bands. Missing: The Doors.
Hey, NDFG! Glad your garden is working out. Mine is amazing this year…I credit the chicken manure and the seeds from Victory Seed!
I was one of the dummies who went to a record store and bought a 3-day ticket (which is probably still around the house somewhere) they gave up trying to take tickets after a couple of hours and it’s pretty unlikely that too many people had ‘em at all.
Aloha, darms, some great clips…!
I need to stop reading about the massive unemployment in America and how nobody is doing anything about it.
I’ll bet that more than half of ‘em never had tixs…! I think I’m low-balling even…! ;-)
Human Condition, Canned Heat 1970
*heh* Whatcha drinking, mac…? ;-)
I did and sure wish
I still had it… of course when we got there they had already given up on “Tickets” as the fence was already on the ground. We got there around 9AM on Friday.. drove all night to get there in time..
How much did it cost…?
Missing: The Doors.
I know that it became a free-for-all…sounded so fun! How did you learn about it in the first place? Newpapers? Or just there at the record store?
I think it was $6 per day …. and a buck or two cheaper for the full three-day
Ooh, two guitar legends… Call me the Breeze…!
I know what you mean. I have to turn it off sometimes too. I can only look at the oil gusher occasionally too. Likewise the war. Did you see Mohammed’s diary today? Absolutely sickening. We need to self-censure.
da radio WBAI and WNEW in new york and of course if you hung out at the Fillmore East, you heard or read the East Village Other.
Garden’s off the hook this year! Coolest temps for spring and to date so far since I moved here.
Herbs, ‘maters, flowers, squash . . . all growing like mad!
Complex has been painting for a week now around OUR building, so lots of pots got moved, stashed under stuff, ground stuff was covered and uncovered in plastic a few times, and temps are now up, but it’s healthy!
More than 60 basil plants, with 20 already fully grown, pulled, and in the freezer! 30 more starters growing in cups, and I’m harvesting leaves nightly for consumption without stunting the crop! I may have basil and pesto for the winter!! lol
Canned Heat at Woodstock!
I coulda used some fresh basil for the pizza tonight, but it’s been so blistering hot, the basil withered.
Well Pups time to crawl into our own bed after 5 days at 4400 feet for 5 days… See ya all on the LLN show on Monday… Sleep well when ya git there..
Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall.

I guess I am too, didn’t really think about it until I tried to find that nice familiar song and didn’t know who did it.
‘f I recall right, Leon had a pretty good song about the Rolling Stone
Tony Rice, Young, Singing Like A Bird
One of the greatest guitars and voices of all time, sadly he lost his ability to sing somewhere in the 90′s I think, but still picks hot despite his chronic arthritis . . . truly a legend, and a hoss.
THAT boy’s had some hits, ya thank?
*heh* You do know a Canuck wrote and performed that song, eh…? ;-)
night all, be well
Coming Into Los Angeles…!
Ain’t Nobody’s Bidness.

One Of My Fav Songs To Sing In Jams
It rocks! And they pick!
I always liked Green Green, real uptempo . . . . ;-)
Speakin Of Uptempo And Ripping!
I’d argue that’s the New Grass Revival’s strongest lineup of all, and they tear up Townes Van Zandt’s song.
another day Today
Taj is always a good choice indeed…! ;-)
Bluegrass at its best!
Charlie Waller, John Duffey, Eddie Adcock on the 5 and Tom Gray on the doghouse.
Thank you Mr. Zimmerman for a GREAT song of the ages.
Thank you Charlie Waller and John Duffey for your voices and music . . . sigh . . . miss ‘em both.
I take it that on the great divide in music genres, some say the only divide… You’re Country, not Western…! ;-)
Turkish heavy sea tug pilots working the Dardenelles
Love Betty Boop!
Whoa, mac, congrats on the 100!!!
well, sit me down and call me Suzie!
Not much banjo and dobro in Country.
Yep, one of the IBMA Award’s Shows on American Music Shop. All my heroes!
I’ve got about 15 hours or so of AMS, with three years of the IBMA Awards Shows, they rock!
So many pickers, mixing it up, doing songs together . . . . fast paced . . . love that stuff!
Speakin of some bluegrass heroes, here’s a handful of mine in one of the greatest bands ever formed:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VEmXV8Dx_4>Doing Jim Croce’s ‘Age’
And with that, I’ll bid niters to CT The Most EXCELLENT Host, and to all you Pups.
Thanks for the tunage!
Well, there’s country, n there’s Western, too. Tex Ritter, et all.
And, there WAS some country and western in the 60′s, but it all went to hell to in Nashville in the 70′s.
Austin did its best to keep it alive, thanks to Willie, Waylon, and such, which thankfully led to Americana Genre. Merle, and more than a few others from CA did ok, too . . . with that country thang . . .
Aloha, Larue…! Mahalo for the tunes, too…!
Couldn’t leave this one alone . . . country is where the dobro got started in the 20′s/30′s/40′s!
Yer spot on about that there twangin 5 String though . . . .
Gotta go, thanks again, you and Margot always nail a lot of things I like! And maybe haven’t heard!

Wow, haven’t seen her fonts in like forever…!
Michael Row the Boat Ashore.
I still see her on facebook. Are you friends with her?
I’m not sure…! I rarely peruse my FB account…!
