NYT Celebrates Primary Day With a Halter Hit Piece

It’s hard to know whether the New York Time’s content or the timing of the piece are more suspect, but appearing as it does on a hotly contested election day it does not rise to the level of responsible journalism.

America’s Future Now: The Surliest Conference In America

Surly is about the best word to describe the America’s Future Now conference in Washington after the first day. Speaker after speaker excoriated the trajectory from the political sphere as too accommodating, too solicitous, and not enough. Attendees cheered more at the comments about the failures of governance rather than its successes. Progressives – and at this conference, you can even include the institutional groups in that – are just unhappy.

NYT Editorial Calls for Investigations on Illegal Torture Experiments

The New York Times’ editorial board has called for the White House and Congress to investigate charges of illegal human experimentation by the CIA and possibly other agencies. Such illegal research is a war crime, and insofar as undertaken by medical professionals, represent a grave breach of medical ethics.
