hey bb — busy but nice? what didja do?
hey kelly — how’s denver?
We thought thunderstorms, but, no. Lots of wind, and dropping temps. Glororius, actually.
dropping temps is always a good thing in the summertime. i don’t like it when it is too hot to sleep.
Wilco…!
kewl beans
Dood it was SOOO hot this afternoon, but we finally got a little storm to pass through so it’s cooled off nicely. Ahhhh.
steph traveled to cortez, co yesterday and is going to mesa verde (?) tomorrow. a little storm is always such a pleasure… ahhhh indeed
hiya CT, Kelly, CE
Hiya!
Attended Hands across the sands at the Rock in Morro Bay. The girl next to me in line had very strong hands, she said she built them boxing training she works at the animal rescue center. Then went home and got out the skull and rowed into a stiff wind and waves to the spit and back twice (first ever). About 4.5 miles. The neighbor and his twin 7 year old girls were enjoying the afternoon sun bycicling around the driveway and he was getting his 50 year old Schwin three wheeler ready to sell. Picked some white moth caterpillers off of the brocolli. Days are always interesting here. You got a calm bay today? Tomorrow we should have easier rowing conditions.
Mesa Verde RAWKS! I love that place.
Hey there PPD
Hiya Suz, Chris, PPD, mac, everyone.
I’ve got a repeat on of “Full Monte” and it’s such fun.
Aloha, PPD, CE, bb, Kelly and fellow firepups…!

Btw folks the Eclipse was awesome last nite, I tried to take some pics with my webcam, but, they didn’t come out…! 8-(
fork…. i saw the start shortly after 3am but opted for sleep instead of watching. did it have that orangish glow thing going?
couldn’t stay up that late … missed it this go ’round
Not real distinct, but, it was there…!
about 53% coverage last night, CT
Yes’m, thanks.:)
Yep and the umbra was distinct, but, the orange glow was real faint, I could barely make it out at my elevation…! ;-)
you said that so innocently too margot :)
the orange glow always makes me think of halloween — not matter the time of year. too bad it was faint — i wudda thought u would be in the cat-bird’s seat with the best view up there.
PDCUS thanks good to see you here as usual. I am reading B.K.S.Iyengar’s Light on Yoga it is a map for enlightenment. This is hard work. (not the reading, complying)
kelly still here?
enlightening is the opposite of heavyosity, go figure
Just fine… Gonna bake a cake tomorrow, setting out ingredients now.
Best lemon cake recipe I know – Glazed Lemon Cake from the Silver Palate cook book.
Yes, this is part of “the project” – reviewing what I know *g*
Suz, when ya get a chance drop by the Beach Haus…!
maybe he is still lost in thinking about mesa verde?

a quarter in the jukebox
Our moon is awesome and does a bunch of cool things for us. The moon has twice the gravitational effect on our tides as the sun. Our calender is lunar based. Pretty complex science as all the forces coordinate.
along those lines.
hey wmd — how ya doing?
I’ll pass on that youtube, thank ya very much…! ;-)
I’m alright. Hens weren’t laying much today – only 4 eggs, 9 eggs yesterday. usually 6-9 eggs a day lately.
maybe this one is more to your tastes, dood?
For Pellora…! *g*
is it the heat? or do they occasionally slow down production (kinda like a breather from all that pushing involved in the laying)?
Wasn’t that hot today. Supposed to be an egg about every 36 hours from each hen, think it’s just the rhythm hitting a slow point. Probably be 9 or 10 tomorrow, 8 the next day.
3 day total is 20 eggs. Daily production is documented at link from my name.
Well put, if it is enlightening why is it so heavy or am I so heavy getting enlightened is more difficult? No need to answer that. Will say the efforts are improving life in general. Getting past the ego self and hangups is the work.
how long you been keeping chickens wmd?
Shang-a-Lang…!
About 9 years. I’ve been good at documenting production this year. Kind of sporadic in years past.
14 hens. so 20 eggs in 3 days is about right.
time for bed…
g’nite wmd
sha-la-la-la
Reply all in the morn then, Suz…?
yup, in the morning dood
Shambala…! ;-)
shakira
Sha Na Na…!

Doin’ ok. Tired, heading off, soon.
i’m tired too — hope it is that folks are tired and not that they don’t like the toon.
Her boyfriends have some cool moves too!!! Nice pic. Little mango juice is nice with that.
The toon was great!
Hey Folks!
I’m escorting my sister and Mom around town this weekend. Being a tour guide is an exhausting business!
I got off duty around 7 and spent the last 3 hours writing a diary on stuff about the respirators. Our very own Mary Mccurnin directed me to a video about the comments from the wife of one of the fishermen who got sick from the fumes.
She describes stuff that anyone who has spent time in big companies PR and communications teams knows about, but for outsiders it’s shocking. The point I make is that the media are the target of a lot of this stage managing and they either don’t care to point out it is stage managed or don’t know. My money is on don’t care. I think they assume everyone knows that companies cover up all the time.
I also think that people don’t understand that the press don’t feel it is their job to challenge companies. They wait for some activist, group or other company to challenge them and they then write about it.
Aloha, Sleepers…! Time for me to suit up for my first shift…! Caio!
glad ya liked it dood :)
hey spocko — i recommended it and resized the video… the new utube default is too big — the numbers to remember are 425 width and 344 for height (the old utube default size).
While I was at the bay coffee shop a couple in wheelchairs were sitting in their wheelchairs. The husband seemed to have a nervous disorder but they had baby twins who were putting out very strong happy vibes. Life is so powerful and positive. Then I went on my row. These babies were very very delighted to be! I remarked that kids are naturally joyful. She agreed.
and i’m glad your are getting to show mom and sister your city. a nice break for ya after last week.
ciao dood — see ya in an hour
la de da de dum

babies always make me smile and feel younger. esp now that my baby making years are behind me.
Suzanne, thanks for resizing the video!
It was nice to build on Mary Mccurnin’s work. I also am trying to promote the work of the journalists who are digging into this story.
Industrial chemicals are an OSHA hazard. I worked in a veggie canning factory one summer break and got on a cleanup crew which used bromide (very nasty stuff).
You might want to contact OSHA and or the center for Disease control in Atlanta for some help.
My mom and sister’s flights were delayed by 4 hours because of the fog.
Yesterday we couldn’t see the Golden Gate bridge the fog was so thick.
Last night I made Phad Thai from scratch using real Thai ingredients from the Mah Wah. I took my sister there to show her the live fish and crabs and all the strange looking foods that you can’t pick up in the local market in Omaha.
my pleasure spocko — tis an important story
Spocko I left 300 open last night after Suz bailed and you dedicated it to Kelly. I figured 299 someone would take us to 300 out you popped!
Wow, thanks! That was cool. And it’s nice I got to praising one of our own.
Now I’ve got to go to bed, tomorrow we are driving to Santa Cruz.
Suz you need glasses you got the 100! You need a coffee substitute you give you energy. Might want to add some good stuff to your diet and try to get a little snooze in the afternoon.
There is all kinds of good healthy things like food yeast, molasses (in the coffee) fresh fruits and veggies and wonderful salads. Plus all that pain is an energy drain.
Maybe a little massage therapy would release some tightness for you. Look for ways to feel better.
Sleep well and be happy.
aw shit, i wasn’t paying attention to the numbers again
and i have on my forking glasses!
g’nite spocko
Kittens make me smile.
aw, what a cutie!
kitty laughs — love love love that first one
guess it is about that time again *yawn*
g’nite all and thank you for letting me spend a wee bit of time with ya tonight.
*le poof*
I guess everybody *le poofed* too…! 8-(
